Yeah, this is some pretty insane tech in a very small package! If it wasn't a major company with good customer service, it would make me nervous. But it is.
I currently have a Shark dumb Robot, and I was impressed initially by what it picked up so I started doing research on Roborock S7, fell in LOVE with it and wanted to buy it so bad until I realized the MaxV was a going to be released this year. Now in limbo, waiting for this one's release. Super excited!
@@MrBlueCreeper Roborock asked us to not review it until it's released. First looks are okay, but not a full review. At least that's what they told me! And it's probably because it's not ready. The firmware is going to need updates based on what we discover while we use it.
@@MrRoombato when is washing floor, doesn't go close to wall or close to cabinets. I see on that video, that is little way from wall. That is my concern
@@TD-di1hq I haven't noticed mine doing that at any more than any other robot. If it does, usually it's because of the object avoidance system. That tends to improve with time and firmware updates. Something there is triggering it in the spots it avoids.
Already have the plexiglass and did a preliminary test on the protective plastic that you’re supposed to peel off. I can’t say for certain yet but it seems like it doesn’t scratch.
I have the S7 and put it on my glass table to see if those teeth would touch, and they don’t. I was able to look under the machine and push it along the glass table and can be certain they never touch the glass. I’ve had the S7 since December and I use the heck out of the machine. I have used it for 500+ cycles and for almost 300 hours and no scratches. My house is almost exclusively hardwood floors too.
@@pklemm1 I've done the plexiglass test and it didn't leave a mark. I also did what you did, put it up on a surface, and you're right, the plastic teeth don't touch at all. The only thing that does touch is that clear squeegee. So if people are having scratching problems I suggest cleaning that thing periodically.
Here's their vid. You can get a very good idea of how the system works. There's a rotating bristle brush, the housing moves side to side over the mop pad and the bristle brush housing sprays water on the mop pad as the brush spins. Then the dirty water is suctioned away into the dirty water bin. th-cam.com/video/Hj-8C6YOJok/w-d-xo.html
Thank you shall check it out. I think I just meant to see before after of the cleanliness of mop eg if mop is stained with flour/dye/dust? Can the mop portion be detached and washed occasionally?
@@moonbow889 oh, that. Mine has stayed new looking and it mops every day. But yeah, it’s the regular S7 mop pad. They are cheap and readily available. They are installed and removed the same way.
You can set it either way. It's based on time or rooms/zones. I had it set to clean it every 20 minutes but that was too often so I changed it to 25 which was just right.
Hey very cool robot. Kinda wish mine had a Plasma Laser so it can zap away all of the wife’s shoes. She has way too many of them. I like your style of videos, keep up the good work 👍
Nope (at least not yet). So you're going to have stay clean and avoid inhaling nasty dust as you dump the gross bin into your trash and aerosolize weeks worth of mold and carcinogens! :P
@@MannysMadeatHome Yeah, I get that. The thing is, I like self-empty docks because I don't have to dump nasty debris into the trash myself (and cause all of the aforementioned issues). That's half of the convenience of these docks for me. The other half is not having to do anything on a daily or near daily basis. The bagless system solves half of that problem, but preserves the other half.
@@MrRoombato Hmmm I see bags almost like a subscription, after dropping over a grand on the whole thing I don’t think I want to spend anymore than I have to, but to each their own if there is no mention of a bagless version I’ll prob still go ahead and get it I am too impatient and love my s7 so much I just know this one is going to be amazing!
Question, how the mop self-cleaning work? Will mop some areas and is going back to the dock to clean the mop and then continue? Or is mopping all areas with the same dirty mop?
Hi, when the robot was doing the mopping thing, did it come back to the dock to wash the pad several times or it just carried the dirty pad to mop the whole house?
It comes back to wash it, and you decide how often. You can do it by room or based on elapsed minutes. You can have it clean the mop as often as you like during the cleaning run. I set mine for 25 minutes. Default is 20. But you can go way down.
@@MrRoombato wow, thank you. I have been waiting for the Evovacs x1 omni to be realeased in Australia (they havenot released the international model so it cannot be used with Alexa) because I ‘d love to have a self cleaning mopping pad in a robot vacumn. I have been looking around internet reviews about that one but they are all in Chinese. Now Roborock released the new model which has the same features plus it can be used with Google home and will be available in Q2-2022 on US Amazon, I think we will have them here in Australia in July. Maybe I will wait until then and go with Roborock 😁
Missing another side brush and rotating MOPs. And they need to make it little faster. And it's own water tank, so that it doesn't need to go and wet the mop. Then maybe.
It has its own water tank, which the dock fills. It's quite large too. Two side brushes don't really do anything. I like them also, but not for practical reasons. With all of the robots I've tested, I never noticed an actual difference in cleaning performance. Rotating mops...as I said in the vid, the only thing that would do is widen the cleaning path and make it clean a little faster, but then it wouldn't be able to lift the mop and you'd have to manually remove the pads for it to go on rugs and carpeting. Is that worth it to make it mop faster?
@@MrRoombato when I said to mop faster and vacuum faster i ament moving faster when doing it. They all move way to slow, I think they can move faster. And rotating MOPs don't smire stuff all over they actually mop much better. And what they can do they can make them stop rotating when on a carpet
@@Nenad-ICXC-Shuput-GFAMMA Actually the vibrating pad seems to clean better. That's the results I've had to so far. Not much better, but there is just a bit less sticky stuff on the floor afterwards.
@@Nenad-ICXC-Shuput-GFAMMA I plan to do another "ultimate mopping challenge" with all three of these at some point. Then you can see for yourself. And it's possible that my impressions were wrong, since I didn't do these tests back to back.
LIDAR navigation has no issues with darkness, it makes zero difference. The object recognition may be affected, but it has both camera and laser sensors and a front mounted light, so I don't think it will matter much at all. But I will test object avoidance in the dark.
That's too hard to answer. It is better at vacuuming and mopping at the same time, but since it can't empty its own dustbin, if you run on a schedule that doesn't matter. If you manually control each cleaning, then yes, the W10 would get the job done faster. The W10 is also far less efficient with water, so you'll have to dump/fill the tanks more often.
@@MrRoombato Thank you for your answer! I will prefer the dream and not the roborock....i love the white design more than the new one from roborock! The self empty dustbin is not Important for me and i think the wet cleaningsystem from dreame w10 is better......lol...we will see......
I don't think any robot can do that. That's a very large threshold. Unless it's a ramp? Then it would depend on how steep it is. But like...don't you stub your toes on it? :)
Is the dock able to clean the mop within each cycle (not after each cycle), i.e. clean room A, go back to dock to wash the mop and then proceed to clean room B? Thanks.
Well, sort of. In the strictest sense, no, they are about the same. But when they vacuum and mop at the same time, the W10 does a better job because the spinning pads provide better coverage. Roborock doesn't want to overlap too much when they do both vacuuming and mopping, probably to avoid sucking water into the dust bin, so in dual mode, it's worse. The issue is that only the center of the mop pad on the S7 actually mops. The edges barely make contact. Set on its deep/intense/whatever mop only mode, it does a great job, as good or maybe better than the W10 (because it has to overlap a lot to get total coverage). But consider the dust bin and how you wouldn't have to empty it every day if you got the S7 MaxV.
@@MrRoombato I have lots of long dog hair so emptying features tend to be hit or miss for me. I just want the best robot mopper period. It seems the W10 applies actual force through the spinning pads then the Roborock does with the mop pad.
Will the bot itself, a S7 ('regular') fit on this base station? (Sorry if i missed this.) Or will some features be omitted? (I would love a self filling/cleaning mopping station).
Actually, I just realized that it can't, because the dock fills the water tank on the S7 MaxV, and the S7 doesn't have this interface. But maybe they'll sell a new water tank.
Thank you! After my question, I tried to search for extra info myself too: what I've found: it's kind of hard to explain but the 'plus' or 'ultra' has to do with the extra/base station. So indeed, the S7 (bot) will not fit with the s7maxV (!) base station...
@@JKrijnen It's a shame, because not everyone needs object avoidance. It would have been nice for S7 owners to be able to get a new water tank and use this base station. Did you find out exactly what makes it so it can't fit?
Plan on getting this guy, currently have a old Samsung Powerbot VR9000 series that's probably about 6-7 years old now but still holding on. The price is a bit much but if I was to get another robo vacuum and dedicated mop like the Narwal T10, would probably end up spending more. I'd assume you can turn the sound/ voice notifications off? Cant wait to see a long term review!
Wondering how you did the robot voice on this video? Did you use a vocoder? That was really neat, I have a vocoder connected to my keyboard, I have a blast with it.
Hi Mr. Roombato. I have a house with parquet floor and I am looking for which is the best robot but for mopping. Which one is in your opinion the one that cleans best with mopping of all the ones you have tried? I really like the Dreame W10 because of the drying issue. I see that others don't have it and I find it very practical since I'm many hours outside and above all hygienic.
As far as pure mopping goes, I can't really tell much difference between the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra and the W10. However, the W10's pad cleaning system is more robust. Fewer moving parts, less maintenance. You'd be giving up object avoidance and a lot of features, but if mopping is your priority, I'd go with the W10. Just be ready to empty the dust bin by hand frequently.
@@MrRoombato Thank you for your prompt response. You have provided me with all the help I needed. A hug and I will continue to follow your excellent work. Best regards.
Yes, it can climb a barrier that high. But most robots can, unless their climbing algorithm is dumb. This robot has a good one. But I've seen some that make the robot back up after it climbs the threshold. So dumb.
The Dreame W10 is excellent. This Roborock is better in most ways, but not all! I can't really say much until my official review, but the Dreame W10 is far from obsolete.
my house is 85% carpet, the remaining 15% are tiles (kitchen and bathrooms). how does this machine handle the floor without dragging wet mop all over my apartment?
@@MrRoombato I just realized something... Since the Auto-Empty Dock sucks out debris from the main brush roller, and the brush roller spins, the suction of the base is pulling any stuck debris on the brush roll, making the brush scratch-free!
Does it dry the pad after finishing the entire house ? If not it's gonna smell and stink - that makes it a hassle to keep replacing them or drying them everytime.
No, it doesn't. But I have it mopping every day (which is really easy to do because the water tanks last a long time and all you have to do to keep it going is dump the dirty one and fill the clean one), so it's not an issue. If you plan to only mop once a week or something where it becomes an issue, you probably don't need a self washing mop.
@@MrRoombato thank you for the promt reply Mr. Roombato 🙂👍 keep up the Good Work your doing and helping us choose the right product - rather than falling for the marketing gimmicks! Appreciate your honest reviews !
Awesome review! Do you plan to review the new Ecovacs Deebot X1 when it launches? I feel like I'll get that one instead since I think it'll mop better due to its two spinning brushes.
Sorry I missed this comment, TH-cam's notification system sucks. Yes, I have one now and I'm testing it, but I'm slower with reviews than most because I actually use them in my home and see how they work in the real world over time.
Correct. Because there are no bristles, it doesn't pick up all of the fine stuff like flour. Most of it, but not all. It's not the perfect hard floor cleaner, but despite that, it's still one of the best. I wish they included a hard floor brush (the soft fluffly kind) as an option. The rubber is great on carpet but the fluffy thing is best on hard floors.
Great sneak peek video, thank you! Have you ever considered doing a scratch test on the sonic mops? I have a Ecovacs AIVI T8 and I’ve held off on getting the enhanced mopping attachment because I’m concerned it might scratch the floor once it picks up some grit. The auto clean function on this S7 should decrease the risk but I find, even if I jump up and clean my T8 mop every 20 mins, there’s a fair amount of grit on the pad at the end of each cycle.
If it picks up grit, and enough of it, it will scratch. But I think it's a minor concern because it's sporadic. Even walking on floors in shoes scratches them. Dragging chairs, setting down amazon packages...everything you do scratches them. What you want to be concerned with is if something scratches them all the time as part of its normal function, like the Roomba s9. That's continuous, constant damage and it adds up, however minor each pass may be.
Really enjoy your channel. I'm wondering if you plan to review any robots from Neato or Samsung? Neato especially is another major brand in the robot vacuum market.
@@MrRoombato I have an older Neato, I think it's the XV12, it doesn't have any WIFI or app features but still works very well and cleans really well. I think if I ever get another robot vacuum it's going to be a Roborock. That new S7 max sounds like it might be the best robot available right now, all of the reviews I have seen are really good. Hopefully you can do a full review.
It depends what you mean by better. The W10 seems to be, at least thus far, a better mop unless you use Roborock's deep mopping (a lot of overlap) mode, which it won't let you do while vacuuming at the same time (this may change before release!). But...the W10 does not empty its own dustbin, does not have object detection/avoidance, cannot do two way video conferencing and the app lacks some of the cooler features like full google home/alexa integration (W10 only has "start" and "stop"). The Roborock is also more efficient with water usage. The W10 is LOT less expensive though, and does a fantastic job. So at the end of the day, it's really matter of what features are important to you.
Roborock vacuums are of really good quality and I really loved my s5 max I bought a year and a half ago untill my cat literally desided to leave a massive wet diarrhea dookie on it ruinning it. I tried contacting support about my issue but they werent really helpful but with their "help" and some youtube videos I was able to disasemble it clean it out as much as I could and then get it back to work for a little while until the battery died from some hidden dookie.
@@MrRoombato I tried asking but their support was horrible and as for getting a thirdparty battery / a battery from an unofficial source the cheapest I could find was around 200€ on aliexpress which is a little bit more than half of what I paid for my s5 max originally.
With these new vacuum cleaners that come with a laser, Will the laser hurt the pet's eyes? I understand that the laser is invisible to us, but that doesn't mean that the pets will see the lasers.
The lasers are extremely low power, so unless the pet (and we both know you mean cats! :) ) chases the robot with astounding agility and positions its eyes so they are continuously bombarded, it isn't an issue.
Thank, lol Yes I have 2 lovable cats that love the laser. I currently own a roomba it's an older model I believe it's a 980 and I think it's time to upgrade better vacuum cleaner and put the old one in the garage to back in the garage floor. Thank you for creating some wonderful videos very helpful in an informative.
How would you rank this vs. the Deebot X1 Omni? Debating waiting for this or buying that now (Apr ‘22). Edit: To note, I have 2 short haired puppers that shake off light loose (yet sticky) fur when they sneeze! Concerned if this brush head will hold up. Thoughts?
As of right now, I would wait for the Roborock, it will be out April 8th, which is just a few days away. The X1 OMNI is good but it has some issues that will need to be worked out.
@@rossy2468ify So far, the object avoidance is overzealous, it reacts to thins like some of my floor transitions as obstacles to be avoided. And there is nothing in the app to tell it "no bad robot." Also the poor water flow, which I mentioned in the video, which is being addressed. That's pretty much it, but that first one is pretty major. They will fix, I am in talks with the product manager and he is aware of it and is addressing it.
@@spikeyboy I'm assuming you mean M6, as iRobot doesn't have an M7. That's a tough one. If your M6 can get everywhere in your house (cross floor dividers, etc.) then the difference is what you have to do to keep it running. It's much, much, much more convenient and easier to dump dirty water and fill a clean water tank than to change mop pads and fill the internal tank on the M6. So while the M6 will do a fine job mopping, and the j7 will do a fine job vacuuming (and a stellar job avoiding dog poo!), the big differences are the navigation and ease of keeping it going. The S7 MaxV Ultra is going to be a much better/easier experience.
So, thick carpets/ area rugs are out? It doesn't dry the pads? Having to remove the mopping attachment every time you vacuum defeats the purpose. I just want a self washing mop only. Maybe Roomba or I life will come out with one.
Why out? I actually turned off carpet avoidance because all the mop does is make my little rug damp. I think. I can’t actually feel any dampness. I don’t believe it dries the mop pad and that may be an issue in extremely humid areas. Or it may not be. Also, you don’t have to remove anything. If mopping my rug barely makes it damp (in theory!), then lifting the mop should not be much different on thick carpet. If you just want a self washing mop, get the Narwal T10. iRobot is fixated on vslam and that’s junk tech.
@@MrRoombato I'm in Florida. I guess that's considered pretty humid. I just don't want damp carpets and dog paws. My other issue is it mopping as it's vacuuming hard floors. The pad is wider than the brush roll, so you are wetting the floor before it vacuums. Not sure if you can set it to lift the pad on hard floors. I'm not opposed to VSLAM, I think the Brava m6 does a good job at navigation. I could do the Obode, but that won't come till July.
@@richardsmith1161 If you think the m6 does a great job navigating, wait until you see a lidar robot in action! You can get it to lift the mop in hard floors. The way I have mine working is it goes out and does vacuuming only every morning at 5AM. Then it returns and empties its dust bin, and then it goes back out and does mopping only. This is because the deep, overlapping mopping pattern isn't available in mop and vac mode. I can see why they made that decisions...the rubber brush would squeegee a lot of that water into the dust bin. Regardless, it doesn't really matter to me, since I'm not awake when it does it.
@@MrRoombato My main concern is the edge pass. The M6 does an edge pass at the end. The one's with the spinning pads seem do leave debris along the edge. I usually run my mops at work or at night with a smart bulb to see
@@richardsmith1161 The ones with the spinning pads leave debris along the edge only if they are vacuuming and mopping at the same time, which obviously the m6 can't do. I like the edge pass at the end with the vacuums, but with the mops it doesn't matter.
I can't, I don't have an S7. At this point there is little reason for Roborock to sent it to me. But it should be the same, except for AI/object avoidance, and of course the self-washing mop stuff. Otherwise, the hardware is identical.
I think the Robot and the Station look functional but not great. I would love to put them under a small table or something but then I couldnt take out the containers for water without moveing the table. I would love beeing able to remove the water containers from the front.
Looks are very subjective, and they're not going to please everyone no matter what they. I prefer this to the box look of the others, unless that box is very shiny and nice.
Well my T8 AIVI is still almost unusable because of how it nukes its own map on a regular basis and Ecovacs won't fix it, so I guess we'll have to see!
They both suck! I gave it a year and I’m not impressed. Tried the i7 not enough suction. Tried the s9+ it’s perfect but not with kid toys and dog poop, the J7+ is great but the suction stinks! The Braavajet M6 is a laughing joke!
@@huntermeyers1242 I still think that the Roomba is robust reliable cleaner. i7 is still more the practical side and quite reliable, maybe the j7 too. But I got 2 Roomba i7, the older one does a more relable (good) job than the newer one.
So typically, an object avoiding robot has laser navigation (on top, in the dome) and either a camera or a laser sensor up front. Such a sensor is separate from the lidar laser and is used to sense small objects. Some objects are better avoided with cameras and others with these front mounted lasers. The S7 MaxV has a lidar dome, a camera up front AND an up front laser sensor for detecting/avoiding more objects than the camera alone (or a laser alone) could manage.
@@arun.sekher Yes, but the S7 MaxV has a camera, lidar, AND a set of laser sensors up front for object avoidance (which work with the camera). The S6 MaxV only has a camera up front and a lidar on top.
The reason why I gave you a negative review was solely due to you not actually showing the complete mopping action. You briefly displayed the mop in action, and then you skipped the actual mopping action of completely removing all the mess, instead you decided to only show the cleaned floor after the fact. Any sceptic will have major concerns that you actually stopped the filming in order to remove the stains by hand and then attempted to state that those stains were removed by the Roborock. Never do a half/A$$ job when you are attempting to video a review, it leaves too many questions unanswered when there are missing portions for the viewers.
I understand your concerns. But first, I did show the complete mopping action. It was fast forwarded. I cut to show the clean floor, as I always do, because it takes about 10 minutes for the floor to dry. If I wanted to fake results, I can fake results pretty easily and you would never know. But why would I do that? These companies don't pay me. Second, this is not a review, it's a first look. I was not allowed to do a review until the product was actually released.
No thank you I stick to my s7 I don’t need all those stuffs I like to changes the pads every room . To each their own, but you should know, I've been using mine for almost a month now with the same pad, and the pad looks just like it did the day I first got it. The system does an excellent job of cleaning the pad, and you can have it clean it as often as you'd like as it does its job.
How much will it cost with the dock? I have the S7 and I really like it, but the self cleaning mop can win me over! 😂 It’s pretty annoying to wash it every time .. Also the cable test is impressive! If I have cables on the floor- It gets it .. it’s annoying!
LOL!!! Okay but, in all seriousness, how many do you think will complain in my comments that it doesn't have that awesome voice? ROBOROCK! PLEASE GIVE IT THAT VOICE!!
Oh hell no!!!! That’s an eyesore!!!! I would not purchase this. I have the s5 and s7 with the auto empty bin which work great but this is too damn big and a complete eyesore in my house!
That is not actually true. There is only one disadvantage to the scrubbing pad, and that is how much area it covers (the edges of it don't really do anything). That means the robot will take longer to mop the same area as well as a robot with roller brushes (it will need to either make more passes or make tighter turns, which is one of the mopping modes of the S7). However, the S7's mopping pad has one very big advantage. If you have carpet or even a door rug, on a robot like the X1 OMNI, you will have to take the mop pads off for it to go on the rug/carpet. On robots that you can force onto the rug, they will get it wet. The Roborock, however, can lift its mop pad and vacuum your entire house, and only mop the non-carpeted areas. You don't know how annoying it is to have a robot like the X1 and one tiny rug (front door) in your entire house that the robot cannot even go over without you removing those pads.
Well, I've watched a few other videos on this and I'm really not impressed. Roborock, I think has a better marketing department than products. Just my thoughts.

I like your style of videos, keep up the good work 👍
Thank you, master!!
Is there a base with no disposable bags? Or maybe only in Europe like the S7?
Nope (at least not yet). So you're going to have stay clean and avoid inhaling nasty dust as you dump the gross bin into your trash and aerosolize weeks worth of mold and carcinogens! :P
@@MrRoombato That sucks, bagless is so much more convenient, not to mention cheaper in the long run 🙈
@@MrRoombato Hmmm I see bags almost like a subscription, after dropping over a grand on the whole thing I don’t think I want to spend anymore than I have to, but to each their own if there is no mention of a bagless version I’ll prob still go ahead and get it I am too impatient and love my s7 so much I just know this one is going to be amazing!
can we buy the S7 MaxV by itself now and add the ultra dock later as an add-on?
Yes, you can.
Question, how the mop self-cleaning work? Will mop some areas and is going back to the dock to clean the mop and then continue? Or is mopping all areas with the same dirty mop?
You can control that. You can have it go back to clean after every room or you can have it go back after a period of time (that you set).
How about high thresholds? like 3cm high.?
I don't think so, 3cm is extreme. I would put in a ramp. That's not a normal threshold.

where can i get one?
They won't be available until April.
Not much better, but there is just a bit less sticky stuff on the floor afterwards.

can you pls test under completely dark environment as well? thx
LIDAR navigation has no issues with darkness, it makes zero difference. The object recognition may be affected, but it has both camera and laser sensors and a front mounted light, so I don't think it will matter much at all. But I will test object avoidance in the dark.
Hi is the Dreambox w10 better in mopping?
Can it go over door thresholds above 3cm?
I don't think any robot can do that. That's a very large threshold. Unless it's a ramp? Then it would depend on how steep it is. But like...don't you stub your toes on it? :)
@@MrRoombato 3mm :)
@@malcolmtelfaries Ah, then definitely yes. And more than that. :)
Hey hey! Great Vid! How long does the station last? How often do you change the water / bag?
Bag about once a month, water depends on how much mopping you do. When I had it mop every day, I was changing the water twice a week.
Is the dock able to clean the mop within each cycle (not after each cycle), i.e. clean room A, go back to dock to wash the mop and then proceed to clean room B? Thanks.
Yes, you can set it to clean after ever room, or by time interval.
I want the best robot mopper because i already have a 6 maxv. Is the W10 a better mopper?

Yes. You can either do it every room or after a specific time. Default is 20 minutes. I have mine set to 25.
I wanted one, are you joking about the robot sound?
Unfortunately I am joking. I would pay a lot of money for a robot that actually sounded like that.
Will the bot itself, a S7 ('regular') fit on this base station? (Sorry if i missed this.) Or will some features be omitted? (I would love a self filling/cleaning mopping station).
I'll ask Roborock and get back to you.

Hi Mr.
Just be ready to empty the dust bin by hand frequently.

how much do you think this will cost?
$1399 USD
8:13 it didn't pickup EVERYTHING, no??
Question: Can you already buy it? I read its available in april?
No, not until April. They sent them to reviewers early.

Do you like this one more than the W10?
Really like the W10 but not sure if Roborock S7 + or the W10 is better?

@@MrRoombato I have a j7 and m7 combo which in tot costs the same, would you say it does better?
@@MrRoombato hopefully you continue making more videos on the roborock.
@@spikeyboy I will!

I don't get it. First one with laser and camera? Doesnt the s6 maxv have laser and camera also?
So typically, an object avoiding robot has laser navigation (on top, in the dome) and either a camera or a laser sensor up front. Such a sensor is separate from the lidar laser and is used to sense small objects. Some objects are better avoided with cameras and others with these front mounted lasers. The S7 MaxV has a lidar dome, a camera up front AND an up front laser sensor for detecting/avoiding more objects than the camera alone (or a laser alone) could manage.

I use a clean pad for each room I don’t like to keep the same one, everyday I use around 7 pads I put them in the washer and done ready for tomorrow I am home all day so I can do that maybe this is for people who work and can’t be Changing pads and cleaning the bin
To each their own, but you should know, I've been using mine for almost a month now with the same pad, and the pad looks just like it did the day I first got it. The system does an excellent job of cleaning the pad, and you can have it clean it as often as you'd like as it does its job.
Cool
How much will it cost with the dock? I have the S7 and I really like it, but the self cleaning mop can win me over! 😂
It’s pretty annoying to wash it every time ..
Also the cable test is impressive! If I have cables on the floor- It gets it .. it’s annoying!
I believe it will be 1399.
Now some dillweed on Amazon is gonna be leaving a review walking about “mine didn’t come with a plasma laser. 1 ⭐️ “
LOL!!! Okay but, in all seriousness, how many do you think will complain in my comments that it doesn't have that awesome voice? ROBOROCK! PLEASE GIVE IT THAT VOICE!!
@@MrRoombato that voice would scare the crap out of my daughter. I definitely need it 🤣
@@nolainnogain Me too!
first comment, its beautiful --thats wht you say to your cleaning lady/man..cmon man
Well if I had one, I'd say it!
Oh hell no!!!! That’s an eyesore!!!! I would not purchase this. I have the s5 and s7 with the auto empty bin which work great but this is too damn big and a complete eyesore in my house!
To each their own! The Ecovacs X1 OMNI might be more your thing. It's prettier.
Their mop technology is still lagging.. need roller brushes
Domo arigato Mr -Roboto- Roombato
Yay! Another person gets the reference!

III?
Well, I've watched a few other videos on this and I'm really not impressed. Roborock, I think has a better marketing department than products. Just my thoughts.
Have you even used one? Roborock is one of the best.
Sorry I missed this comment, TH-cam's notification system sucks. That hasn't been my experience. This is only my second Roborock (the first was the S6 MaxV) but both have been excellent. What about it bothers you?
