So many good actors in this show, so many powerful performances.
I like the book in this one. In it she falls without a sound. The shock of disbelief and betrayal left her speechless.

Why does it have to be so difficult for them to understand
Yes, in the books this is the final chapter of Storm of Swords and it's HUGE. When Sansa is struggling not to fall, and Lysa is talking and shouting, and her lines are main plots of the whole story (here we discover that Petyr and Lysa are behind the war), and there's that guy (that was excluded from the show) behind singing maniacally, suddenly Petyr appears, and you can still read Sansa's thinking, even about one of her shoes that fell through the door, the "Only Cat" for finally Lysa fall through the door... It was a nice ending... However here the scene is kinda plain...
@@MortenLongbottom Bards really fulfill a lot of roles in medieval times huh? Marillion appeared in the show but eventually disappeared. It's puzzling why they cut off the fall guy and everyone just believed Sansa.

She's a phenomenal actress, Kate Dickie always delivers!
It's so unfortunate that the showrunners left out Lysa's backstory because in the show, she just looks like a batshit psycho, but her crazy was a result of years and years of misery and emotional anguish from her cold marriage to Jon Arryn, years of stillbirths and miscarriages, her unrequited love for Petyr, jealousy of her sister Cat, and the fact that her father forced her to abort her baby from Petyr.
The abortion substance (I can’t remember the name of it) used was rumored to be the cause of Lysa’s fertility issues later.
Dude you just blew my mind. I seriously wanna watch more into her backstory now

The way she dies is very Disney-esque, because so many Disney villains die by falling to prevent showing any blood/gore.
Except for Scar. He falls and then gets torn apart by hyenas.

I always felt Jon Arryn and/or his murder should have been shown. It was so important to the plot and the lack of it made the start of the show even more confusing to non-book readers. The characters kept talking about this guy that we didn't have a face to.

Nope. She's too ugly compared to the finest milf in the 7 kingdoms lady stark. Being sisters she should at least be a little pretty if not as fine. Poor casting IMHO.
So for all the unsullied out there, take a minute to wrap your head around Petyr Baelish's game. He caused the killing of Jon Arryn, starting the whole series basically from episode 1, made the Starks suspect the Lannisters (Lysa's letter to Catelyn), made Catelyn think Tyrion tried to kill Bran (whorehouse scene in episode 3), which in itself causes Tywin to start a war, and then finally he betrays Ned, starting the War of the Five Kings.
4 seasons later, he's lord of Harrenhal, lord paramount of the Riverlands, and now basically in control of the Vale since he was Lysa's husband. Add to that that he has the heiress to the North and the lord of the Vale with him, and you have one of the most powerful men in Westeros.

And to add insult to injury, in the scene where the letter about Jon Arryn's death reaches Winterfell, the background music used is part of Petyr's theme.
Sounds like a great character, can’t wait to see what they’ll do with him in the future!

Shes not supposed to be screaming according to the book, after littlefinger pushes her down the moon door. I liked that more. Shows the sudden agony after hearing the truth and it was just..perfect
When person is falling all for sudden he will scream for sure. It's instinct

It's so pitying and heartbreaking for Lysa, to give everything she has to Petyr, and to see with her own eyes how he just easily pushed her through the moon door... it's a long way down and all those emotions she felt while falling. Her son, knowing she would die..and Petyr.. Petyr pushed her. After everything..
Her story with Petyr is not that of a heartbroken girl, but that of an obsessive rapist who is so pathetically lacking in self awareness that she can't understand why the person she raped can't love her back.
I'm sure shes fine. We've seen characters come back from the craziest things in this show.
It's not heartbreaking at all, she's a disgusting, treacherous bitch who deserved that and much worse.
Her entire family got murdered because of her actions and she felt nothing for them. That one letter to Cat blaming the Lannisters, ultimately set the entire War of the Five Kings in motion, a war which she cowardly abstained from (even though she helped spark it), a war resulting in the loss of her whole family and yet all she cared about was her beloved "Petyr" (who's 100 times worse and more evil than she is).

She brought pain, ruin and death on her own family (each of whom are worth 100 of her) and didn't have a single shred of remorse. If she had a single shred of self-respect, she would've stood up for herself and told Petyr to go screw himself, from the get-go.

Littlefinger is actually the mastermind of almost every major event in GoT (probably only the Red Wedding had nothing to do with him for obvious reasons).

I really kind of pity Lysa. She was used by Littlefinger because he wanted the closest thing to Cat he could get, and she even knows that. She even acknowledges that he loves both Cat and Sansa, and neither of them loved or love him. She knows Sansa did not kiss Petyr, but the other way around.
She's not sane, but Petyr was a horrible person for how he used her and even made her think he loved her when all he had was an obsession with his sister.
Don't forget that Lysa raped Petyr first.

The acting here was amazing. The cast do such a great job making GoT as great as it is.
Her actress is brilliant. When she smiles before he shoves her, i could feel the joy of someone who lived so long unloved. Its like she finally had what she wanted, just for it to be ripped from her fingers.
Yeah, Kate Dickie was phenomenal. Makes me wish she had more screen time in this role, but the little she had is excellent.
This woman deserved an Emmy for her portrayal.

I don't know alot of people that laughed when Ned, Robb, Cat, Robert, and even Jeor Mormont, Kahl Drogo and the Stark wolves died.
But overall you're right, I laughed at the moondoorscene myself eventhough I knew it was gonna happen.
I like characters like "middlefinger" and Varys, but they can not be trusted. Yet I would prefer Petyr Bealish to rule the north over Bolton or Baratheon.

susie fromars Oh yeah totally. When I read the books, the death of Joffrey didn't only make my day but my entire week. And Jack Gleeson seems a very nice person in the interviews. He WAS an amazing and promising actor aswell, too bad he quits acting.
So much scarier in the books. The moon door is in a wall rather than the floor and she has Sansa right on the edge, her slipper actually falls down. Terrifying.

For some reason, I was (and still am) surprised by his tone of command when he interfered. I never pictured Petyr to commanding in such a direct way.
I love the fact that swearing to "All the Gods" is insignificant to Petyr.
This 'flight' scene was almost as good as the Purple Wedding scene of Joffrey 'choking while deriding' his uncle Tyrion. A level of justice worthy of their values and action.

Like, the last words you hear the love of your life say before he kills you is your sisters name! Come on. The manner in which he pushed her was so ridiculously awesome though!

That's one complain I really don't get. The "it's hard to keep up with the names of these characters". Yeah, if you only watch the seasons _once_.
But if you re-watch the seasons at least 2 or 3 times, you start to piece together who's who. That's how I learned (before I started reading the novels, of course).
Agree with you and plus her scream was in my opinion very cartoonish - made me laugh actually but in the books my jaw dropped.

What makes this kill personal is that in the books Lysa took her virginity by raping Littlefinger whilst he was too injured and too drunk to to stop her, whilst she raped him he also called her Cat thinking she was her sister. Even though he wished she was Cat at that moment Littlefinger always knew subconsciously deep down that it was Lysa’s doing.
Oof! That’s rough. Makes the scene a lot more… redeemable?

@Mickymauserius you know...the ending concept was cool....a boy with supernatural powers became the king... The liberator (Daenerys) became a tyrant....but the way they presented it was horrible. Everything was fine. They were just too lazy to write.

In the books, there are so many hints of Lysa killing Jon Arryn you feel infuriated by Catelyn not noticing them because she's too fucking singleminded about the Lannisters
