I'm a tree worker and often my clients will invite me into their homes before or after the job. I've had to decline a few times because I didn't want to track mud into their homes. It will be nice to have a rugged pair of work boots that I can quickly slip off in scenarios like these. Just ordered, thank you!
I love seeing these craftsmen/craftswomen doing their thing. So satisfying. I bought my first pair of Nicks a couple weeks ago and was so impressed I bought a second pair which arrives next week. I wonder how soon I order my third pair. Incredible products.
These look amazing! I just placed my first order with Nicks and went with moc toe wedge boots for the wife and I. These just made the short list for a 2nd purchase.
I cannot wait for those babies to be on my feet! Always wanted a pair of my boots in one of these videos! Now it happened and I'm pumped! Thanks again Grant for all the help!
Beautifully crafted….. very robust and definitely a tough boot….was there any consideration in the ‘toughening’ of the elastic cuffs ? Thank you for sharing.
Love the thought of these. Only thing holding me back is the curse of skinny ankles, as there is no laces to pull tight the fit would be loose at best . My feet are a regular length and width but it's just the ankles . Wish there was an option to adjust the opening size
You might try out some cheap chelsea boots first as a test. Ive worn a few different styles of Chelseas and have never had a problem. My ankles are as small as they come. 🤷♂️
Two pair please and thank you. ¿When will you post this offering on your website? Nevermind … I see them now. So used to looking hiking boots I never thought to look at all of your offerings.

Could anyone please explain what type of construction method this is? How is the sole attached to the shaft?
So how do you they are the toughest, did you actually compared them with other brands, in your case with all brands, ir it is just because they are yours?
Awesome that Nick's are doing 'Chelsea Boots.' But almost criminally insane that there's no front pull tab. It's bad when dressy one's don't have but especially for a work boot not to have it is absolutely crazy. The cut out for elastic is (subjective) ugly The rectangular look is just bad. I feel Angling it off like it's done on RMs and Redbacks would look nicer. Otherwise very beautiful boot the height of the leather from heel up is Nice. But I feel the last should be flater for a good Chelsea boot.
Maybe they could make a loop in the front instead of cutting that excess piece off in the process? It could be an option just like cap toe or rough out leather.
I agree on both the shape of the elastic cut-out and the heel height. I’m looking to buy a Chelsea boot for my son’s birthday. He’s just over 6’ 5” so a large heel is silly. Maybe this Nick’s Chelsea is meant for short folks.
It would be more economical to buy refillable butane lighters than disposable lighters over the course of a year. Have you just not thought about it, or is there a specific reason you still use disposable lighters?
You glue the leather to the last but how do you later remove the last from the boot? I know everyone does that but I guess I've never thought to ask until now. This seems like a good place to ask lol.
They don't glue the leather to the last. The leather insole is tacked in place on the last with three nails that are removed when putting on the arch support.
How interesting, I’ve only ever seen you guys use glue but here you’re using double sided tape for the seams and connecting bits. Is this a new method you’re trying out? How do you like it vs the glue? Must be far less messy.
I would want whoever assembled this upper to be the one making my pair of boots. Lots of care and attention to detail, vs some of them who just rip through the stitching super fast. It doesn't affect the durability of the boot, but I really appreciate straight, neat, even stitching in the finished product. Nice work. 👍🏻
The leather is 8oz on its own and goodyear welts gather dust and grime in the boot that accelerates wear. I like both types enough to not care if a boot is goodyear welted or not.
i can't for the life of me understand how all the nails don't come out from the inside?? any one can explain that to me? the nails looks like half an inch at least, so they should be through and through?? also, when they stitch the sole, how do they keep it leakproof?
Hey there, the nails hit a piece of metal on the last which crimps the nails. Once the last is taken out of the boot any remaining nail heads are stamped down and a liner is placed over them. Not all of our boots are water resistant. If you are in need of something with more water resistance I would take a look at our 365 stitched boots which use a rubber midsole and no nails. I hope this helps!
Been hoping you'd drop a Chelsea but I gotta say for me I don't see the value 530 bucks for a set of crummies is too much wesco makes crummies for 200$
Though it is tough to make. I would never ever buy this kind of boot, and don't buy too. No lasting shoe the stretchable rubber which they put will turn a messy after some days... Lace shoe is far better than nothing
Cucitura laterale e fatta male. Troppo staccata dal bordo. Deve essere inserita un po' sotto la dima della forma. E poi tutti e due cuciture sono apparente. Possono essere tagliate camminando. Se poteva fare una prima di attaccare la suola.
Those chelsea boots are made with your round toe HNW last???...which appears on this video th-cam.com/video/QupxZJnESrI/w-d-xo.html ...on this video you explain its features...Wait your answer...Thanks...Greetings...
Solid material but bad construction, no goodyear welting and visible stitching throughout the sole, the stitching will fastly be damaged an the sole will take off.
The stitching on the underside of the boot is made to wear away, it has no effect on the structure of the boot. We don't use a welt construction as we have in the past hand welted our boots and found that the stitch-down method is faster stronger and easier for rebuild.
you lot are so gulible. when you have a dream that involves a god its just a dream about a god. if you cant tell the differnce between a dream and reality its why youre religious. can YOU actualy tell the differnce between whats imaginary and whats actual reality???

Perfection. No doubt a tried and tested design formula. Great work Nicks.

This looks like a substantially higher amount of stitch work compared to the other boot build videos. Thanks for all the content.
Game changer for us old folks, damn with them laces.. Good call for nick's for making these chelsea, just order a pair in veg tan. Got me excited!
I cannot wait for those babies to be on my feet! Always wanted a pair of my boots in one of these videos! Now it happened and I'm pumped! Thanks again Grant for all the help!
Can't wait for all the YT shoe/boot channel reviews of these bad boys!
These are one heck of a temptation.
Thank you for sharing this.
Cowboy boots next Nicks, come on now! Do it! We’re waiting! 😆
These are great . Congratulations on the new boot drop
I've been wearing Chelsea work boots for quite a number of years. They are tough yet forgiving on the feet of the wear
I would without a doubt buy a pair of this boot.
Awesome stitching work 💚
Nearly new boot day 💚💚
Beautifully crafted….. very robust and definitely a tough boot….was there any consideration in the ‘toughening’ of the elastic cuffs ? Thank you for sharing.
Amazing video brother
Phenomenal craftsmanship! Where can I get some of the hand tools you're using? I'd love to get my hands on a couple of them.
OBRA DE ARTE EN CALZADOS FELISITACIONES
Awesome work, very impressive.
what kind of glue was used to bond the pieces of leather together?
These are the perfect chelsea boots.
Great boot construction. I hope get one pair of nick´s in the future

Felicidades desde Panamá 🇵🇦
What a beautiful pair of boots
OUTSTANDING CRAFTSMANSHIP 😎👍✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
JUST BEAUTIFUL
Sheeesh I can't even afford these right but I'm definitely getting several pairs when I can, excellent craftmanship
Guys - you should make a 8” or 10” Chelsea.
Excelente, magnífic work 👊

Quedó una más alta que otra
I love the video so much
I thought Nicks was never going to make a Chelsea. Well, I guess that it is time to replace my officer order with these.
Nice looking pair of boots
I liked this shoe and I want someone similar to it
Hard work perfection
Is this suede leather water resistant?
think of getting your finger in thespinning knife. slice. ouch. btw is it just contact adhesive?
NICKS ❤️ ✌️ las mejores botas 👢 del mundo 🌎
Great looking boot
Damn, that could make a nice jodphur real quick. Swap the elastic for duel gussets and a quick strap or a slip buckle of some kind
So how do you they are the toughest, did you actually compared them with other brands, in your case with all brands, ir it is just because they are yours?
Outstanding!

Muito top essa bota gostei muito 👏👏👏👏
Not sure if I like the window for the gore squared off at the base. It would look better rounded.
It would be more economical to buy refillable butane lighters than disposable lighters over the course of a year. Have you just not thought about it, or is there a specific reason you still use disposable lighters?
The lighters cost literally nothing.
I’m sure that’s his own Bic lighter that also lights up his pipe after work. Bic lighters are the best.

Nice boots
I need one LoL😊
It would take 2 weeks to break them puppies in. Beautiful work, true craftsmen
why use a stitch down construction vs a Goodyear welt construction? wouldn't good year welt be much more sturdy?
The leather is 8oz on its own and goodyear welts gather dust and grime in the boot that accelerates wear. I like both types enough to not care if a boot is goodyear welted or not.
I would like to see the price included in th videos
That ending screams @TimTheTatman but the boot itself is a gorgeous creation.
Are y'all unionized?
I was wondering do you make size 13 and a half shoes and how much would they be?
We do, and there is no price difference for different sizes)
I would like to have a one-on-one class with you

@@nicksboots yes it does sir! thank you for the response
Can anyone confirm which leather this is in the video?
I’m guessing tan rough out
It's the tan max
Is that a heritage, work or custom Chelsea boot? Looks like a heritage boot with work leather.
I ordered max tan rough out with a vbar sole and heritage low heal
I was thinking about getting them in walnut rough out
Is that a Der rer duhhderr
I added a pair of Nicks Boots to My Bucket list
Best 🥇
Been hoping you'd drop a Chelsea but I gotta say for me I don't see the value 530 bucks for a set of crummies is too much wesco makes crummies for 200$
Gotta figure out my size and order a pair of these.
Quero uma
Bota destas
Now I want to eat apple pie.
Nice
Why the sewing threads are exposed on the sole? They will be torn in no time.
Love her tattoos.!
Why is the stiching exposed on the sole? Wouldn't that make it wear out very fast?
Been wondering the same thing.
All I can think of is, is that it doesn’t or they wouldn’t do it.
But I honestly don’t know.
regular tan or 1964 tan?
The stitching on the vamp shows a stiffness that looks like the regular max support
Chelsea with a 55 last?
cool
EL MOLDE ESTA MAL HECHO O NO ES PARA ESA HORMA.
Toughest Chelsea indeed. That looks like 8 oz leather. Is that a ladie's last? Sure looks narrow. Sigh, another pair of Nick's I need to have...
Me likey!
Upper stitcher must have been having an off day.
СУПЕР!!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
From Russia with love ✌️🇷🇺
Yeah okay warmonger
Great construction.
Top quality materials.
But i’s NEVER subject my feet to these torture devices!!! 🙅🏻♂️
High heeled, narrow toed - NO FCKING WAY.
Though it is tough to make. I would never ever buy this kind of boot, and don't buy too.
No lasting shoe the stretchable rubber which they put will turn a messy after some days...
Lace shoe is far better than nothing
Good chelsea boots should have pull tabs and a much wider elastic opening.
