Just my opinion: I can't stand all the shinny black plastic. It looks so cheap to me. Some other brands use even more, such an ugly trend for me. Mazda has none.
Nice redesign of an already really good luxury SUV. As a tall guy, I really dislike this trend toward putting a glass roof on everything. It eats a significant amount of headroom and there are a number of vehicles I no longer fit comfortably into, at 6'2, because of just that. They should at least allow an option to delete it for people who don't want it. Regardless, this new QX80 is not worth anywhere NEAR that amount of money, and neither is the competition. Just leave them all on the lot to rot until manufacturers come back to reality. No matter what gaslighting program they try to feed you, it's not inflation, it's outright greed.
While I am a true infiniti fan and owning 3 infiniti in the past and still holding on to my QX56 with 493K miles on it. I think the redesign is a few years too late. The design is nice they missed a few things compared to all others except the LX600. No electronic running boards, no wheel option (despite the updated styling on last gen wheels) No color interior options other than the red interior in Autograph. No long wheel base for larger families or those who want a longer version. The push shifter is a joke for the price of this one. Now the Klipsch speaker is a welcome update over the Bose for sure. The Panoramic roof doesn’t look smooth with the bar between the rows. I hope the new engine proves to be a reliable as the old V8 engine. Great review Alex.
Many people fail to realize this has been a low-key seller for Infiniti. When the current gen was new, it rivaled the regular wheelbase Escalade in sales. It's their #2 seller now in its dated form. It should do great to bring some life back into the brand. Much like Cadillac with the Escalade, they have the rare opportunity for their most expensive/flagship model to be one of their top sellers.
After seeing it in the wild, the Cadillac Escalade has nothing to worry about. And I’m talking about the current Escalade not the refresh coming out soon.
No long wheelbase no deal. It's the reason why i bought the new gen escalade esv in 2020 when i found out Toyota wasn't going to make the next gen lexus LX long wheelbase. Even with the extra length i still wish i had more for extra luggage space. If you're going to seat 7-8 you need luggage capacity to match.

The thing I like about Toyota/Lexus is that they're not only offering more sustainable, less is more, modern interiors that feels lighter, airier and current without all the "old school" opulence, but they're always striving for efficiency and reliability. In spite of all the modern tech, this kind of luxury just feels stuffy and a relic of the past to me. From the rear angle the space below the license plate looks very low. How are the tow and payload rating? With the stronger engine and lighter body it should be much better than the previous model.

It has a strong EV look. Surprised it's gas-powered. I think it's the first good-looking car Infiniti has released since the 2014 Q50 release. I don't know the demographics of infiniti buyers this day for new vehicles. Lexus and Acura picked up a lot of market share when Nissan decided they didn't care about making care anymore. This seems like a great used pickup or lease only. For everyone talking about a V8 not being there, why would it? Do you think Nissan is building a new ground-up V8 for this vehicle only? Emissions folks. You can't expect them to put the development into a new v8 with the low market share they have. Of course, the Escalade has one. GM has a ton of v8s they can recycle. Everyone keeps complaining about price. The dealerships will discount the vehicle so please relax. Most of you would never buy a Nissan/Infiniti product anyway. Stop complaining about things you don’t actually care about
If they didn't down grade the engine I'd pick this over an escalade
Apparently infinity/nissan want to follow in toyota's steps by overcomplicating their vehicles and ditching the most reliable engines they have.
That front end looks ridiculous
No 2-speed transfer case!!!!!!
So why should i buy it when i have ascalada as a better option?
Now lexus should relax. I know people mostly will not take these vehiccle off road but absence of some off road options gives impression that the car is not built for toughness and in regular driving it may not be so solid
Nice car but not sure it’s 112k nice😢
Amazing!
Thumbnaipic is just confusing with hyundai palisade!!!
