    Awesome video! How would you compare the deep cleaning capabilities vs the Roomba S9 (specifically on carpet, crevasses, etc) from what you’ve seen so far??

    • @AdrianLauf
      @AdrianLauf 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We have both an Roomba S9+ and the S7MVU. The S9 is hands down a much better carpet vacuum. The single rubber-only brushroll on the S7MVU struggles with debris on medium-pile carpet in a way that the S9 never would. Too bad the S9 is a disaster in just about every other way possible - navigation issues, firmware issues, obstacle sensing issues, self-empty issues, etc. I've had to have 5 replacement S9s, and finally I just gave up, despite having the extended warranty. S7VMU is superior in just about every other way. I just wish it did better on carpet. It's passable, but at this price point, it should be mind-blowing, and it simply isn't in that regard.

      @@AdrianLauf have you tried changing the brush ?

    • @AdrianLauf
      @AdrianLauf 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Letmewatchsomevideos It's a brand new brush, so I'd hope it would work as well as it should. It does an acceptable job for the most part, but the aggressive double brush on the S9 is just better. So, from time to time I run the S9 for a deep cleaning.

    thanks for the review!! i currently have the regular S7 and i love it! Regarding your setup of cleaning, i think that this is a smart way to work with it so you dont have a damp mop going over the ruggs. However, i know that you can also set the order of rooms that it cleans. That way you can do select all rooms and it will clean the rooms in the order you set so you dont have to turn it on again to mop to other ones. You can also customize the rooms which ones you want to have mopped and vacuumed and which ones only vacuumed.. Keep up with the good content!

    Great Video, Adam. I was hoping you could cover the durability of the components in your upcoming review. I'm concerned about this model+base station needing more maintenance. If you could, please point out which components are easy to get replacements for and which components might be easy to install and replace. In particular, I'm worried about the mop cleaning brush in the base station. It looks like a lot of moving parts and I have not heard anything about replacement components. I know the vacuum brush and mop are replaceable, but what about the gearbox, motor assemblies (side spinning brush) and wheels?

    @AdamsTechReviews In the app are you not able to set a cleaning sequence? Like set this room to 1 this room to 2 and so on. So you will set your carpet rooms to 1,2,3 then the floors to 4,5,6. So it will always start with the carpet rooms first then move onto the floors. I'm testing out the Deepbot X1 Omni and the app has this feature so I thought it was pretty much standard on all apps. Another Issue I am having is that at the start of the cleaning sequence it will clean and wet the spin mop pads, even though it will start with the carpet rooms first. I sent them feedback to change the clean sequence so that it only wets & cleans at the start of clean sequence if it starts with a room that is to be mopped, then when its done with carpet area's will return to the dock to clean and wet the spin pads.

      @@AdamsReviews Does the app let you set the cleaning level for each room. Like you can set a room to have a higher level of suction and higher level of water usage for mopping? For those rooms that are high traffic or are the dedicated pet area, a higher cleaning level would be needed.

    What is the capacity of the clean water tank on the base station? And how much water does it use when it cleans the mop pad? I'm trying to figure out how long a tank of water will last me and these stats will help. You mentioned that the initial tank fill/clean used about a third of the base station's tank...if that's the case then I would have to refill the base station's clean water tank every 3 days...considering I run my S7 daily and use the full 300ml on-board tank each day. Thanks!

    Can you please test it crossing over 18, 20 and 25cm barriers please? Considering it has an officially announced 20cm threshold.
    Also, will it ever get stuck while vacuuming extra deep carpet? My Neato D7 always did!
    Finally, can you please ask the manufacturer if there is a protection measure against it sucking water? If not, what needs to be fixed? My Neato died for good immediately after it sucked water from the shower area. That quick loss of investment hurts!

    If I wanted to have 2 robot vacuums cleaning a space to speed up cleaning time (each vacuum cleans different rooms) what happens when this vacuum crosses paths with another vacuum? If I did this, this conflict might occur in hallways the vacs share to travel to rooms and the halls are around 3 feet wide. In other words, what happens when this vac meets another vacuum in a hallway and going towards each other? Does it manoover around a moving object that is coming towards it?
