72hour Overworld Design Contest Entry

My entry for the first 72 hour Overworld Design Contest. The theme of this contest was "Familiar Journey". You had to pick one of SMW's 6 submaps, and create a new map without changing or deleting any of the pre-existing paths. Level dots were allowed to be changed. I chose the Vanilla Dome map. As you can see I am once again making heavy use of ASM and custom overworld sprites. The whole map was drawn in Aseprite, aswell as the giant bowser statue, who's head is a massive custom sprite. Safe to say I went pretty hard on this entry. Maybe a bit too hard. If I hadn't pulled an all-nighter, I wouldn't have been able to finish this map.
