*A very happy Easter to everyone of you! Please let me know where you are in the world by leaving a comment with your worldly location. We're in the (currently) sunny UK* 😊 x I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. And though worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God. (Job 19:25-26) For now is Christ risen from the dead, the first fruits of them that sleep. (I Corinthians 15:20)
Hello Richard, in Bracknell Berkshire, just returned from playing the organ at church, played a few Messiah excerpts today, thank you both for your beautiful sounds. Happy Easter!
Thank you, Richard & Caroline. Beautiful performance! Queen Victoria, knowing her end was near, summoned a choir / orchestra to perform this Aria in front of her in Osborne House. She longed for resurrection to be reunited with her beloved Albert. Listened belatedly in Paris, FRANCE.
I know that my Redeemer liveth, personally, and wish you all a very Blessed Easter! This was wonderful and so beautiful - Caroline’s voice is so very lovely. Dreamy! Thank you for adding to this day’s meaning by singing and playing my favorite piece for Easter. Listening in Waxhaw, NorthCarolina.
Wow!! Glorious as ever Caroline! It brings back so many wonderful memories. Thank you both! 🎶 Wishing you all a very happy and blessed Easter from sunny Four Marks! 😎
Listening to the poster's gentle performance and Caroline's beautiful singing voice made me feel nostalgic, and the pain in my body was a little, but lessened. thank you so much. 😊
So beautiful; both of you! Belated blessed Easter to you two! Christ is risen; Christ is risen indeed!🙏🏾 I am in the USA; the midwest; in the state of Missouri; the city of Kansas City!
That is a wonderful aria. Caroline, your singing was divine as usual, and the organ accompaniment fabulous (as expected from Richard, of course). Beautiful! x
Happy Easter to the three of you! Well done Caroline particularly as you were still pregnant at the time. Beautiful to hear the aria so well sung. Oh! And by the way, the accompanist wasn’t bad either!!! Bravo the pair if you. A lovely thought for Easter Sunday.
Apart from the glory of the words and music, and Caroline's exquisite singing and Richard's masterly playing, I loved Richard's mouthing the text at one stage, and then Caroline's gorgeous soft smile at the ending cadence. Just so uplifting, the whole ensemble.
Such a beautiful version of this unique piece of music! Your videos are both wonderful and a huge inspiration for my work as an organist in Germany. Happy easter!
Hi Richard and Caroline, thanks for this stunning performance! A huge thanks to Caroline for putting in all the effort to do this during the pregnancy, tremendous dedication! Take care, John from Australia
Easter greetings from Santa Cruz, California! That is a VERY impressive interpretation of "I know that my Redeemer liveth" -- one of the best I've heard. I particularly appreciate the very tasteful minimal use of vibrato, the generous dynamics, and the slight ornamentation. Nice accompaniment too.
Happy Easter in late July 2021! What a TREASURE this was for me to find tonight...The treasured "pearl of great price": superb performance by you, Richard & Caroline. Thank you! From Reston, VA, USA
A BEAUTIFUL performance of one of my favorite Messiah arias. Happy Easter to both (or all 3) of you. Listening in awe from Littleton, Massachusetts USA. 😊
What a beautiful performance. Caroline's singing sounds so effortless, yet Hugo's presence must have made it a real challenge. Thank you for this lovely Easter treat! Best wishes from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
@@tomparsons6177 I've really enjoyed the videos and livestreams by Richard and Caroline. I'm getting inspired to try new pieces introduced by Richard, Graham Twist and Jerry Martin. How about you?
I have heart this piece on Easter, but not until now I have found time to write a comment. Very special aria for me: for my sixtieth birthday in 2019 I organised a concert in a small church nearby Zutphen (Netherlands) in Vierakker with the organist and director Klaas Stok and a soprano who sung for my wife Dido's Lament and for me My Redeemer Liveth.
Hello, I am sending the best greetings from Wrocław, Poland, currently a little bit snowy and crispy. Thank you thousands of time for your lovely channel. I live in the Convent of St. Elisabeth and I feel delighted when listening to your music. Warm greetings to everyone!
Stunning performance Caroline. Would like to hear you in the complete performance of the Messiah. Like your facial expressions Richard. Was Caroline recorded elsewhere & sound synchronised later in this video/ Happy Easter to all of you.
I'm not particularly a fan of the female voice (particularly warbling sops.) and really wasn't expecting to enjoy this at all so ignored it all week, but how wrong I was. Wow! What beautifully controlled vibrato (my normal pet hate) enunciation and phrasing - and all with a bump which must have hampered breathing terribly. Fantastic Caroline, simply beautiful. Thanks to you both, I'd love to hear more. (May have just been converted)
Oh wow y’all! This piece is beautifully executed! Caroline, you sing beautifully and I’m thinking how your baby will come out singing to God’s glory and perhaps playing the organ early on.
The music is sublime, but the lyrics are miraculous. The words come from the Book of Job, a magnificent prophetic utterance of the resurrection of the Messiah and all His saints written over 1000 years before the birth of Jesus Christ, our Messiah.
