- Part 2 of the Flysky FS - i6S transmitter videos and in this video, the receiver that came with the transmlitter is installed in a quadcopter using the ibus connection and is bound to the Flysky FS - i6S transmitter and the switches and modes are set up in betaflight configurator as well as the throttle gimbal is released of the spring back by removing the back cover and removing the spring assembly and finally, taken out to the field and flown line of sight as well as fpv using the jjrc jjpro goggles and right away, we hit almost the 200 meters mark and has no problems.

Just Wow! That is amazing! Don't laugh too hard, I decided on this model TX to run my 1/16 tanks. The new firmware does more than 6 different vehicles so it is really a cost saver as well as the amazing range and flexibility. Thanks again for the walk through on what this cool radio will do!

Thanks Joe :) I really like it a lot and the price is amazing :) I also like the goggles a lot too but in the before I just used the fatshark goggles because of the dvr but now this one is just as good :)

Hello there I got the same controller as yours and I'm having difficultys with setting the switches up when I have horizon mode on it sends my motors crazy also dose it in acro mode on a switch, running the 10.9.0 Betaflight and having to run it all on s.bus can't find spectrum on my version of Betaflight I've tried 2 different receivers , fs-a8s & tunigy ia6c both do the same.
Any idea what it would be
does an esc work basically the same as a servo ( in that it takes a signal and interprets a position for a servo or a set current for an esc)? I guess the question is can an esc work on what would normally be a servo channel?

Trims are not necessary if you are flying in acro mode. If you are gonna fly it in angle mode then after calibrating the accelerometer in betaflight configurator, you can fine tune the trimming if it drifts.
Just a newbie question: I want to get in this hobby. I bought already the drone computer simulation software "lift off" from steam. This software is capable to use "real" remote controls (like yours) which are connected to the computer by using a "data link" cable. Means the data link cable "binds" the remote and the computer. The question is now: Is it possible to connect this remote control to the computer? Any idea?

First off, thank you very much for the videos. They are perfectly clear and easy to follow. I began a drone project from scratch with a Naze 32 Rev. 6 flight controller and the Fs-i6S transmitter with Fs-ia6b receiver. I came to the point in which, when connected to the pc and linked to Clean Flight, the drone has responded to Transmitter sticks movements. However, when I disconnect the drone from the PC and plug the battery to test...motors dont respond to Transmitter commands. When connected back to the PC and see Transmitter Tab, I can see the colored bars move according to corresponding stick movements, but unplugged, drone is not responding at all. What could be happening in your opinion? Thanks in advance for your kind support.
Have you made an arming switch to arm the motors? if so, try checking the minimum throttle value on the stick movement and compare with stick low threshold the threshold value needs to be higher.

When I click on the receiver section all the color bars are there then they disappear, leaving only faux 1 at 1375. What am I missing please help

That is the flight controller and not the transmitter.
Save your settings in beta Flight by typing in dump in the cli and copy and paste in a text file and go to setup tab and reset the fc and see if the receiver tab color bars are all there and if they are not then reset again until they are all there and then plug in all the values.
how do you elevon mix?
go to the settings and go to mix. turn it on and choose master and slave. channels 1 and 2. choose the values of the mix.
For mini quads, the IA6B isn't optimal because of the size and the antennas aren't removable as well. Recommend you check out the X6B which is a lot smaller and has ufl connectors for swapping antennas.

I had to install a dvr. it is one of those external ones and it is simple to attach.

How does the FS-i6S compare to the FS-i6X?

This is a 6 channel radio that I've updated to 10 channels in the part 1 video using the micro USB port on the radio and has a rounded design rather than the square design like the i6x or the i6.
The i6x is a 10 channel radio and I believe it also comes with the 10 channel receiver but as far as it looks, it only has a trainer port in case of an update and it is more work to connect to your USB port on your computer verses the micro USB port.
I've used the i6 and it is a great radio and it looks like the same as the i6x so it should feel the same in the hands and I've no complaints on the i6 ( the i6 has 20 model memory ).
I'm not sure how many model memory the i6x has.
The i6s now also comes in 10 channel version as well and the gimbal is already set as mode 2 so no need to open it up :)
Again, I'm not sure how many models the i6s with the 10 channels have but there is a micro receiver

It can be set on your radio so an unlimited amount of quads with unlimited receivers will bind to the one model set up on your radio :)

the vibrations could be from the pid tune.
I tried starting from zero settings and work its way up and still got those vibrations...it was a bad unit from the beginning with bad motors and I did check all of the fasteners but just cant get rid of em :(
If all else fails then you should try soft mounting your Wizard motors. It's been proven that combined with properly tuned PIDs you'll get practically no vibration issues with this trick.
