The animated spiderman series is the best adaptation of spiderman i've ever seen...hobgoblin & green goblin episodes always were exciting...Mark Hamil's voice is the only voice is see representing him in movies & shows. Roderick Kingsley is my new alias lol damn shame they turned kingsley from a black man
I can’t tell if I really want Roderick Kingsley, Phil Urich, Donald Menken or Harry Osborn to be the the Hobgoblin. Roderick would be a start and then others before we get to Phil Urich who would then kill Daniel Kingsley (Roderick Kingsley’s brother) and then so on. I still feel like either Harry Osborn or Donald Menken would be a better choice since one is Norman Osborn’s son and the latter the personal assistant to the Osborn’s but I’d like the design Phil Urich’s Hobgoblin to be the inspiration from the mask to the flaming plasma sword to the wings on the back instead of using the standard Goblin glider. The Lunatic Scream would be nice too but they should save it for Urich’s character because if he were to join the MCU and become one of Peter friends who’d become his greatest enemy, it would be nice but have them start off as good friends in college and work before Phil’s descent into madness and his turn into the 4th Hobgoblin (Phil or Harry). Donald Menken though would be young like in Spectacular Spiderman, however- there’s so much to unpack to the character or rather, the identity and those who don it.

From what I see, hobgoblin is a better criminal to than green goblin. Obviously Osborn is more sick in the head and more of a threat to Peter than Kingsley. But hobgoblin seems to be able to get away with crime and murder easier lol.

Personally, I rather see someone else become the Hobgoblin, other than Ned Leeds or Harry Osbourne. I always wondered what would happened if they used the same man who murdered Ben Parker, and have him become The Hobgoblin. It would make a lot of sense if they used the Jason Macendale version of The Hobgoblin as a Main Antagonist for that very reason, all solely based upon Revenge.

In addition I suggest that, the HobGoblin should appear, in two (SPIDER-MAN) movies, and then later introduce the daughter of the HobGoblin. I imagine a scenario; In which the daughter, of the man who was the HobGoblin, she takes up the mantle, and later she gets possessed by the Carnage symbiote.

You’re thinking way too small. The Hobgoblin is a lot more menacing than fans give credit for. All he needs is a different plot or storyline to make him look a lot more like a real Villain. I can see Hobbie as a guy who’s hellbent on Revenge against Spidey for putting him in prison, as the same guy who murdered Ben Parker.
Fun fact: the voice actor behind hobgoblin in the original animated series was none other than the joker/luke Skywalker himself, MARK HAMILL
Mark Hamill really makes The Hobgoblin sound and behave like The Joker from Batman: The Animated Series.

I think that Harry Osborne Goblin should have been called the Hobgoblin. Even though that isn’t comic accurate, I think fans would allow it.
