Your right, some techs do watch your videos This may help me in future. I am primarily a whirlpool tech but like Samsung and LG (except the LG fridge and you know why!) appliances and come across them occasionally. I like to see what is common failures in each one or what others have come across. Whirlpools are easy for me I see them 8 or more times a day. But what fails on a Samsung may be different (and I think less common) most of my purchased appliances are Samsung
If you have one of these. Always pull the back cover and check the wires going to the water pump. They break from vibration. Very common issue. It will disable the washer. Very simple fix.
Thanks! I have a few of these videos regarding diagnostic modes and error codes - they seem to be popular, because most videos have really bad shaky cams... I am not saying I do great, but at least you'll know how it works when you finish watching!
Question, I drop a paper towel between the drum and the washer wall can I still use it or will something happen to it. Thank you. hope to hear back from use.
My problem is the dc code. I’ve moved the clothes around but not added more clothes. Is there another solution? It doesn’t happen all the time but when it does it’s pretty Ann when you think your laundry is ready for the dryer and it’s not, 😭😭😭. A friend told me today she stopped her washer from going into dc mode by loading everything circular. Any suggestions from you would be great. Thank you. By the way I have the exact washer as your are demonstrating on. Thank you
Ben my washer just like this one in this video was dropped durning move, and not it won't spin out. The tub inside moves agressively for a few times like it wants to start to spin but then stops and goes back into rinse cycle by filling up with water again. And repeats this action but does never catch on the spin cycle. I sure you can tell me whats wrong and if it can be fixed easily.
@10:05 You probably don't have this machine anymore but any idea how I can get it to 00 when it's on Heavy Duty. Mine says 17 and press the No Spin to activate the drain pump and nothing happens.
this washer is no good…. anytime i press “rinse” it drains the water, goes to 10 to 9 min, then starts to add more water to the load again and then time goes back up to 15 min and starts over.
I have a wa45t3200aw/a4 with an 8C error. Do you know where the mems sensor on this machine is? I have the entire machine apart and can't seem to find it.
Well done. I was able to follow along and test. What I have is a drain motor that works intermittently. I tricked it into working while testing. I tried a load and no drain action. I left it in spin mode and decided to shop vac out the water from the end of the drain hose. Then the pump started working again. Is it time to replace the pump?
I have this exact same machine and did everything you said to do in the video and every watch cycle I put it through it spins like about 3 minutes due to spin cycle then it starts bouncing around and then it starts counting a higher number and it starts feeling with water how can I correct this
Hi Ben. I have thecsame washing machine as the one in this video. Mine is a 2014 with an error code UE or 4E. The load gets unbalanced through regular wash cycle and will not complete the spin cycle. Clothes are then left too wet for dryer. Towels and bedding seem to be most problematic. Just now I rebranded the items and set the machine to spin. I left the laundry room for a few moments and returned to a huge flood. Any idea how to fix my dilemma,?? Michelle Nichol
Thanks! Was getting a 3E error on my washer. Wasn’t spinning at all. Put it in to test mode and forced the spin. First time didn’t do anything except a slight movement but ran it a second time and it seemed to dislodge whatever the issue was and is now working. EDIT: after a few cycles it happened again and couldn’t get it going. Motor drum error. Unfortunately not worth fixing for the price involved
Hi Ben, We can't afford to get a repair guy right now and this washer is driving us nuts. Someone posted the same issue of over filling and coming out of the bottom. We don't have any codes due to a power outage that happened the same day the water started spilling out. Is this something we can fix ourselves? If so, what do we need to do?
When it turns on do valves immediately start and never stop even if cycle hasn't started, or cycle starts then over fills? It's either going to likely be pressure hose being damaged or unhooked, or bad water valve
Im currently getting the dc code myself on this same model. Ill be taking apart soon to hopefully find nut needs tightening. If it doesnt, can you suggest another cause for unbalance code?
12:30 are you saying this unit comes equipped with a water heating element to raise the water temperature if the home water heater delivering is not hot enough?
Thanks for this video. I have the same machine and am experiencing the 3E code. Using your video i discovered two things. In the quick test mode Spn the first time it would not go into spin. I tried the TS mode it spun for a few times and then beeped and stopped and i could not get out of that mode. I powered down and tried the spn test again and got a lot of growling and grinding but it got up to 80 RPM. I'm thinking clutch or motor. your suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again...
AEESOME video, many thanks!! We have a very very similar model, ours has the glass top door, but other than that, same. Our issue that we have is when we hit Start, it only beeps, like the door is open. I was able to do your tests and the door locked/unlocked without any issues. The only error code was 9E (x01) and someone in the comments stated voltage. The weird thing is that if we persist long enough, change the settings a few times over and over, it will eventually start. Again, we hit start on any setting and it just beeps, similar to the door being open. Any thoughts on what else to check, please let me know.
Hey Ben. Great video. I have this exact washer. Don't have any codes showing but the washer will spin and appear to be out of balance then start the cycle over. I've changed the suspension rods and it's still doing the same thing. Without a code I'm not sure what to check next. If it does finish a load the clothes seem wetter than they should be. Thanks for your information.
I just watched this video because I have the same make and model. Do guys just change the part that is defective or take it apart and repair it? Every video that I have seen says replace but that can be costly
Not sure if you (Bens Appliances and Junk) will see this since the video is old, but I have this exact same machine. Got a 3E error code and now the machine won't do anything when I try to start a cycle. I checked the error code in 'service mode' and confirmed 3E. When I try to do the Quick Spin Test in 'service mode', nothing at all happens. When I go into 'quick test mode' and spin the jog-dial to ANY test mode, I immediately get a 3E code. I cannot test ANYTHING because this error code appears before I can even start a drain pump test, a water valve test, or spin test. I know 3E can mean multiple things, but I feel that getting this code before starting any test in 'quick test mode' probably indicates a specific problem. PCB fault maybe?
3E is a motor error. It could be the motor, or something in that chain. A wire could be frayed causing the issue, and since the motor is "Bad" it can't do any other tests. Capacitor could also be an issue. Sadly its somewhat nebulous, but the washer thinks somethings off with the motor, so start there and just look through the component chain
@@bensappliancesandjunk Thank you for your reply! I was also thinking it could be a hall sensor issue. I have no idea how the control board logic was written, but my gut is telling me that the motor doesn't need to run for the drain pump test. But it would make sense that the control board wants to know the status of the motor before doing a drain pump test, to make sure it isn't spinning. But if the hall sensor is bad, the control board can't verify what is is doing, thus won't run the test. Same would apply to the water valve test. thoughts?
Help I have this same washer, since we have had it, it never puts enough water after weighing the clothes to clean them enough. Does not matter on the size of load. I am looking to see if there is a way to recalibrate it. Wish your video would have helped with this issue. Great video on learning everything else.
I have a Samsung top load washer model wa45h7200ap/a2 . It is roughly 8 years old. I am having a problem the initial start it does not weigh the clothes in the tub. It will fill the water to the top whether you have 10 pair of socks or 10 pair of jeans. Other then that the machine works great. I replaced the water level switch it not make a difference. I was wondering if you can help thanks.
I have error code nF. My washer is filling up with water wayyyy past the top of the washer drum and spilling out onto the floor from inside the washer. What should we do? or should we go get a new washer? thank you in advance.
i have the same problem with my samsung overfilling. The cold water valve stays open intermittently. I blew out the pressure sensor line and their was not blockage. i ordered a new pressure sensor and valve head assemble. Why would it work sometimes and not others? Can't afford to have a repair person fix it right now. What do you think is the problem?
Bens, very nice and helpful video. I have exact the same washer. Now I have nF error code. It leaks with all waters in the floor. Is it caused by bad valve? Where can I buy the parts? Thanks!
I can't do the quick test mode every time I push them three buttons the washing machine turns out and to test the spin test mode on my washing machine I have to hold the delay start and Eco Plus button and you said I was supposed to hold the pre-soak and delay at the same time so I want to know if I have to push something else on my washing machine I have the washing machine that has smart Care on it
I have the same washer just a little newer has a glass top but same button layout I am getting a code 4C which isn’t a code you had listed at all do you know what that would mean? Washer just keeps stopping with that code I have to continually start the washer back up to finish.

Hey, I have a Samsung Active, dual wash, Toploader model number, WA11M 8700GW error code 4C came up so replaced the water inlet valve. Now it drips water from detergent dispenser ( dispenser has been cleaned ) when machine is off 750 ml per 12 hours can u help..
Great video. I have Samsung wa48h7400aw/a2. It stopped draining so I ordered the drain pump. In the 2 days it took to get the pump, it stopped filling. I changed the pump and it still doesn't work so I changed the inlet valve and still, it won't fill. I was getting a 4c error and when I entered the test mode using this video, I got error JC-0E. Any idea? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Your software says 2A my washer shows 28. Does that mean it needs to be updated? Also my spin test my numbers are slower than yours when it is spinning.
Struggling with a nF code. I am getting plenty of water flow and the flow test you showed in this video worked in all modes. Any idea where I should go next?
@@adrianmunoz8159 Mine was somehow related to the springs that the barrel/drum ride on. Replaced them and a whole host of issues went away. That said, I'll never own another Samsung appliance again.
You'd need to get them from Samsung. Find your model# and see if you can find a SERVICE manual online or a Technicians manual (not the homeowners manual). They may vary slightly from model to model.
I have this exact same washer. I have a DC error code. I've changed the rods and checked the nut in the bottom of the tank. Also cleaned the shaft and bottom of the tank. It said it could to the hull sensor. Can you tell me how I could check this?
Any luck on this? I have the same washer, was getting dc and it would refill and spin again. I just changed the rods and checked the nut. The few loads I have done since changing the rods now doesn’t stop and throw the code. But it never got violently loud before and now it does and just raises the time and refills and spins again.
I have an error code E2. Drain pump not working. I got lucky last time as the black wire had torn from the drain pump and I was able to reconnect it. This time, the same thing happened but when I reconnected it, the drain pump stays on continually. Any help woudl be apperciated. Thank you!
Nice video ! Hey so my motor works drain pump works in test mode. Machine won’t drain on normal mode I took entire machine apart literally . Wiring looks good will a board reset make it work? And if so how do I reset it? Love your videos very very detailed! So I worked on it today and no codes pump works now one issue I have is when it rinses it becomes out of balance and it stops it with no code . If there was 9 mins left it restarts that section to 17 mins again over and over and over. Wonder if it’s due to not having the update of 2A mine says 28
@@xpan5694 opened up rods and inserted hard rubber to make them stiff in center of white plastic. And that sucks nf code water supply valve clogged maybe?
Samsung top loader washer. Looks like the exact same I terface in this video. Except mine has a glass top door. Symptom: not draining or spinning during spin cycle. Eat I did: checked the pump for conductivity with a multimeter and removed it to dee if it's clogged. Neither were the issue. Current error codes: nd nF d5 or dS (hard to tell which on the readout.) What are your thoughts?
So I get the nF code. Any idea how to fix this? Because when I wash my clothes on 'Nornal' it certainly fills up with a lot of water and does everything untill it needs to spin...once it gets to that point it just stops, gives me the nF error code and my clothes are all humid still😫please help meh. Side note. It gives me the same error when I put it on 'Spin', not sure if it needs water to only spin....but yeah
In spin mode, it spins for a while and becomes unbalanced. Once I pause and reareange laundry, it goes back to the beginning of the spin cycle. Is there a calibration function?
Great Video! thanks for all the help. My problem: washer is unbalanced and I need to replace some of the suspension rods. However, Samsung had a recall on this model a few years back. we could get a small refund, a replacement or a repair due to the lid/ top popping off during the spin cycle and causing injuries. We did the repair. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO take out THE 2 SCREW TYPE PIECES OF METAL THAT ARE HOLDING THE lid TOP TO THE BOTTOM OF THE WASHER? i dont even know what the piece of metal is called. Its not really a screw... kind of like a twisted letter J. thanks for any help!
Ello, um do you know what the problem could be if it starts to leak out the bottom once the drum is filled halfway with water there's no drain leaks and the water is leaking out the front it's the same model in this video... any ideas ? Thanks in advance.
I have had the same trouble twice, empty it and lay it over on its side or front, there is a small hose that has come loose from the drum port, they used a stupid spring type hose clamp. I’m waiting for it to happen again, then I will replace the clamp with a real one. If you do it this way, you will not even have to remove any screws.
DC is unbalanced load. Its detecting the machines' shifting too much in prep for spin and its failing out of spin mode. USUALLY that means there are too many clothes, clothes piled too high on one side or another, or the suspension rods are bad/going bad, and you need to replace them.
Try to spin the plate freely by hand when its not running. Is there any resistance from the plate? If it spins too freely, the plate may have stripped against the spline/gear of the washer, so when there's tons of water/clothes, it just spins on the gear splines and never actually moves.
Hi, i have a problem with my washer. No code error when starting the cycle but nothing really start, juste the clic, Door locked, and then nothing happening. I try spin only, rinse and spin, samedi result. Any idea of the problem whst coule be? Tks modèle samsung 2010. W218ANW XAC 01

Not an error code it is unit’s version
Your software says 2A my washer shows 28. Does that mean it needs to be updated? Also my spin test my numbers are slower than yours when it is spinning.
I have
top load washer and saw 4c error code on the display panel, what does that mean? can you help?
Struggling with a nF code. I am getting plenty of water flow and the flow test you showed in this video worked in all modes.
Any idea where I should go next?
Pressure switch/pressure hose may have an issue making the unit think its not filling when it is
@@bensappliancesandjunk Alright. I’ll look into that. Thanks!
Having the same issue did you find any fix to this ?
@@adrianmunoz8159 Mine was somehow related to the springs that the barrel/drum ride on. Replaced them and a whole host of issues went away.
That said, I'll never own another Samsung appliance again.
Is it possible to get the test procedures in written form? Where do I get them. I have the newer machine.
How do you calibrate this model?
My machine model # is WA40A3005AW
No delay/end button
I got an nf code. I replaced the water inlet valve and I am still getting the nf code, what else could I check?
Every time I use the machine will stop last 12 minutes
I see code 8E any idea
I have exact the same washer and error code. I changed 4 rods and fixed my problem. That is about three years ago. Now I have nF code.
@@xpan5694 opened up rods and inserted hard rubber to make them stiff in center of white plastic. And that sucks nf code water supply valve clogged maybe?

Hello I get a code of 9E on quick test mode and it won’t spin or do anything. Help what does it mean
Is it normal for it to fill up about 4 or 5 inches from the top with water on quick wash?
When I looked under mine the belt had came off . Is it easy to put back on and why would it come off and still be in tact ?
I have a question, my samsung washer and dryer doesnt show the timer clearly, what should I do?
Does it operate but very dim?
What about a 4c error I think it’s water supply issues any suggestions?
Have this same washer and getting an 3E error code which says a hall sensor. But can’t find any video on how to replace it.
Thanks
Samsung top loader washer. Looks like the exact same I terface in this video. Except mine has a glass top door.
Symptom: not draining or spinning during spin cycle.
Eat I did: checked the pump for conductivity with a multimeter and removed it to dee if it's clogged. Neither were the issue.
Current error codes:
nd
nF
d5 or dS (hard to tell which on the readout.)
What are your thoughts?
Sir I have the same washer in the video and my washer will not go past washing mode. Can you please help.
Any idea what code 9E is for? Thanks
I have the same issue did you find a fix ?
@@adrianmunoz8159 No unfortunately, went and bought a new and different one
Thanks for the video it sure helped.
Glad it helped
Thanks, helped me a lot.
Glad it helped! I hope you were able to solve your issues!
Yup, just needed to drain a full tub. Thanks
I have a d5 and Fl code on my washer please tell me what that might be
THX for this vid.
i have this same exact washing machine and it gives me the "dc" error code and doesn't finish the cycle/spin. any ideas on how to fix it? thanks(:
DC is unbalanced load. Its detecting the machines' shifting too much in prep for spin and its failing out of spin mode. USUALLY that means there are too many clothes, clothes piled too high on one side or another, or the suspension rods are bad/going bad, and you need to replace them.
Is there a tech sheet inside or do you have to subscribe to Samsung Tech Support?
Hey I have this same washer and the Code that it is reading is NF what could that mean
I have the same model and it agitates fine until the load is wet and may be heavy. Is there a sensor or something to replace?
Try to spin the plate freely by hand when its not running. Is there any resistance from the plate? If it spins too freely, the plate may have stripped against the spline/gear of the washer, so when there's tons of water/clothes, it just spins on the gear splines and never actually moves.
Ben why would water keep running into washer even if you turn power off. The only way to stop water is too turn water supply valves off.?
Great job
Thanks!
Is C6 an error code for the WA45T3200AW
We have a 3E error code that always comes up. Thoughts on what we should do?
Did you get answer on this?

Hi please help.
I've gone through this video 3 times and im still having trouble, my washer washes and drains but leaves about a quarter of water in and does not drain the rest.
In this video where u said to press the spin function mine actually didn't go through that stage, it did on the temp and the soil level one though.
