God I remember back when I owned my 2018 a few years back, I BEGGED Mountune USA to sell me this transmission and they refused, god finding this video takes me back. Maybe one day I'll get to do it
@@RTQuaifeEngineering, I know, it’s a HUGE ask, but the market demands it.💯 Right now, a Tremec Magnum T56 is the only aftermarket transmission with the clout to be trusted with 600+bhp/700+ft.lbs projects. Especially from classic car guys, like me.😁 I’m going sequential shifter to spare my engine a missed shift. The T56 will set me back 3.5-4K$(USD). The right aftermarket sequential shifter will rake me for ANOTHER 3k. If you guys could get around/under those sums, with comparable strength/reliability, you could blow the restomod game wide open.😶 Quaife is becoming one of those “trusted names” blue-collar car guys like me have come to respect. Especially in The States.💯 Even people who have regular T56s will likely upgrade. All-and-all, I’d pay around 8k$ for something like this.💯 However, if it were…say…A SEVEN SPEED…that really doesn’t exist ANYWHERE!😳 I’d consider up to 10k$(USD).🤷🏾♂️
Finally I can spend the $14,000 Canadian dollars I’ve been saving for the focus tranny! Now I can pair it with the 30k stroker motor and enjoy the 700+ horsepower sleeper of the streets beating ever single car
Hello, we do not provide anything that will stop the user from moneyshifting. However I can imagine a proper flatshift system with ECU could be programmed.
Hello, If your vehicle has the MMT6 gearbox then yes, it should be direct replacement. However it would be worth checking with Dallara as they may have modified the gearbox casing mounts to fit it into the vehicle. If you can forward any photos onto sales@quaife.co.uk then we could try and advise.
We don't have a set torque or power figure as the box is still using the standard shaft centres. We have similar size boxes with EN39 gears running over 1200 bhp however, there are many factors to take into account i.e. boost by gear, shock load etc. Each application is very different.
No, this one is to suit the MMT6 gearbox. I believe you have the M56 gearbox, however we only offer a sequential for the M66 gearbox, please see here: shop.quaife.co.uk/shop/gear-kits/sequential-gear-kits/ford-focus-st-rs-mk2-volvo-m66-5-speed-sequential-gearkit/
@@RTQuaifeEngineering awsome !! , sich an amazing upgrade . Is there any weight reduction compared to oem transmission ? And . Where can i purchase this gearbox ?
@@juancruz-jg5pq Hello, The weight will roughly be the same, potentially slightly lighter. Please note that yes there are now 5 gears so you would expect it to be lighter, however they are now wider than the originals. Also there is added sequential mechanisms in place. Please email our sales team at sales@quaife.co.uk if you would like to place a deposit!
Sounds dumb but with only 5 instead of 6 and gear changes what’s the fuel economy? More or less? How’s the drive on hills? Less downshifts on highway with elevation changes?
Fuel economy on the standard car isn't great! We get on average 25 mpg with the 5 speed and that is a mix of track and road. On the Hills its fine, the car has plenty of torque so pulls well in higher gears at low rpm.

Digital dash? Sequential box? Christ - 2023 could be a farking expensive year....
I don't see it on the website. Curious about gear ratios and torque rating. I also remember seeing some development of the transfer case for the RS.
Hello,
Please see our link here: shop.quaife.co.uk/shop/gearboxes/sequential/quaife-ford-focus-mk3-st250-rs-5-speed-sequential-gearbox/
Well, there goes my money. I'm very excited about this! I'm assuming shipping to the united states is an option?
Worldwide delivery is available!
Quaife I just wish you would make one of these that I could just as easily drop into a clio mk3 200
If we get enough people asking we will!
Wouldn't mind one myself
@@RTQuaifeEngineering you know the saying "if you build it they will come"
Can’t wait to order one. Would Mountune USA be able to keep a stock of rebuild parts and handle servicing?
Best to ask Mountune USA.
I wonder what would happen if you guys made a competitor to the Tremec T56…🤔
It is something potentially on our development list, please keep an eye on our socials for any updates!

Is this moneyshift safe maybe electronically controlled? One might accidentally flatshift down instead of up.

Hi! I'm considering QBE46Z to Dallara Stradale which accomodates Forcus RS engine. Do you have any info for fitting?

What about a mk3 ST?
Does this kit compatible?
Yes for the Focus? If so this is QDF41Z
Anything for the lotus S4s ?
Unfortunately not, no.
how much power / torque is it rated for ?

Is that sound comming from the sequential transmission at minute 8:14 ?
Correct yes! This is normal from a sequential gearbox, it is known as "gear whine" due to the teeth being bigger!
