    Welcome to the Stefano Bemer Tradizione Review!
    Today I am reviewing one the best handmade ready to wear shoes in the world by Stefano Bemer from Italy. Specifically their RTW Collection called Tradizione which is completely handmade.
    These shoes will cost you around $2000-2400 USD depending on features or if they are Made To Order.
    I forgot to mention in the video that this is called the T6456 Model which sounds like a badass terminator name. For full disclosure I requested these shoes for a review, but did not receive them for free and ASKED to pay for them.

    I would also like to mention that after I shot my video, I realized I hadn't connected the microphone, so I had to reshoot it.
    In-between, I wore the shoes for the first time so between the close up, intro and conclusions you might notice some wear on the sole and creases. It is normal as I wore them for a few hours!

    Much respect for your honesty Kostas! Those little handmade imperfections exist in my Meccariello shoes also, but therein lies the charm. Stefano Bemer and Yohei Fukuda are both on my list for the near future...keep on making great videos.👍🏾

    The details on the paper that wrapped the shoes are lilies which is the symbol of Florence, the city of Stefano Bemer. Just a little touch, but it really makes you appreciate the legacy of the brand and of the shoes, and as an enthusiast I personally think all the links to a Shoemaker's history are amazing and definitely adds to the value of what would otherwise just be an item for functionality, the shoe. Great review, also covering the little issues that comes even in such luxurious products. Greetings from Italy, hope you can make some great memories with these shoes :)

    Kostas, I like you more and more as I watch your videos. I can't imagine buying a shoe like this - but I love quality shoes. I like the critical approach you bring and your experience shows through. No doubt Stefano Bemer is a quality maker, take nothing away: I have to say, the sole/bevelled waist etc looked very nice indeed. I may dream of shoes of this quality....My feet are wide (I'm a UK 10 G) it limits the last style I can realistically choose as I'm leaning towards a rounder, less chiselled last. Anyway, I ramble and bore....Thanks a lot for taking the time and conveying your passion for quality x Tony

    • @MisiuAcademy
      @MisiuAcademy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching Tony. At this level and pricing, you can customize the width of the lasts usually to accommodate your foot. But as you mentioned, the important part is that you see that this is a great shoe even though there was a more critical approach. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!

    Thanks for your review. Something that might be interesting to those, who are considering a purchase in this category and do not have that much experience yet. The shoes are marketed as RTW bespoke shoes, similar to the new Optimum range from Gaziano & Girling. Everybody knows, that quality varies from one maker to another and it is often discussed, how many fittings one maker does etc.. However, something that I thinks is overlooked is the fact, that the quality and finishing can vary massively from one country to another. British, French and Japanese bespoke shoes are in general of much higher quality than Italian bespoke shoes. I suggest that everybody, who wants to purchase bespoke shoes or "RTW/ MTO bespoke shoes" looks at makers from different countries and decides what level of quality he or she wants. I know the Stefano Bemer shoes and they are well made and I personally think the price is okay for what you get. However, their reference is Stefano Bemer bespoke and not G&G bespoke. If you want the best of what craftsmanship can produce, I suggest you look at British, Japanese and French makers. Do not be fooled by the term bespoke quality. There is no such thing as bespoke quality, it is just the individual interpretation of one maker.

    • @MisiuAcademy
      @MisiuAcademy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Anton, thanks for sharing. I don’t want to get into which country makes the best shoes, but maybe I should explain that by bespoke quality, I really mean their own bespoke quality, or simply a fully handmade shoe for a specific last. I personally love the true Italian school but if you see in the channel feature shoes from all over the world each with their own praise and criticism. In the end of the day, these are still fantastic shoes to have 🙏

      @@MisiuAcademy Thanks for your reply, my message was no critique. I just wanted to tell people, who do not have any experience but want to get into bespoke shoes or RTW bespoke shoes, that quality is very different from one maker to another and from my experience from one country to another. I think many makers use the term bespoke quality in a misleading way. It creates the impression of general quality standards that simply do not exist. I own a lot of bespoke shoes from different countries and makers and I think their is a difference in quality and this is the only messageI wanted to bring across. Before you buy, make sure you know what is out there. Don't get me wrong, I own a couple of bespoke Italian shoes but I can't say that any one of them comes close to my bespoke John Lobb Paris shoes or bespoke G&G's and if someone wants the best Stefano Bemer might not be the place to go. I heard a lot of makers complain about over critical customers. I wanted the people to know, there is a maker for you and your standards. When you know what quality a maker is delivering, than you do not need to complain.

    • @MisiuAcademy
      @MisiuAcademy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that is correct. Also no offense taken, my message is short since it is 3 am here. The term bespoke has been ruined just like the term handmade these days. However, to me bespoke quality does mean they use the same processes and techniques. I don’t know how good real bemer bespoke is, but I am also I’m not a need yet to get to that level since rtw fits me so well and easy. I appreciate you sharing your vast experience though! My goal is to tour all the major workshops and pick up my own skills when I learn shoemaking. I will have an interview soon with mr gaziano so I will make sure to ask him interesting questions.

    completely agree, they are great shoes but just speaking objectively, the fact that they were shipped with overwaxing and as you said marks on the insole automatically disqualifies them
    I've tried Bemer in-store, they simply do not fit me as well as Scafora for example, and I've found other makers to pay more attention to the final finishing
