@rpiian If I remember back to the dawn of time - when mountain bikes were ridden by men of steel - didn't Kona split from RM because of some spat? RM remained in Delta, BC and Kona moved to Ferndale, WA. Now, RM is owned by Procycle in Montreal so a merger doesn't seem very likely.
I'm sure someone with a better memory will set me straight.
My first RM was an elevated chain stay, naked aluminium RM Cirrus. There have been various Vertex's & Elements since then.

What about just measuring the bar height then measuring up the wall to make it level/square? Surely that's more accurate than eyeballing a square?
But we'd need a square to make sure we are measuring bar height straight up and down...
