  • How to install battery tender on motorcycle GSXR and charge. This one is a Suzuki GSXR 750. You need to remove the seat and run an external cord (included) with a SAE connection from the battery to some spot that is easily accessible on the motorcycle. If you get one of these small smart chargers they usually come with this cord. This way every time you want to put a trickle charger on you don't have to remove the main seat. Its easy to pop off the rear seat, and find the extension, and just plug it so no messing with the battery, and no tools needed.
    I purchased one from Canadian tire on sale, but I also found very similar ones on Amazon if you don't have a Canadian tire around. the Amazon one comes with the cord and will do the same thing. Actually its cheaper and I wish I would have found this one first.

    Amazon in the US amzn.to/3oJSRoc

    Do you have a link to the charger you used? Great video !

      Thanks very much for the great comment!! The charger I used was from Canadian Tire. I'm not sure if you are in Canada or the US. All you really need is one that has the eyelet adaptors. Here is a link on Amazon Canada amzn.to/3jRKHXj and here is a link for Amazon in the US amzn.to/3oJSRoc That one is pretty cheap and will do all kinds of batteries. If you do live in Canada you can check out Canadian tire, but these are about the same price that I paid. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks buddy :)

    Heeey man thank you.... I didn't know what that cable was for; my motorcycle does not start I have 10.76 volts. My question, do I need a battery?

    • @GarageKing
      @GarageKing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you battery is reading 10.76V with NOTHING ON, just the volt meter attached you may need a battery. I would trickle charge the battery for a full day, then load test it. You can buy a cheap load tester and they work great. If you don't have a load tester you can put the VOLT meter on and check how much the batter voltage works. See this vid on how to diagnose a no start and scan to 2:37

      If you attach the VOLT meter and try to start the bike and the battery drops down under 10 volts then I would say you need a battery. Hopefully I helped you and sorry for the late reply. You message did not come through right away.

    Negative terminal first is that correct? Thanks.

    • @GarageKing
      @GarageKing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey buddy, it doesn't really matter if you are installing the eye terminals are you are not adding any power or anything. If you are boosting that is different, but for this it doesn't really matter :)

    Hey bro i bought a gxsr a couple yrs back and it came with that adapter with those 2 circles (what you connected to the negative and positive) what exactly does that adapter/fuse do again?

    • @GarageKing
      @GarageKing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Brother thanks for the comment!!! The adaptor is used so you don't have to take the seat off to charge the bike. The 2 circles go on the battery and then you route it through the seat to that underside. This way when you want to charge your bike you just pop that rear 2nd seat off with the key (very easy) its way better than taking the main seat off. When I charge mine I pop the rear seat off, pull the cable, out and put the rear seat back on loosely (not clipped on) then I just leave the battery tender on. The purpose of the fuse is to protect the line in case there is a short somewhere. It also prevents if there is a surge from the charger if something goes wrong. Hope I answered your question!!! Happy Holidays :)

      Hey brother, its from Canadian Tire, here is the link www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/motomaster-eliminator-precision-series-4-1a-battery-charger-maintainer-0111968p.html I'm going to update the video description and put an Amazon link for something similar in case you are from the US and don't have canadian tire stores.
