    Good job!! I'm working on one of two furnaces on my RV as we speak. I had to order the motor, limit switch and igniter; I hope once the parts arrive and I put everything back together, the heater will work!!

      Good Luck! This "project" irritated the fire out of me. Thanks for watching!

    Man, I learned a lot once again. This time the main thing I learned was to not to attempt this. Your patience and knowledge is amazing, Tony!

      Glad you enjoyed it and learned something, even if it's what not to do. LOL! My patience was wearing thin by the end of this.

      Nope! Though that came close between the furnace and the thermostat. Thanks for watching!

    Been there done that! I've had so many problems with bad propane regulators causing confusing issues over the years. I used to buy the cheapies, no longer. But of course even the good ones go bad eventually. Nice job on the video.

      In sub-zero weather we've been having problems with the new regulator... good times... I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching!

    We have a 2005 damen daybreak with a Atwood 8531-1V-DCLP furnace that won't shut down, unless you pull the fuse or turn the propane off. We have remote controls for the furnace. This has been happening for a while and we just had them replace the circuit board that said it work there for 3 hours and but we decided to try it at home it seem to cycle fine for 6 hours then my husband tried to shut it off and it didn't work, same issue

      Thanks for watching and the comment. I am not an RV repair tech, just a guy trying to fix stuff and help people in similar situations. I'd recommend contacting the shop that did the work and explain what's going on. I've had brand new circuit boards on water heaters be DOA or die shortly after installation. I've started replacing factory boards with with Dinosaur Electronics components. They may make a board for your furnace.
      You may want to look at the thermostat or control box that sends control signals to the AC and Heat. The control box I'm talking about is located in the AC unit on the 5th wheel in my video. This is a common location.
      I hope you get it figured out.

      @@cathymullen423 I had a dinosaur board go bad and it was replaced on the spot at the our local RV dealer. They said there was a problem with one of the components. Dinosaur is really good about warranty.

    So, I pulled out the burner assembly and it's rusted to pieces. But, looking online at the link you provided and others, this part isn't available for the Atwood 8531-III series. What part do I need to order to replace the burner assembly? Does the one for the IV series fit?

    • @ozarksethic
      @ozarksethic  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I dug around on a couple of forums and one poster said this fit - pdxrvwholesale.com/products/atwood-hydroflame-furnace-burner-electrode-kit-38548
      I don't know for sure but you might want to give it a try. Another option would be to replace it but you might run into problems with your thermostat and climate control module on the AC side. That's why I repaired rather than replaced the thermostat in the other video related to this one. Good Luck and thanks for watching!

    Do those exhaust insect screens do any good?

    • @ozarksethic
      @ozarksethic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, surprisingly, they do. I also silicone cut up window screen over the refrigerator vents. It prevents wasps and dirt dobbers from building in the exhausts/housings. Thanks for watching!
