To cap off the year, I saved a special video review of my first pair from legendary bespoke shoemaker Mario Bemer.
Brother of the late Stefano Bemer, he created a unique amazing pair of Chukka Boots in Russian Calf for me, handpainted it and constructed it with a gorgeous Norwegian stitch.

Mario bemer shoes are amazing. Their craftsmen are amazing. I went from buying one pair to having 5 pairs of shoes from them 😅
You might be confusing Mario Bemer Ready To Wear (which is not involved with the real Mario) and actual Mario Bemer Bespoke. They are in a legal battle to clear the name. Unless you mean you have shoes by master Mario himself.
@@MisiuAcademy you are right. I didn't know they were in legal battle. I want to get some made through Mario Bemer himself. It's he only doing bespoke then? Also who has better shoes, Stephen Bemer cimpany or Mario?

There’s no definitive “best”. Probably if you are looking for perfection in detail Stefano Bemer because the master in the shop is Japanese and tremendously gifted.
@@MisiuAcademy I thought mario also had a Japanese craftsmen working for him that's really good... I don't necessarily have to have perfection as long as it's well made with its own touch and imperfections that give it own quality.... I'm just wondering if I got scammed into buying something that isn't as good of a product as Stephen or mario bemer product itself

I would have to ask to see if I made a mistake, but he hand dyed it anyways. Really excited every time I wear this pair. Makes me feel special!

Kostas, stunning shoes, you would do the same as me, let the mistro do as he wants and see the stunning results. Bespoke but made to measure? Interesting concept for hand made shoes. Are you in Italy to learn the art of crafting bespoke shoes?
I have a very easy foot do I did not ask for a custom last. Plus due to Covid it was impossible to meet and take physical measurements. By bespoke I mean same exact process and handmade quality. I am in Italy to become a bespoke shoemaker yes!

Wonderful looking pair. Any MTO recommendations for Japanese shoes? I enjoy how they seem to blend English understatement, Italian style and a splash of German precision.
A lot are pretty good, but expect to pay a lot. Fukuda and Hiro Yanagimachi are a couple!
@@MisiuAcademy agreed on the cost. I am looking for more of a true MTO as opposed to a bespoke houses that happened to offer an MTO option. Something along the lines of a Yeossal with Japanese styling.

Beautiful shoes. I could be completely wrong but, are you sure these are 100% handmade by him? Something about these shoes has really good Italian factory written all over it.
Hi Jonathan, Mario bemer makes only handmade shoes. He plans a small rtw line in the future that will be made by Italians. The Mario bemer store in Firenze that makes rtw is not affiliated with him anymore. The shoes are lasted, welted and soles sewn by hand. The upper stitching is done by machine as everybody does
where are those shoe trees from?
I am not sure, you can get such shoe trees anywhere for 30-40$ 🤷🏻♂️

I’m think about a custom 5 eyelet chukka boot, at the moment I’m stuck at 3 eyelets. What did you think about a pair with 5?
Hi, 5 will not look right. The maximum I would do is 4 and only if done right. You can check my passus Chukka review on the channel to get an idea.
