  • Hello Hello,
    Welcome to my video on the 2016 Porsche Cayenne S. This V8 diesel powered Cayenne produces more torque than its petrol powered siblings and it reaches 60mph in just 5.4 seconds.
    This particular Cayenne S has over £17,000 worth of options fitted to it which brought the original purchase price to just under £80,000 when new in 2016.
    The Cayenne shares some components with its VW and Audi counterparts and it rivals vehicles such as the Range Rover Sport and BMW X5/X6.
    The Cayenne is also available in a petrol and hybrid powertrain too.
    Thanks for watching CarsofGlasgow, I hope you enjoyed this Porsche Cayenne video? If you did smash that like button too!

    Had one of these for 2 years. Best car I’ve owned only 2nd to a Panamera Turbo that it replaced. A real all rounder.

    Soo sad it's an end of an era for theses amazing big diesel engines shot down whilst they were in there prime and had soo much more to give. R.I.P 😞

    Lovely car, we also considered a cayenne s e-hybrid in 2015. We got a X5 tho, we can’t get enough of BMW’s, it’s just the perfect brand for us😅

    Hi,
    Great review,im thinking of buying the v8, and have read all comments on here, you said it has cost your friend a small fortune in one of you comments, is this just on general servicing?

    • @CarsofGlasgow
      @CarsofGlasgow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Firstly, thanks for watching. It was the parts and labour for general maintenance items that were pricey. It never broke down and left her stranded. It is a powerful and great driving SUV. I would just save a couple of thousand in the bank for the maintenance items.

    Dear Sir, Shame you didn't have the patients to check the focus. It's all in the detail when posting a video that remains online forever. Otherwise, very informative vid, thank you.

    Awesome review. If you were to choose between Porsche Cayenne Diesel 2015 (with full extras, except panoramic roof and seat heating), BMW 3.0d X5 M 2015 (with bunch of stuff) and a BMW 3.0d X5 (with full extras) , which one would you get and why ?

    • @CarsofGlasgow
      @CarsofGlasgow  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What engine is in the Cayenne? Is it the 3l unit shared with the Q7 etc or is the 4.2l V8 Diesel such as the one in this Cayenne? I would always want seat heating as its cold in Scotland more often than not. Does either have cooled seats for summer?

    • @chris96dobrev
      @chris96dobrev 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CarsofGlasgow It’s the V6 one, so yup, the 3l unit . But I don’t really care about the speed - the most important things for me are the reliability (incl less repairs, longer life of the vehicle) and the safety (incl not only the stability of the vehicle and the safety systems, but most of all the safety in case of a crash) .
      According to the seat heating/cooling - I don’t really care about that , as the vehicle has an AC anyway

    • @CarsofGlasgow
      @CarsofGlasgow  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@chris96dobrev Well if cost regarding servicing I would say go for BMW, as this Cayenne is my friends and shes had it for years and its cost her a small fortune...

    • @chris96dobrev
      @chris96dobrev 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CarsofGlasgow The cost for service is the less important thing for me . The most important are the things I mentioned. So, in that case - the Porsche is the best choice ?
