12:08 I've been a buyer/seller on eBay for 19 years. This advice that you dropped is worth its weight in gold. Some people want to just throw stuff up on eBay and make money without communicating with people. Some sellers actually get offended when you ask them to post a better picture or if you email them more than once because they didn't answer the first time. They have a *_"just give me your money and leave me alone"_* type of attitude. That is *not* how you make money on eBay. I could cover my bills with $1800 and go to the food pantry for my meals. It beats going to work. By the way, you did some good click-bait work with your thumbnail. Congrats on going viral.
YES! Exactly, sometimes you can get a feeling someone will be a problem should you transact with them. So that’s another reason that messages are good, however most people have only a small hesitation between them buying your listing or moving on
This has got to be one of the BEST motivational video on WSHTF, and you’ve got no choice but to hustle and sell whatever you can to make it. (I’m in the same boat myself). Good on you! Wishing you the best success as a reseller 🤩🤩🤩Subscribed!
Nice video! It shows how reselling can be exhilarating and fun, but that there is also a learning curve. Lots of ins and outs that need to be mastered. And a tip: Any time a buyer says they're going to leave negative feedback if you don't refund them, just tell them to ship the item back and report them to eBay. This is considered feedback extortion and is against eBay policies.
Yeah someone else told me that too and I was happy to find out. Yeah I have been selling on eBay for a while just not full time and not nearly the same volume, so it wasn’t as severe, just learning about new products I was unaware of.
I remember this exact feeling when I started full time 3 years ago after losing my job. Awesome to see! Reselling is the best addiction you can possibly have in my opinion. Keep crushing it!
@@Analog_money any time! Just to toss this your way as an idea, I mainly sell vintage and modern clothing. If you have a goodwill bins / clearance center near you it would definitely be worth checking out. Extremely low buy cost and high resale value for it. I sell mainly on eBay, but stuff in the 15-35 range I crush with on Depop. Might not be your thing if you don’t like clothes though. Best of luck!
I’ve tried clothes before and have sold some, I don’t know enough sought after brands because apparently the brands I like aren’t very profitable haha. I might do more in the future though! Thanks for the tips!
Dude don’t give up, what you are doing will grow organically. You are doing great. I’m a realtor in 2008 I started listing things on eBay. It got me through some hard times. One thing that helped was that I use to own a independent Porsche shop and had a bunch of New Old Small parts inventory, I also had a bicycle shop and had a couple of bikes that I had never sold. I listed the bikes on eBay, with no response. I took the bikes apartment and sold the parts individually gear sets, brakes, cranks… I sold everything I had. I sold a bunch of vintage motorcycle and car stickers… keep on selling you are doing awesome!
Good for you, man. Losing your job was a blessing in disguise. I've been selling online for 10 years now and there's no better job imo. I get to spend all day with my family and I love it.
I love the tip: sell what you’re not interested in or don’t want to own. I dabbled in trying to resell for a bit and it is definitely is a full time job if you want to do it well. Good video.
I been having my Ebay store for 4 years. This is a very honest video. I have slacked off this past year, but drafting a ton of sports cards last couple weeks. Great work, keep it up.
@Analog_money we actually are listing live now lol. I slept on it and got the urge with morning coffee. Thank you for the inspiration to get off my butt and hit hard again.
Awesome vid mate. Try finding a niche, I did what you are doing when i was made redundant during pandemic. I have niched to just clothing, shipping so easy, easy to store, no stress about breakages etc. Good luck going forward!
As someone who do a small side hustle by selling random stuff i find your channel interesting. Good luck with your journey, I am going to watch month 2.
I just started myself, very similar to your situation, but back in October. I know that’s Q4 (the most profitable time of year), but let me just say, hang in there man! Every month has been better and better for me. It all scales up the more your inventory and listings increase, so just keep grinding. It’s January now (Q1), and it’s slowed down a bit as expected, but it’s steady and I believe if I keep grinding and scaling up, so will the profits. Good luck man!
I literally just started a Superstar in 3 years series where I'm posting videos everyday til' then and your video coming to my feed is like a sign from the universe. Thank you for the inspiration. May we all be prosperous.
Thank you very much! Glad to hear it, one piece of advice I’d offer is focus on quality over quantity. Just try to make the best videos you can even if you only post 1 per year
New sub utube recommended your video. This video came in perfect timing I've been selling stuff on eBay for about a month now just things around our house we don't need is what I'm starting off with. This video gives me the confidence that I can do it and lets me know a couple of things I need to change I really do appreciate this video.❤❤❤
Man, I just randomly came across this video and liked your energy, so i stayed. I watched the whole thing without skipping, which is rare for me lol. But I just wanted to say your drive, motivation and refusal to be backed into a corner is inspiring! You earned my sub! Please never stop!
The 15k in inventory is huge. A lot of people don't get it but once it's paid off like that it's easy to run a sale and get some fast cash. I do it all the time. Keep investing and imagine that number in 10-15 years. Keep it real man. Props
I've been watching ebay reseller content for the past 3-4 years and I love this style of video. Your personality, tight editing, and humor make it. I'm looking forward to your next one!
Damn man, with that ending of “hope this video goes well”. I’m seeing this months later and views are crushing! Super impressive to hit those sales numbers month one and your strategy and hustle appears to be strong! I’ve been selling on eBay for close to 10 years and having the know how to manage a small store has gotten me through some tougher financial times. Very relatable video.
Take it from a guy who has been doing this for 12 years...invest in your own size boxes. I sold 1500 items in 2022 and having the perfect sized boxes and a label printer is ideal. Of course there are items that are bigger and you may have to customize them...but I am an expert at that with some tape and a cutter now. Just some cuts and folds of bigger boxes and wala there you go. I put this aside and been doing more part-time in 2023 (of course 2022 was also part-time with 40 hour desk job) but I am close to losing my job so this may become another near-full-time job moving forward. Stay postiive and positive things will happen.
I really liked your video, the fast pase, the honesty and the kind of (dark) humor you use laughing at misery. Keeping it real. You will be a pro in no time!
I love these kinds of videos. You got yourself a new subscriber. I love that you include the actual net profit not just gross revenue and you include sourcing your inventory as well what the items actually sell for, not their hypothetical value.
@@Analog_money ive been heavily studying it for a long time, sorry this is the same person but i commented on my fishing channel. I have been selling for 12ish years to help pay for school and studied what works best. Seems to be the 8-9 offer time frame, 930 auctions ending on Friday-Sunday, with Sunday being the BEST day, and also 5 minimum items per day. If you are overloaded and can do more than 5 good, but typically 5 a day is good enough. If you slip up on this so will the sales.
i genuinely feel like ive learned a good amount of what you've learned from just watching this video, and not actually doing any of that myself. thank you for this video
This is an amazing start. $1800 may not seem like a lot, but as a full time reseller I can tell you that in a few months you'll be doing $5k profit easy at this pace. Like you said, you have $13k in paid off inventory, and that just grows over time. Keep it up!
I hate flippers so god damn much on facebook, I accidentally listed something as 200 instead of 300 and I woke up to 80 FB messages of people wanting to buy it, fixed the price and not a single message in over 5 months.
Respect to you for taking the emotional blow of getting laid off & not missing a beat. It can be easy to get sidetracked, but you didn't, you were the adult and you made something happen, figuring it out as you went.
to the motivational wantrapaneur in his early 20s; you aren't going to make it flipping/dropshipping. Neither is this dude. He's just hoping enough of like minded zoomers as yourself watch his videos so he can actually make money with sponsorships and affiliate clicks.

This was a great video, I appreciate all the nitty gritty shots of how you packaged things custom, and your cost vs profits. Very honest and genuine, and great work ethic.
We all go through it man. watching your struggles brought me back so I know this comes from a place of truth... making custom boxes made me hate selling large items. Then there is cleaning things, dealing with disputes, and understanding what your lowest price needs to be to make a profit after shipping and fees. Definitely always honest and form relationships with buyers. It has led to larger sales. Now, I do still have my 9-5 but on average I make 20-30k annually for a side hustle, and finding deals is fun. Taking pictures and boxing stuff up....not so much. But, its definitely got me through some tough times when I've needed the extra scratch. Keep it up :)
For me, it started with finding tens of thousands of old sports cards. Sorting, organizing about a month ago, and now interested in flipping more items, and saw this video. What an inspirational video to do it. Keep crushing it!
Im proud of you irrespective of how much money you made ,,your still running your own business and as a man you’ve given me great hope ,Thank you my friend.
Keep grinding, you got this! You are just going through the same thing most resellers do in the beginning, figuring out your niche and the beginnings of a death pile. Hunting for deals is always more fun than listing, but you've gotten a taste of how that impacts the bottom line. Looking forward to month 3!
Great work! A little tip: With growing inventory, you need some kind of regulatory system, because nothing is more nervewrecking then searching for Items you just sold but cannot remember where you stored them. I recommend cheap shelves and Boxes with Numbers. Then when you list your Items put the number of the Box in there so you always know where your stuff is.
This is me too, except i do it after work. Keep it up guy. Making custom boxes is anxiety inducing when you sell a really large thing that needs to get shipped right away. This business is also a great way to solve a lingering hording issue. I love starting 99 cent auctions because getting rid of old shit in your house feels just as good as making money.
Blowing up real quick half a million views on my recommended 35.1k subs love to see the real stuff and not the fake shit! sorry you lost your job but looks like you just employed yourself. You clearly have the grind stick to it!!!!
Thank you for the support! Yeah to be clear, no need to be sorry, I wanted to go for it! I was more scared thinking I’d have to get another job and get back on that hamster wheel!
I'm happy to see someone put out the real behind the scene truth of how much of a hustle it really is to sell online and not just blow smoke like "how I sell 30k a week on eBay crap". Reselling is a constant grind. Keep hustling 👍
Thank you!! Yeah hopefully I will get to that point but i think it will be cool to have 20-30 videos of watching actually how I got there! (Another big reason I wanted to make this series)
I’ve taken a break from all other social media, probably should to YT also but if I did, I wouldn’t have seen this video. It feels like SO many people are only sharing perfectly curated videos with perfect stories and only wins. I found this video to be extremely authentic and genuine. You have a great attitude! I used to think successful people were smarter or had more money etc but my big takeaway from 2023 is that the biggest difference between people are the ones who just don’t and the ones who have excuses. Taking the time to drop off bottles for $17 when you could also afford to spend $500 on another investment is an incredible example of just do the thing and every single penny counts. Best of luck to you!
I love that dopamine hit when you get that ebay notification that something sold. I really enjoyed hunting for inventory, learning about values and selling. The worst part is the time it takes to actually list the items. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to quit my job and do it full time.. I used to day dream about your exact situation. I would think "maybe I will get laid off and it will force me to take the leap.." I was bringing home 2k/mo flipping on the side so I figured I could more than double that doing it full time... then I had a kid and priorities change and I stopped flipping.. Wild how life works.. "This will probably be my last video" - 180k views later. Keep going man! Great video!
What an awesome start to your first month of reselling. I've been reselling books, and then other media for almost 10 years. I remember the uncertainty of sending in my first box of books to Amazon, and being shocked when I actually sold some of them. I stuck to selling what I know about and enjoy, so props to starting out selling items you didn't know too much about.
Crazy how good this video is and I've flipped stuff my entire life. Even learned a thing or two (I've cut a 24" box down to 22", but never completely made custom sized boxes and it's never crossed my mind until I saw your video so thank you). Just a heads up.. don't forget to keep good business records of all of your expenses!
Great stuff man. I've been selling online for years and I get annoyed by content creators who do all the hustle culture, rise and grind, "buy my online course" etc. Stay real my bro and enjoy the yt ad revenue.
Back around 2000 my mom was working as a nurse for $30 an hour and the place the was working shut down. She decided to take a break and do eBay full time and ended up making more doing that than she was making with the nursing. Awesome job with the hustle sir!
Great job! I hope you are very proud of your achievements, most people cannot see that there are income streams everywhere. I have been a reseller for 24 years, love the life, work when I want to and I am past that scary place you talk about, where you worry if money will keep coming in. I hope you get past that feeling quickly because it is not a great mind set to be dealing with. I get very excited when I find something different to sell, you will always find treasures if you have an open mind, you are awesome!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that!
Looking forward to month two! BTW, you’re right about buyers who buy cheap, they always seem to be a pain in the backside lol
@exoticwater yeah! Better to stick to higher dollar items or lots if possible
Awesome!!!!! 🎉
WSHTF?
Nice video! It shows how reselling can be exhilarating and fun, but that there is also a learning curve. Lots of ins and outs that need to be mastered.
And a tip:
Any time a buyer says they're going to leave negative feedback if you don't refund them, just tell them to ship the item back and report them to eBay.
Great to hear you’re going strong! Thank you so much for your support!
Great to hear! And I appreciate your support, thank you!
Good for you, man. Losing your job was a blessing in disguise. I've been selling online for 10 years now and there's no better job imo. I get to spend all day with my family and I love it.
Thank you! Yeah it’s great so far!
I love the tip: sell what you’re not interested in or don’t want to own. I dabbled in trying to resell for a bit and it is definitely is a full time job if you want to do it well. Good video.
Thank you very much!
@Ben-kh4le dope dude, I just know in my head if I had any interest in keeping something i would certainly justify higher prices
Yeah maybe if I had a million sq. Ft. Warehouse and a million dollars to invest in inventory I’d take those margins.
@Ben-kh4le 3% margin on half a million in sales is only $15,000.
costco often does crazy markdowns to move product. i flipped about 15pr of size 9.5 and 10 adidas. paid $6, sold each for about $30 auction style
I been having my Ebay store for 4 years. This is a very honest video. I have slacked off this past year, but drafting a ton of sports cards last couple weeks. Great work, keep it up.
Thank you very much!
@Analog_money we actually are listing live now lol. I slept on it and got the urge with morning coffee. Thank you for the inspiration to get off my butt and hit hard again.
For sure! Glad to hear it!
Thank you!!
Got this video recommended on my front page. Absolutely love it please keep the series going!
Bro...hooked. You're already a legend. Great video.
how did he lose his job? where do i find free stuff to flip
Dude look anywhere people throw out tons of stuff
The editing is superb man, keep on going!!
Thank you very much I appreciate it
I just started myself, very similar to your situation, but back in October.
You've done a fantastic job on this video. Normally they get boring but this flows really well and I like the costs popping up on screen. Very good!
Thank you very much I appreciate that
I literally just started a Superstar in 3 years series where I'm posting videos everyday til' then and your video coming to my feed is like a sign from the universe. Thank you for the inspiration. May we all be prosperous.
Thank you very much! Glad to hear it, one piece of advice I’d offer is focus on quality over quantity. Just try to make the best videos you can even if you only post 1 per year
Great video can’t wait to see more!!! I clicked on and watched the entire video all the way through, great job!!!
Thank you very much!
This was one of the coolest videos I've seen pop up on the YT Recommended page in a while. Keep at it!
Thank you very much!
Man, I just randomly came across this video and liked your energy, so i stayed. I watched the whole thing without skipping, which is rare for me lol. But I just wanted to say your drive, motivation and refusal to be backed into a corner is inspiring!
You earned my sub! Please never stop!
Thank you very much!
The 15k in inventory is huge. A lot of people don't get it but once it's paid off like that it's easy to run a sale and get some fast cash. I do it all the time. Keep investing and imagine that number in 10-15 years. Keep it real man. Props
Great idea! Thank you so much for the advice and support!
Ebay won't exist in 15 years time. Jesus is coming back!
I noticed the bags on your eyes the more the video went on. Keep it up 16 years straight and you will look like me 😂
I've been watching ebay reseller content for the past 3-4 years and I love this style of video. Your personality, tight editing, and humor make it. I'm looking forward to your next one!
Thank you very much!
you are the most authentic reseller I have seen so far, really felt it when you had the dispute with the saw blade
Thank you I appreciate that!
@@tylerdane3805 thanks dude I really appreciate it, yeah the video got way bigger than I ever could have imagined that’s for sure
Best of luck to you. Thank you for putting this out there for everyone to see.
For sure, I have nothing to hide!
For the algorythem - Keep up the hustle, youve got this, just gotta keep on pushing, fail learn grow, fail, learn, grow. Just keep pushing.
Thank you I appreciate that!
I really liked your video, the fast pase, the honesty and the kind of (dark) humor you use laughing at misery. Keeping it real. You will be a pro in no time!
Thanks man I appreciate that
I love these kinds of videos. You got yourself a new subscriber. I love that you include the actual net profit not just gross revenue and you include sourcing your inventory as well what the items actually sell for, not their hypothetical value.
Thank you very much!
Keep grinding. eBay is a grind. Stay consistent and post 5-10 items a day for the algorithm. Send offers only arounmd 8-9pm on Friday or Sunday.
Woah that’s super smart, I always sent offers when ever they’re available.
I will definitely be implementing this though.
Awesome. It's really refreshing to see a genuine, realistic video of the reselling business. Please keep it up!
Thank you very much, I definitely wanted to be as upfront and honest as i possibly could !
Buying the scratches to try your luck was classic. We've all done that 😂
Cool video man. You did a great job. It was really entertaining - well done
i genuinely feel like ive learned a good amount of what you've learned from just watching this video, and not actually doing any of that myself. thank you for this video
Thank you very much!
This is an amazing start. $1800 may not seem like a lot, but as a full time reseller I can tell you that in a few months you'll be doing $5k profit easy at this pace. Like you said, you have $13k in paid off inventory, and that just grows over time. Keep it up!
Thanks man I hope so!
Plot twist, he got fired for stealing breakers and has entered his entrepreneur arch
0:34 definitely gave me encouragement to keep going, stealing circuit breakers from the neighbourhood's unguarded meter boxes.
Very very funny!
I hate flippers so god damn much on facebook, I accidentally listed something as 200 instead of 300 and I woke up to 80 FB messages of people wanting to buy it, fixed the price and not a single message in over 5 months.
Good For you man, so you didn’t sell your item in 5 months, That’ll teach us!
Respect to you for taking the emotional blow of getting laid off & not missing a beat. It can be easy to get sidetracked, but you didn't, you were the adult and you made something happen, figuring it out as you went.
Thank you I really appreciate it!
You’ve hit the algorithm for sure we’d all love to see the journey!
Thank you!!
to the motivational wantrapaneur in his early 20s; you aren't going to make it flipping/dropshipping. Neither is this dude. He's just hoping enough of like minded zoomers as yourself watch his videos so he can actually make money with sponsorships and affiliate clicks.
Kinda true, already doing it actually, but not zoomers my audience is like 30-50.
@@Analog_money Thats real cute. Come play in crypto with us big boys when you've made it
Lol you're a failed content creator mad that I didn't fail yet. Come play in Adsense with us big boys when you get one. Also nice job on faking four thumbs up instantly, if only you could do that with your own videos. I make adventure stories around making money, everyone knows it lmao. AND look at my channel name, I don't do crypto. Thank you!
@@Analog_money failed content creator? you mean the runescape videos i uploaded 15 years ago as a kid? Yeah that makes sense. It's obvious your jimmies have been rustled by the truth cause ya know, truth hurts lol. And it's obvious you don't do crypto, because youre focusing on this garbage instead, lmao....
@@some1intheworld lmao from the start I agreed with you? I do make more money off of content than reselling. Who cares?
I am completely cheering on this individual. You are an INSPIRATION to me.
Thank you very much I really appreciate that!
Video came on recommended, I’ve been waiting for a channel that makes quality videos like this!
Thank you very much!
This was a great video, I appreciate all the nitty gritty shots of how you packaged things custom, and your cost vs profits. Very honest and genuine, and great work ethic.
Thank you for the support, i appreciate it!
@@Analog_money 🥰
Thank you very much, will do!
The comment you made after 17:24 made me literally laugh out loud..... I'm in, Subscribed, and looking forward to Month 2.
It’s out now! Thank you!
Admire your willingness to learn and adapt ! This was the best motivational video for resellers to get off their couch and get to work !
Thank you very much!
For me, it started with finding tens of thousands of old sports cards. Sorting, organizing about a month ago, and now interested in flipping more items, and saw this video. What an inspirational video to do it. Keep crushing it!
Oh cool! That sounds like a fun project, thanks for watching!
Im proud of you irrespective of how much money you made ,,your still running your own business and as a man you’ve given me great hope ,Thank you my friend.
Thanks man I really appreciate that!
Keep grinding, you got this!
You are just going through the same thing most resellers do in the beginning, figuring out your niche and the beginnings of a death pile. Hunting for deals is always more fun than listing, but you've gotten a taste of how that impacts the bottom line.
Looking forward to month 3!
Haha thank you! I wouldn’t call it a death pile, I just pull 10 things to list every day from it!
Great start man! And your channel is taking off too. Let's get it!
You inspire me, the most positive thing on TH-cam all day.
Thank you glad to hear it!
You got me locked in I haven’t found a TH-camr that I enjoy in a while so keep grinding and definitely keep the videos coming
Thank you very much!
I'm in an unrelated field but was inspired by your drive. Keep it up man.
Thank you very much!
Haha yeah exactly everything I own is available for sale at this point! Thank you very much!
Dope. Very genuine video. Getting laid off could end being the best that ever happened to you. Keep these coming and never look back. Cheers.
Thank you very much!
I rarely sub to someone in the first video I’ve watched. This is so well done. Super hyped for the future.
This is one of the best reselling videos I’ve ever seen! Keep it up
Blowing up real quick half a million views on my recommended 35.1k subs love to see the real stuff and not the fake shit! sorry you lost your job but looks like you just employed yourself. You clearly have the grind stick to it!!!!
Thank you for the support! Yeah to be clear, no need to be sorry, I wanted to go for it! I was more scared thinking I’d have to get another job and get back on that hamster wheel!
Top-notch video, my friend. You got to the point, every second was filled with pertinent info, and you're entertaining without being a doofus.
Thank you I really appreciate that!
What a great, raw, genuine video!! Thanks for taking us along on your journey, hope you keep creating future videos! 🎉
Thank you very much!!
Thank you very much!
I love how genuine this video is! I wish you the best of luck in your reselling journey!
Thank you very much!
Yes agreed! And thank you very much!
Thank you I mostly stick to stuff that I know unless I have a good gut feeling about it then I give it a shot haha. Thanks for watching!
Thank you I really appreciate it! And yeah I definitely do
Finally some og yt content. Just dude recording what he does. Keep going man!
man, you're the boss. Glad your business is working out so well for you
Thanks for watching!
Can’t wait to see month two man. This is incredible!
Thank you very much!
bro really on everyones recommended, and deserved. dont stop man. great stuff.
Thank you very much!
Really enjoyed watching this -- I appreciate the straightforward and honest style!
Thank you very much!
Love your honesty with this. It's a challenge for sure. Keep on going.
Thank you! Will do!
Please make more videos and keep going in your journey, you're killing it. We're routing for ya
Thank you! Working on second one now, hopefully will be out end of next week
I hope you keep doing what you are doing. It’s very inspiring. I’m sure a lot of people won’t disagree and will follow your journey!!!
Great stuff man. I've been selling online for years and I get annoyed by content creators who do all the hustle culture, rise and grind, "buy my online course" etc. Stay real my bro and enjoy the yt ad revenue.
Thanks man I definitely will!
Back around 2000 my mom was working as a nurse for $30 an hour and the place the was working shut down. She decided to take a break and do eBay full time and ended up making more doing that than she was making with the nursing. Awesome job with the hustle sir!
That’s great to hear thank you for the support!
keep posting man, you’re crushing it
Thank you very much!
Exited to see where this goes. Good luck man!
Thank you for watching and the support! I don't know if im proud, I haven't even really processed anything because my life has changed so quickly haha
