Hey there family. I hope you like my video of this transmission drain and fill. Please know that you will have to purchase the bilitool listed in the description in order to perform the drain and fill. You will also need. 12 mm socket to remove the plastic cross member that covers the transmission pan. Hope you like!

This tranny takes about 9 qts of P oil. While doing this service you've better take an oil pan out and drain the rest of the oil from Torque Converter as well. There two filters are mounted on the bottom of an oil pan. I would replace the whole oil pan with filter and 10 bolts, torque converter bolt as well than refill it with oil. Than start the engine and wait untill tranny temperature merge with an engine temperature. Carefully shift through the gears back of forth for a couple of times so oil will spread through the system evenly. Switch to drizzle to check its quantity and close it. Finally it better to check with Consult sotfware to zero ATF deteoration level.

Thank you for the detailed explanation and tips! I'll have to try this on my next service!

Why didn't you replace the pan with the 2 filters inside it?

@@leshenits1929 thank you for your comment! Reading the manual for that transmission, the filter should be replaced IF it is used frequently for towing and/or you go off roading. I never tow with the vehicle and I didn’t drive it off road. Also, when I inspected the oil, it was very fake but not burnt. If it had a burnt smell, I would have dropped the pan. If you want to drop the pan, I would say do what you have to do. It is easy and not too hard. Just need the right tools and OEM fluid. I cannot stress enough that you need OEM fluid.

@@TrialByError_mostlyError Thanks for your reply. I've replaced such pans on my wife's BMW a couple of times. Even did a First Gen Titan the same with pan and filter replaced. Even did the tranny cooler delete from the radiator on that 05' Titan. Even installed an aux tranny cooler. Since I bought this 2023 Pro4X used with 34K miles, I called the dealer listed on the CarFax report. The report showed service done at 32K a few months ago. Dealer said they replaced fluid in the transfer and rear differential but not the transmission. So I think since I'll go the trouble of a drain/fill, I might as well put in a new pan/filter combo. Thanks for your help.
