Thanks for the helpful video! The white zip tie tip is great. I'm planning to install it on my MT-10, but the manual says to disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive. When reconnecting, it's the opposite: positive first, then negative.

Most batteries I have seen are negative first off and last on.. cars, bikes etc is in the same order as well.. for less risk of something to happen like sparks.

*Update* I've gotten comments lately from other creators, who are mostly frustrated that the video is getting more views then theres claiming that they either saw arcs/sparks when i was removing/adding to positive terminal....this is an absolute lie. There were no sparks or arcs during the duration of this process. The screw driver is chrome plated and the most everyone is seeing is reflecting from over head lights. The other thing some have mentioned is whether negative should have been done first. This is some what factual however this method worked fine for me that said please do which method you feel is most accurate as i am not nor have ever claimed to be a mechanic nor automotive professional.

Great job, simple and to the point. I'd just like to add that with limited space around the seat area I decided where to position the adapter first then pushed the connectors through as they are thinner. Also if you do drop the battery terminal bolts into the bike it can take ages to find them so either have some spares handy or better still just snip the connecting rings and pull apart slightly. You can then just undo the battery terminal bolts without taking them completely out and just push the connecting rings on and tighten up.

Great job. I always do a dry fit and finish before connecting to the terminals.

Question. On the instructions on the on the battery tender I bought, it says to connect the negative to the frame and not the negative terminal. Apparently there is a risk of the battery exploding if there is a spark. Your thoughts? Thanks

I've never heard of connecting the negative to the frame. I've don't this on 5 bikes without issue and never have had a battery explode on me.

Did you have to reset clock/settings on cluster when you did this?

I have a 07 yamaha fz6, I know the battery is more complex to get to than many other bikes, after I get access to it i'm assuming this is the same process i'd do?
Also wondering if there is a specific cable i should get for my bike, like if the cable needs to be longer or something, great content. I apologize if my questions don't make much sense, I'm going to use the excuse that i'm a female and a newish rider that wants to have easier access to the battery :)

Look for an extra tender cable. Should be found on Amazon just in case for under $20. As for the wiring sequence people have commented that it's safe to do positive first instead of negative. I did negative first in this video but go ahead and try positive first.
