FlySky FS-i6S Transmitter Throttle Spring Removal

- The FlySky FS-i6S is the newest transmitter from FlySky and it's about to hit the market. Although the FS-i6S is a nice transmitter, it has a spring loaded throttle that is useful for some aircraft or flying styles, but not for other. This short video will demonstrate how the spring can be removed from the throttle in the transmitter FlySky FS-i6S.

if you want the throttle stick to have a nice dampened feel to it, you can add a very thick grease, such as white lithium grease , just a dab between the friction plate and the point that pivots on it, you could even be fancy and cut a thin peice of felt the same shape as the plate and put it between the plate and the gimbal with a bit a grease on it, its a very easy and worth while finishing touch! have fun :)

You don t need to unscrew the part attached to the spring , the screw is for adjusting the spring tension .Just gently pull up the whole part (screw +plastic part+ spring ), when its free from the plastic rail let it go to the bottom of the case . From here you can detach easily the spring . Thanks for the video .

thanks... it helped... now flysky has started giving out the friction plate with this controller. Just one comment.... Its better to use a tweezer to remove spring and the other parts rather than the plier.
Thanks for the vid. Just an FYI, you don't actually need to remove the (long) screw for the spring. The plastic piece that attaches to the string is just held in place by the tension on the spring and the screw just sits in a hole (not threaded). Using a needle nose pliers, I was able to just lift it out without unscrewing the screw.
Where do I buy the dampening plate and the screws for the dampening plate. I am brand new to the hobby and don't have any of these parts around

Hello and thanks for asking. I´m glad I still have a sense of humour :D Well, the touch screen in this one is awesome and it offers great value for the price, however it comes short when it comes to model memory, the Devo 10 is better in that aspect, but I hate the interface of the Devo 10. Cheers.

Very nice video, thanks for sharing....however I have the FS-i6 tx, and was looking for the arm and spring holder to make mine a center return throttle for control of my boats....I don't suppose you would sell me the parts you took out?

Hi +Drones Visual, since you took the time to make this good instructional video, it might be more helpful to post a link to the new part(s). It is not quite helpful to say that 'you got the part out of another radio' when the purpose of the video is to convert to mode 2 throttle. I couldn't find the "friction plate" or "throttle plate" anywhere online. I contacted my distributor. I wonder where I will ever find it... :)

Why are there 2 antennas in this transmitter?
Hello and thanks for asking. They have been using two antennas for a while. One antennas is vertically polarized, while the other horizontally. Their tests may have shown them that this set-up gives better reception. Cheers.
Hola he recibido la FS i6s a través de Bangood y no trae ningún manual. Observo que el stick izquierdo no viene libre para navegar en el modo 2. Por favor me podrías ayudar?.
1.- donde podría encontrar el manual en español?.
2.- he visto como quitas el muelle en el stick izquierdo, pero esa placa metálica que colocas es imprescindible montarla?. Y para qué sirve?.

+Juan Maqueda Hola y gracias por comentar. El manual en espanol no existe todavía. Sin la placa metálica el stick izquierdo quedaría demasiado suelto. Es decir se moveria con demasiada facilidad de arriba abajo. Lo que la placa metálica hace es que crea cierta tensión, fijando el stick en su posición. Es posible que con un poco de tiempo hagá la traducción y un vidoe en espanol sobre esta emisora. Saludos.

This would be a nice mod if the friction plate could be easily located or made. I looked around and can't find one.

You dont need to do anything except tighten up the brake screw to prevent spring back.... Doh
