Great review! Just to be sure, they only difference between the S7 MaxV and the S7 MaxV Ultra is the Ultra docking station, right? If I go with the S7 MaxV, will I be able to just add the Ultra docking station later?
Yep! The S7MaxV part of both names refers to the exact same robot vacuum. And then the word Ultra refers to the Ultra Empty, Wash, Fill dock. The S7MaxV arrived for me prior to the Ultra dock, so I was testing the vac for a bit until the Ultra dock arrived. Then all you need to do is remove an air port in the dust bin holder (I'll show this in an upcoming video) and then replace the standard charging dock with the Ultra dock when it arrives.
Not likely. Roborock does not intend to sell the docking stations separately in the future. You'll notice if you look for one to buy, they are pretty much unavailable. If you find one, it won't be cheap. Many people found this out the hard way after they bought the vacuum with the intent of buying the dock later. A ton of people returned their vacuums, then bought the vacuum/dock package.
Yeah unfortunately only the S7 MaxV at this stage. The Ultra dock comes out in the US early May, so thats about a month after the S7 MaxV came out there. So maybe Aus could see the dock in June? Just guessing there though. I've asked my contact at Roborock and waiting on a reply so hopefully I can give you an answer there :)
Roborock sells their own brand of special cleaning liquid but it´s truly not required to use it. If you are not sure about the quality of your water at home, everybody recommends using distilled water to prevent the robot from limescale.
Hi Thomas, I was fortunate enough to be sent a pre-release unit from Roborock. It will be available for purchase this coming Friday the 8th in the US market from Amazon or the US Roborock Store!
What made you change from S7 to S7 MaxV? What's the real world difference if we forget about the specs? The reason I'm asking, I'm thinking of buying S7, possibly with the dock with the vacuum bin, because it is cheaper. Thanks for your reviews btw!
Hey mate, as mentioned in the video, I was given the S7 MaxV for review. I did buy my S7 and Auto Empty dock though. I've recently moved into a new 2 storey place and I have 1 vacuum upstairs and 1 downstairs at the moment. Downstairs is all hard floors, so the S7MaxV with the Ultra Wash Fill Dock has been super useful for running the mop over the hard floors. Upstairs is 90% carpets, so the Ultra Dock would be of no benefit there, so thats where I have the S7 with Auto Empty Dock. The AI of the S7MaxV is great, but if you don't leave much on your floor to trip it up, it isn't as beneficial. There are some other minor software benefits of the S7MaxV too, but to me that wouldn't be a deciding factor. For me I think it comes down to dock compatibility. And if you have a lot of hard floors and want to use the mopping function, look at the S7MaxV Ultra. But if you have mostly carpet and don't mind wetting the mop pad before mopping, the S7+ is a great choice. There is a middle option too, the S7 Pro Ultra. But I'm yet to see too much about that, or what countries that is available.
Do I need to empty the water tank? Where does the dirty water go?
Great review!

I wonder whether it’s more cost effective to wait and but the Ultra set when it’s released or just buy the vacuum itself now 🤔
Where can the S7 MaxV be purchased?
Hi Cameron, the S7 MaxV will be available for purchase this coming Friday the 8th in the US market from Amazon or the US Roborock Store!
@@iamjoshstunell Thanks Josh, I do wonder when we can get it here in Australia. Hopefully not long after the US!
I’m a little confused about the water. Can you put regular water ? Don’t you need to fill the tank with special cleaning liquid

I hope it has sensor on the dustbin
how to add 2nd floor in apps?
Open app, select robot, three dots up top right, manage maps, change to multi-level
where did you buy it?

I'm guessing the reason is affiliate marketing and the fact that you were given the new model. Am I correct?
