Magnet test 🧲 - what’s going on here? When they all mix the diamagnetism gets weaker? But if refined it comes back? 🧐
You can feel the diamagnetism in all the coins when you closely wave the magnet over them, but when you step it up to the slide test, you can see a major difference in how powerful the force is.
Discovered this the other night when reviewing “14 Ways to Catch a Counterfeit for Under $20” it’s a free digital bonus shipping with the Pocket Pingers. Thought this was interesting. No idea how it’s working.
If you’d like to get yourself a Pocket Pinger, click into the profile and follow the page. I’ll be posting the link in about 2-3 weeks.
Use at own risk: all the risks associated with pinching a coin in between your fingers and tapping it are present with the Pocket Pinger. Always compare a potential counterfeit with a known authentic.
A simple ping test really can save you from a counterfeit situation. Always use multiple testing methods. The more verifications the better.
Hope you’re all having a good day.
Questions/comments always welcome.

Try electric conductivity test or ultrasound test...
Some gold will also not ping very well but pass the magnet test
Hey, yeah, depends on the manufacturing, the alloy, and quality of the metal, etc. Some real Coins have cracks which don't allow the vibration to move through and create the sound
Magnets are great!
This got me confused again
