    Hi, it's a nice robot. Maybe you will compare it to the Xiaomi Roidmi Eva (careful not Roidmi Eve but Eva it's their 2nd model). They released it i think and it is inspired by the Darwal. I think it will kick Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra to the moon and back in mopping. I am thinking of buying it. Congratulations on coming out with new robot reviews before Robot Wars channel. Usually he was 1st to present any new robot (good reviews not just unboxing and silly things) . You surpassed him ☺️ .

      Hahaha thanks, Vacuum Wars is still my inspiration and go to person to get the most up to date specifications. Much respect to him!!! Anyways the Roidmi Eva seems like a very viable competitor, especially since it several hundred dollars cheaper compared to the S7 MaxV and OMNI X1. I personally haven’t had the opportunity to try the Roidmi models but hopefully someday I will. Thanks for watching and the kind words.

      I noticed this when I didn’t pre wet the mopping pad, but if you have the Ultra Dock it will damp the mopping pad prior to mopping. Also on the higher water settings and Deep Mopping cleaning mode, the streaking went away.

    Thanks for the detailed review. Some questions though:
    1. what happens if there's liquid in the path? Does it avoid the spot or will it just try to vacuum it anyway? Curious about it, in case of accidental spills when the robot is left unattended
    2. Saw some comments about the mop causing scratches on hardwood flooring, did that happen in your tests?

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello as for liquids the robot will try to suck it up or mop it. I definitely recommend insuring the area is clear from those things. As for a scratching I think the best thing is to make sure the mopping pads free from a lot dirt accusation. I personally haven’t noticed the mopping pad scratching my floor. It could also depend on how tough the flooring is as well.

      Minimal clearance which includes the dome on top is around 4.24 inches. Keep in mind I recommend leaving around 4.5 inches but should work at 4.25 inches. Robotock says the height 3.8 inches but I don’t think that includes the dome on top.

      @@RobotMasters (A little big but i hope you don't mind)
      First run it seemed a little erratic: went to a really small toilet 3 times, and some nonsense navigation but sure it will "learn" better with the time. Also, I don't know if it's really more silent than my (very) old S50 but it doesn't seem, at all, to have the claimed 5100Pa suction power, even at max power.
      The app is also good but there's one thing that, unbelievable, is lacking: option to delete just one division. My living room has big glass doors and Roborock saved it like it was an extension of the living room and now i can't delete it.
      Just one last question: do you know what kind of cleaning products are safe to use for the mop? Obviously they say to only use their own but not only it seems to be more towards really tough stains (and i want just to mop better than only with water, and to leave a fresh smell) but also it's ridiculous expensive.
      Thanks and sorry for another message (and this time a big one).

    Sooooo…. I am very interested in either this or the comparable one coming out from Ecovacs. My floor is hardwood with several rugs here and there. What I am HOPING (can you confirm) that this unit will do, is vacuum the wood floor, and at the same time mop. If it comes to a rug, it will recognize the rug, and stop the mopping action, just continue on and vacuum the rug. The process continues. When it returns to the base, it will self-empty the dust bag, and change out the water in the tank with fresh water, and clean the mop head. Is this all correct? Thank you,

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that is correct. When it in counters a carpet or rug the mopping pad lifts up and only vacuums. When the water tank gets low it will automatically go back an refill the water tank. Can cover up to 3,230 SQFT. As for cleaning the mopping pad you can set a certain duration or have it go back once a room done.

      Well it hard to say exactly. The W10 doesn’t have self emptying and is significantly cheaper. I would say the mopping performance is better on the S7 due to the vibrating mopping pad vs counter spinning ones. This is based on my personal testing. As for vacuuming they both do well. The side brush on the S7 is larger so it able to get debris from the edges and corners better. One thing I like about the W10 is the carpet avoidance sensor when mopping. In some areas of my home I have to physically remove the mopping pad on the S7 because it too thick and just drags it over the carpet. If you want all the advance obstacle avoidance and features than get the S7. If mopping more of a priority and want to save some money the W10 not a bad option.

How thorough is cleaning the mop compared to cleaning the mop on the w 10?

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello so the cleaning system very similar to the W10. It can remove most of the dirt and debris. The W10 has a heating drying element where the S7 Ultra doesn’t.

    • @matikl70
      @matikl70 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@RobotMasters O.k., thank you. 👍OK, but what does that mean in practice. Should the wiping cloth then be removed after each cleaning of the S7 MaxV Ultra to dry after each cleaning or can it get stuck like with the w10? wet rags usually start to smell and develop germs.🤔

    • @RobotMasters

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good eye, yes that correct unlike the S7 self emptying dock which has two filters plus the dirt bag, the Ultra Dock relies on just the disposable bag. There no filter that I am aware of. Like the iRobot self emptying system it uses a high quakes of sealing disposable bag. It feels higher quality than what on the S7 and according to Roborock it rated E18. Also Roborock will be releasing a washable bag that should last 6-12 months.

    This review so good and helpful. I am in love with this. When does it comes out (tentatively)? Is $ 1400 for both the products?
    A few other questions:
    1. Can we add hot/warm water for mopping?
    2. Are there any particular liquids/chemicals needed for the mop feature or does any standard cleaning liquid work?
    3. Do we have the option to buy these bags & mop separately? (I believe they are new)
    4. What are the standard post-purchase services & warranty?
    5. Have anyone had any issues with the application per se?
    6. I know it says any floors - but does it help with wet floors (like bathrooms to wipe it up?)
    7. What's the highest it can 'climb' up to? I have these dividers in my apartment that are around 2 inches, will it be able to cross that?
    8. What's the max it can deal with to go below? (Like a mini step)

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello so as for adding chemicals to the mopping water tank, it not recommended. Harsh chemicals could potentially damage the pump and rubber houses inside the robot. I know Roborock will have their own cleaning solution.
      As for the thresholds, the max is a free mm so you would need to divide the area into two maps or physical help the robot over the barrier. You can also make a ramp. As for warranty, I believe it a year and roborock provides accessories aka bags.
      Wet floors is not recommended not designed to pickup wet spills. Lastly the Application works well and haven’t really noticed any problems. Roborock actively updated their software every few months.
