@@bkcurtin2621 Funny story. About a month ago, I had a guy bring in this EXACT washer to my store. Complaint was it'd try to start spinning up, then died. Do you know what’s the problem? I am using Samsam washing machine
During the spin cycle mine will spin up for a couple seconds and then stop. It then just sits there stalled out. Drain works fine at the beginning of the cycle and empties the tub. On the diagnostics, all lights are red and the Hot LED is flashing. Model WA40J3000AW/A2. Capacitor wires look good and no bubbling. Lever arm and cable look good. What do you think? Same sensor issue?
I have the same issue and we barely bought the damn thing. It washed normal the first few times but now the water empties but it doesn't spin the water out. It just stops.
I have the same problem turn on door locks clicks but water does not fill then clicks then it starts to drain but no water in machine I Eaed the ts but still no water coming in help leader tks , and warranty is over.
Your video inspired me to look underneath my washer. As soon as I tipped it over, I found the blue wire going to the capacitor had been clipped. I reconnected the wire and my washer was fixed. Thanks so much for this thorough video.
Awesome! These things are notorious for having a wire shredded either on the capacitor or the TMR sensor. The one we did this video on had this ULTRA SMALL wire (like a 22awg) that was ripped out from the TMR sensor. To replace the TMR sensor, you had to buy a new friggin' shift assembly @ $150. We spliced the wire back in for 50 cents after some DIY-ing and it worked like a million dollars again. They should re-enforce the wires way better than what they do.
@@bensappliancesandjunk thats crazy Ben.. they kno what they're doing... they make certain parts that way, so "THEY" can make even more money, by charging outrageous prices for something so easy to fix
Mine wouldn’t go into the spin cycle properly, but it would also disregard my selection of small/medium/large load and go directly to extra large. Then it wouldn’t go through the spin cycle, it would freeze up during the washing cycle, and was an overall disaster. It has actually happened to me about 3 times in the last 4 months. I suspect that the vibrations eventually cause the wire to become so maleable that the wire eventually snaps. It’s quite a design flaw.
Now I’m getting a different error code. Cold is the only one blinking now. The machine stops mid-cycle and changes itself from medium to extra large load and continues washing. It’s the weirdest thing. Ever seen this before? It doesn’t matter the load size, it always stops, changes to Extra Large setting and fills itself to Extra Large level of water, and then carries on to washing for hours. It’s getting very annoying.
The code I got was Hot & Warm flashing. I checked the 3 things and all wires are connected. The spin cycle runs and then makes a sound like gears stripping. Can you help?
Hi Ben, Thank you for sharing the how to. I have a Samsung washer looks similar. My model is WA44A3205AW. The water inlet was changed because the water wasn't filling the machine. So what could be wrong with the machine?
Thanks for this video. The error code that I am getting is the Hot LED light blinking. Any suggestions as to what the problem may be and how I might fix it???
I've had this washer for a couple years now, and every so often I just want to toss it out. Its such a pain in the butt when it doesn't want to start, or drain water, or unlock the door. I've already had it serviced once, and to be honest, its probably just too smart for its own good. Meanwhile, my step father has a 30+ year old Washer that just won't die.
Its the old things that last longer, even automobiles. But, I am having the same exact problem, wont drain, but this began after 2 years of its purchase date.
@@carlenecascoe9650 Whirlpool, I believe, but usually it's the same machine and different brand name on top of it. I have no idea what the model number is, but it's from 1990 or so I think.
@@lwvmobile thank you so much, for the information! I purchased my Samsung washer just a little over a year ago, I am having problems with it already! I’m going to have to purchase another brand, I just can’t do without a washer!!
Great evening Ben, how are U? I have the exact washer U are working on. My statement is, my washer makes a humming noise not allowing the water to fill, the lights still come on and even the function of the buttons, but no water filling.
Hi Ben. Thanks for the video. My Self-clean has a heavy vibration problem when it is draining out water, that shuts down the machine. It then begins to beep and the lights begin flashing. Thank you in advance for your advice
This is exactly what is happening to mine. Mine flashes Hot and Warm which is an unbalanced drum. We had a guy come out and “fix” it and he only replaced a part on it. We try to balance the clothes we put in. Most of the time if we put something like a thick blanket it will not spin. What I’ve done is just put the washer into spin mode and it spins. This washer is a pretty faulty machine to be honest but atleast you do have a washer. Thanks for teaching me how to find out what is going on with my washer.
My opinion would be to maybe look at replacing all 4 matching suspension rods on this model. Not the cheapest, but these are very prone to flaws and breaking down quicker than other brands.
I have the hot and warm flashing lights. Unbalanced code. It doesn’t seem to matter what I put in there to wash and whether it’s SM, MED or LG load it still stops and sets off the code. Any advice on what it could be would be greatly appreciated!
Remove the lock assembly, cut all the wires, and discard the lock assembly. Strip the Green, White, and Red wires. Twist the green and white wires together, and leave them together. The washer thinks the lock is LOCKED when the Red wire is added into the Green and White twist ( all 3 twisted together ). You can't leave all 3 twisted together all the time because the washer also looks for it to UN-LOCK. Leaving all three twisted into the LOCKED configuration seems to activate the pump a few seconds after the power is turned on . So, only add the Red wire when the door is closed and you want to begin a wash cycle. Remove the Red wire from the twist, after the wash cycle finishes, and before turning on the POWER for the next wash cycle. Leave the Green and White wires twisted together all the time.
I appreciate you taking the time and sharing your wealth of knowledge. We had this washer for little over 6 months, and it is great aside from the main issue it does not auto correct an un balanced load (Which is everytime) when this happens it will automatically start to fill with water. We usually, more often than usual would manually redistribute the load until the clothes can spin dry enough to place in the dryer. It takes about 3 hrs. to do one load. My old school washer was set and forget it... I miss that. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!! Great video!! I just subscribed! Thanks very much!!
We've had the samsung wa45n3050aw/a4 for about 2.5 years with no issues on the machine until about a month ago. Suddenly the machine is knocking when attempting the spin cycle on the quick wash with low cold water, stopping, and giving the unbalanced load error code. We're able to limp through a load by pulling out wet laundry and redistributing within the basket, however we have been unable to process laundry as we had consistently for the previous 2+ years. There's been no significant change in the loads we're attempting to wash and I don't know why the machine would start being extra sensitive to unbalanced loads, or become unable to rebalance itself as I assume it has been doing up until now. I honestly don't even know where to start. Any guidance or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
@@Themetalscrunchie I use my neighbors machine similar to this but has a small screen and will display code UE for unbalanced load. The only thing I suspect that there *might* be a counterbalance system with weights that helps offset unbalanced loads and maybe that is not working? I dealing with UE right now with blankets. Just pulled two blankets out and praying for it to finish.
What luck! This is the same washer that I have and it has an issue that i couldnt find in the diagnostics. It stops mid-cycle and all of the lower lights go on with the extra-high light blinking. I know that there is something off with the water inlet valve because it will keep running into the tub even when nothing is going on. What would cause a diagnostic like the one I am getting? Yours is the first/only video that addresses my model. Feeling encouraged. Thanks, Mike
I have the “HOT” flashing only meaning there’s an issue with the door The washer fills up but doesn’t spin it drains right after filling up and the door locks and doesn’t look disformed please help what should I try next
very helpful video! Can you tell me how to calibrate this model? I keep finding instructions for a different samsung that involves pressing the delay button- but this model doesn't have that button so I'm stumped
I'm not finding any calibration option or secret button combo for this one either. Despite Samsung explaining it as an option for some models. I suspect it's just cheap trash that Samsung used as a money grab and didn't bother including this function.
Hi Ben! My washer looks almost the same, except it has a soil level selection. I've had mine probably a month now and I noticed it will spin, then stop and spin again, etc. My clothes feel too wet at the end of each cycle. Any suggestions?
Your load is probably becoming unbalanced during the wash and/or spin cycle. I usually stop the spin cycle and rearrange it and it works fine. I find it does more often if I'm washing heavier articles like blue jeans
Hey Ben, I wish you made house calls! Thanks for the great video and for sharing your knowledge with a bunch of us, that will never by a Samsung anything again!
Hey Ben I’ve got a washer that shares function with the Temp button with the * feature to hold for extra rinse so it’s not entering into diagnostics mode any suggestions?
I have this same machine. I start my load on small. It fills with water and starts the wash cycle after filling. It wash for about 3 minutes and then it starts filling up with water again, it not only fills up, it fills to a extra load.
I have this same model washer i think based in this video my issue is the door look switch, my question is if you have any idea on where can i find the whole top part that have the switch and holds the top lid and control panel ??? Because in my washer that whole part underneath is corroded and if i can find that part and is not that expensive i will rather buy it and not only the look switch, thank you for your time and this video which is very helpful
I only had the HOT light flash. The code guide you posted says it’s a problem with the door. But my machine works fine and there’s no issues with the door as it locks into place every time. The issue I’m having is that I’m only able to wash my clothes in hot water even when I select cold. It is hooked up right as it used to work perfectly fine. Any ideas as to what the issue is? 😥

I can’t get my codes to pop up. My washer looks a little different. Under the temp button it also says *extra rinse. Is there a different way to get the codes for mine? Everything else is exactly like this washer 3:03
I have a similar model, WA45N3050AW/A4 that is doing the same thing! can you help??? it's giving a hot and warm blinking led during the spin cycle, manual says to redistribute load and re press the start button however this does not fix the issue. it will not complete the spin cycle at all, when it begins to spin, the basket hits the sides of the washer in all directions and never fully starts spinning, after it stops trying, it stops, unlocks, and starts beeping and giving the flashing error lights again.
Mine does the same, seems to be off balance but after I move the laundry around and try to “spin only” it still will refill and then drain and spray rinse and never spins out the clothes.
Thanks for the video. I have a door lock issue. The lock does lock but the light on the panel does not light up. This is causing the water not to fill. Any suggestions?

If you change a part on a Samsung WA45N3050AW which looks just like that 1. I don't know if it's the same on the bottom though. Does it require recalibrating?
I would LOVE if you could figure out how to disable the chime on this exact model. According to the manual and Samsung, it's impossible on it. It's driving me and my family bonkers. Please help!
Mine is throwing the Hot & Warm code but even after I rearrange the load and it's loaded at 1/2 of the drum it still gives me the same error is there a way to recalibrate it?
How do you run calibration on this specific machine? All Samsung documentation shows models with a temp and time delay button. However this model does not have one and this is the one that I have.

I have a Samsung washing machine model WA40J3000AW; I was having problems with the "spin" cycle, but I found a broken wire in the white connector that comes from the clutch and it works fine for 2 weeks; Now when the spin cycle is about to begin, a noise is heard, which is heard if something in the clutch did not engage... like when a plastic gear slides over another... what do you think could be the fault?
I have this same washer, yesterday it was blinking LED Hot, the door is locking and unlocking fine. I’ve went through the test modes, the only things it would not do was dispense Hot water and with the spin cycle it just makes a humming sound, it did agitate for the motor test. After I went through the test mode, I checked to see if the error code was the same and now it shows no error code. But now when I try to just start it as a normal wash as if going to start fresh with a load of laundry, it dispenses no water and just hums. What do you think this could be? We thought maybe the actuator? Is the actuator and motor clutch the same on this washer?
How do you get the Samsung Tech manual. Can I buy one manual for my machine , or download it so I can diagnose the problem.. Please helphow to get the document please.. thks

@@CountSalazar I bought a new motor and clutch assembly and the issue remained. Ended up buying a new one.
@@csubroncs we ended up returning it and getting a whirlpool. Good thing we had barely bought it. No more Samsung appliances for us that's for sure.
I have the same problem turn on door locks clicks but water does not fill then clicks then it starts to drain but no water in machine I
Eaed the ts but still no water coming in help leader tks , and warranty is over.
Mines just sits and produces hmmn noise and not spinning. What should I do?
Hey Alberto.. what problem did the clipped blue wire make for you??
I got the same problem did you solved the problem?
I got the same problem@@elbeezaya9673

Hi Ben, Thank you for sharing the how to. I have a Samsung washer looks similar. My model is WA44A3205AW. The water inlet was changed because the water wasn't filling the machine. So what could be wrong with the machine?
Thanks for this video. The error code that I am getting is the Hot LED light blinking. Any suggestions as to what the problem may be and how I might fix it???
Same here I have the hot LED light. Where you able to fix?
That’s what I have it says the door issue but it does lock and the door doesn’t look disformed
It seems like no one replies or said that they fixed the problem mineis doing the same can't figure it out. Someone anyone please 🙏 help
Hi Ben, we appreciate your videos, I do have two codes blinking simultaneously which are HOT and WARM, any suggestions?
Thanks Jeff
I've had this washer for a couple years now, and every so often I just want to toss it out. Its such a pain in the butt when it doesn't want to start, or drain water, or unlock the door. I've already had it serviced once, and to be honest, its probably just too smart for its own good. Meanwhile, my step father has a 30+ year old Washer that just won't die.
Its the old things that last longer, even automobiles. But, I am having the same exact problem, wont drain, but this began after 2 years of its purchase date.
Same. Can't wait to set the thing on fire.
I would like to know what brand of washer, that your step fathers has???
@@carlenecascoe9650 Whirlpool, I believe, but usually it's the same machine and different brand name on top of it. I have no idea what the model number is, but it's from 1990 or so I think.

Same here Ben any help with this problem.
@@bensappliancesandjunk oh alright thank you for your opinion and I’ll look into it.
You may have to press power, start/pause and temp at the same time to get into diagnostic mode.
Thank you for that comment
Thank you!!!!
I have the hot and warm flashing lights. Unbalanced code. It doesn’t seem to matter what I put in there to wash and whether it’s SM, MED or LG load it still stops and sets off the code. Any advice on what it could be would be greatly appreciated!
Did you end up replacing it?
Is there anyway to bypass the lid lock? I have this model and get a Hot flashing led.
Leave the Green and White wires twisted together all the time.
that didn't work for me. any idea why? I followed instructions to the T
Same problem here, every time you put a load no matter how large or small. Really irritating.
Was really hoping their would be an answer in this comment for this issue
I'm having the same problem takes about 3 hrs to wash a load and the it keeps switching to load can anyone assist please
Thanks,
Mike
I have the “HOT” flashing only
meaning there’s an issue with the door
The washer fills up but doesn’t spin it drains right after filling up and the door locks and doesn’t look disformed please help what should I try next
I’m having this exact issue, with the draining and all. Did you find a solution? The door is definitely locking as well.
Do u fixed i have same problem hot flashing😢
very helpful video!

Good morning technical friend, I have a similar fault in a WA19J3000AW model in the diagnosis the hot led is the one that flashes, I appreciate your collaboration to correct this fault. Greetings from Venezuela
I can’t get my codes to pop up. My washer looks a little different. Under the temp button it also says *extra rinse. Is there a different way to get the codes for mine? Everything else is exactly like this washer 3:03
Great video. Any idea how to turn off the alarm sound on this same model?
After all is checks are done and every sensor checks out good to include the TMR sensor what do you think can be wrong when it still don't spin.
Same here my lock does lock but nothing happens after that

Wife hid that washer was broken for 3 days, scared to tell me. Lol watched this video for some pointers. It was a pair of underwear stuck in the drive. 😊 took it out, hooked her back up and it operates just fine. Wife was gonna spend 500 bucks on a new one. Regarding error codes, what does the tech book say HOT + DOOR LOCK flashing mean? My washer refuses to start and I get these blinking lights as soon as I select a wash mode and press Start/Pause

Same for me
How do you run calibration on this specific machine? All Samsung documentation shows models with a temp and time delay button. However this model does not have one and this is the one that I have.

I have a Samsung washing machine model WA40J3000AW; I was having problems with the "spin" cycle, but I found a broken wire in the white connector that comes from the clutch and it works fine for 2 weeks; Now when the spin cycle is about to begin, a noise is heard, which is heard if something in the clutch did not engage... like when a plastic gear slides over another... what do you think could be the fault?
Hello.
Thanks for sharing this video. Can you help. I did the diagnostic steps and the light for the hot water is the only one blinking. Thankyou
