  • This is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-new 2025 Infiniti QX80 full-size, luxury body-on-frame SUV. We are in the Napa Valley with Infiniti driving the All-New 2025 Infiniti QX80 and boy does it ever look good. Our review drops 06/24 when the embargo on driving impressions lifts.
Gone is the V8, the new 2025 Infiniti QX80 is now powered by a 3.5L V6 with a 9-speed automatic transmission, 450 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. That’s an extra 50 horsepower and 103 lb-ft of torque compared to the outgoing model. Standard AWD in Canada. In the US, RWD and AWD models are available.
This 2025 Infiniti QX80 body-on-frame SUV can tow 8500 pounds and comes well equipped with dual 14.3” screens with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a 9” HVAC screen, head-up display, 3D around view monitor, a wireless charger, a 14-speaker Klipsch sound system, available 24-speaker which sounds amazing, a motion activated hands-free power tailgate, powered leather heated and ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel.
There’s a new electronic air suspension which is standard in Canada, available in the US. It can lower the vehicle by 2.8” when parked and when driving 1.2”. If you are in more rugged terrain, an off-road setting raises the suspension by 2.1”. The new dynamic digital suspension also standard in Canada will evaluate the road conditions to keep you as comfortable as possible. Pro Pilot Assist 1.1 is standard, 2.1 is available.
One of the most challenging things when driving a large vehicle is getting in and out of tight spots. Infiniti has you covered with a front wide view offering a near 180-degree forward view to help you navigate those blind corners and low visibility. The QX80 also has an invisible hood allowing you to see things you wouldn’t typically see.
The 2025 Infiniti QX80 is priced competitively. In Canada the Luxe starts at $104,995 CAD, Sensory $113,995 CAD and Autograph $124,995 CAD.
In the US, Pure RWD/AWD $82,450 USD/$85,550 USD, Luxe RWD/AWD $89,550 USD/$92,650 USD, Sensory $100,645 USD and Autograph $110,595 USD.

Not sure why they would make it significantly smaller than the Tahoe Yukon Escalade expedition navigator. Not even close to the xl suburban size. Otherwise I’d have one tommoro until than I’ll be stuck with transmissions made out of glass and frame rust within a year

Have owned several QX80s. Always loved them and Infiniti did an amazing job. It is gorgeous. Almost perfect. I have been asking for pano roof, high end sound system and massage seats and they gave us all. Except a good motor for a full size suv. Toyota and ford failed and full of issues putting a V6 into a full size. That V6 belongs in the QX60, QX55, Q60 and Q50. The QX80 needs a V8 twin turbo 4.4l or bigger. With no less than 600HP before mods.
That small v6 will fail. V6 are not made for full size suvs.

I love everything about this new QX80, except the push button shifter, its like they saw what Ford was doing with the Lincoln and said "Let's just copy them." when they could have gone with a normal shifter, or at least a dial. That would have been preferable over a push button.

Cadillac Buyers will not consider Japanese vehicles, but Infinity has better quality than Lincoln and is now on par with Lexus and that says a lot! Bro, at this time probably Hyundai Palisade is better than this new model Infinity in reliable. Infinity need improve more, only is appearance. For example the Grand Wagoneer with screen for all passengers, Lexus of course with its strong and reliables engines, Cadillac with the reputation of more years in the industry and Lincoln a beautiful inside design for drive and be relaxs. Infinity need do more than a new style(for example a reinforce roof similar to Volvo for safety) to attract. Actually nothing new to offer except the new design.

  • @kellingtonlink956
    @kellingtonlink956 7 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

First and foremost, I like it. Infiniti’s iconic big SUV definitely needed an update. In my opinion, it was never much of a looker - with it’s design language making it look a bit… frumpy, a bit… glumpy and a bit… overweight. A diet was imminently needed. This new generation looks brilliant, both inside and out. Refreshingly more balanced and aggressive. Downside? I expect that it will prematurely look dated and it doesn’t really share Infiniti’s Design philosophy… “Japanese concept of ma: designs that have a sense of minimalism, enriched with intricate elements that deliver warmth, stir emotions and forge a human connection.” Especially with the use of the word ‘minimalism’. I still like it, but… it would never replace a the mighty Range Rover, ever. ‘The best 4x4xFar’. Thanks for the video.

I also wouldn't be mad if they brought a new Q60 coupe based on the Z! This Interior is hands down better than what Acura & Lexus has been doing.

Looks pretty good for a 20yrs old model.Still think If they refined a bit the exterior and got rid of all those lumps would have looked much nicer. A bit of a niche vehicle considering it's out of many people's reach and whoever has that kind of $$ will probably look elsewhere considering Infiniti/Nissan's reputation.Very likely Lexus or maybe downsizing to an MDX/X7. I mean it has everything but the kitchen sink but don't think it would be enough to save Nissan/Infiniti from the hole they dug themselves into.

Enterprise gave me a previous gen while I was in Toronto a few weeks ago and honestly it was great! It doesn't feel as big as it looks behind the wheel and is quite manageable. Super comfy but you definitely do feel the weight. It doesn't soak up the bumps as well as other unibody SUVs but that's expected. I drove it to Niagara Falls and it was a pleasant road trip vehicle!

This vehicle is waaaay out of my league, but the issue with the piano black plastics that many brands use, gave me a thought. Can you not put some sort of matte finish overlay on those areas? Would the touch/haptic controls still work? Maybe someone already makes pre-cut overlays for various models, and if not, maybe someone should think of manufacturing such a product. I hate fingerprints/smudges, after having lived with glass tables for many years.

450 hp and 516 lb ft of torque. Wow, big power, almost as powerful as my Volvo. Only needs 5 more hp and 7 more lb ft of torque.
This Infiniti reminds me of those big fully optioned out pick up trucks, it’s a living room on wheels. One wonders how many of these will be bought because there’s frequently six or eight passengers or because you need to tow 8000 pounds? Or how many will be bought because the driver thinks it’s important to be seen driving it? It’s kinda like that good feeling a truck driver gets when he pulls into the truckstop in his Peterbilt instead of a lowly Navistar or Volvo.
In the meantime, let’s spend trillions promoting efficiency with electric vehicles so we can avoid burning gas. “Obnoxious” would be a good vanity tag.
Thoughts? C’mon, I must have pulled somebody’s chain?

Mind boggling about all the comments here about reliability?? This is a Japanese brand and they're all reliable to similar extents. Now if you're talking about German cars or Land Rover yes that's a problem! I'm on my third Infiniti and I've never had any issues and I keep my cars a long time. As for the twin turbo, it's been around for many years now. My 2018 Q50 red sport with the twin turbo, no issues 7 years now and I tend to drive it pretty hard. My wife still drives a 2012 Infiniti ex35...zero issues. If you don't like it because you don't think it's cool that's not a problem, but people bringing up reliability and then saying how much they love Land Rover (WORST reliability) and BMW, that's pretty silly.

It's all about the badge, same way lexus isn't a real luxury brand and doesn't quite compete with the german brands

Land Rover is arguably the most copied brand in terms of design in the world.

One thing I absolutely cannot get over - the privacy invading driver-facing camera and monitoring system. What a stupid idea.
