New subscriber here just because of your comments about spending time with your family because what else is there in this world?? And I'm coming to you as a widow who lost her 42 year old husband 💔
Hello This video very interesting , I like the way you explain especially when you say I sell a" Tones of These " its giving a very positive and really wish to sell more and more, just would like to update here is this video record since 6 month back? and what I mean is the items you are selling in the video still on Trend ?and wanted ? I have some of those you mentioned and I will try to post them thanks anyway
I added massagers, eye glasses, sun glasses and curling irons to my inventory and they all seem well and can be found cheap. Found a real vintage 90’s pair of Versace sun glasses for 50 cents that sells between $150-300…they were sitting in a bin of eyewear at a local thrift store. Just started picking up massagers and sold two quick. Name brand Vacuum parts sell quick too. I started out selling VCRs and combo units, some of those go for $$$
Thank you for being so generous with your time & knowledge. I am taking notes & and I realize I need to watch this video more than once to really take it all in. TY 🙏🏾 Your advice on resale / family balance is invaluable. Looking forward to part 2.
I get a ton of great info from your videos so thanks a million for that! I don't know if you'd be interested in doing this but, I'd love to see how you pack and ship the large or awkward shaped items you ship. Thanks!
Im adding new categories all the time after watching your videos. Last week I sold a broken Canon camera for $35 because it was pink! And a non working Magnavox VCR/DVD player for $50. I never would of thought non working items sold so well!
I used to live where Jake lives now, and I can attest that having easy access to Deseret Industries is a huge advantage. There are a few scattered around SoCal, but we only have one here in San Diego county - about an hour from where I live. Goodwill is like decaf when you've had the good stuff. 😂
@@TheSteveBoyd Yeah, but unfortunately pricing is getting worse at some stores. At least they don't do the same thing Goodwill does by shipping everything off to a central warehouse to be sold online.
MY FAMILY IS WATCHING WITH A LOT OF INTEREST. I HAVE ALL THESE ITEMS AND MORE. They are not throwing away anymore. They go to garage sale, buy, and place in extra rooms and storage.
Of course you should do a part two! Thanks as always for your generosity of knowledge. Some successful people jealously guard their tricks & techniques, but to my mind that's an outdated way of thinking. Paying it forward is definitely the way to go. Good karma for you, man! I've taken your advice and expanded from coin store to "everything seller". Other than shipping going from super-easy to a huge pain in the butt, and the giant piles of stuff crowding me out of my little 300 sq ft beach bungalow, it's going pretty well! You've been a tremendous help. ☮
Awesome video! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!!! Thanks to you I am now sourcing the curling irons and other hair appliances and selling them easily. Only problem is that my competition has also been watching your videos and the good ones are harder to find lately. I would love for you to do a Part 2 Video!
Just wanted to say thank you, I remember you talking about hair curlers a while back. I was at a thrift store that did not really have much of anything and I decided to check out the hair curler section and found a babyliss .
First time I came across one of your videos, very informative so thank you! One thing I really would love to know is how you keep track of your inventory/sales/profits? I waste too much time trying to optimize anything I do on the computer that I'm doing the opposite of optimizing my time lol
Jride Flips, your authenticity, valuable contributions, and sincerity have earned you a new subscriber. Your videos provide immense benefit, and I plan to apply the insights to enhance my newly opened eBay store. Your dedication is commendable, and I look forward to your continued success. Best wishes.
Do you check everything to make sure it works and if so how? For example the remotes, seems like it would be hard to check if you don’t have a compatible device. I’d be afraid to sell something if I didn’t know if it was working. Thanks for the video. I appreciate your approach to help others 😊
I hope you feel better by now. Weird viruses, it takes forever to get over them! OK, as a woman, I admire your knowledge of electronic and mechanics, but I would never ever will be able to pick up those item b/c of no knowledge I even don't know what an amplifier is. I remember my then 16 years old son was accompanying me to Goodwill, and while I was picking my craft supplies, he picked up SOMETHING who knows what, for computers, I sold it same night for $120. Paid 10.
Loved this video, definitely need a Part 2, 3, 4, etc. Sorry to hear you are sick, get well soon. I took your advice and started looking at eyeglasses/sunglasses. This was a couple of months ago in another video of yours. A couple of days later, found 4, NWT, pairs of eyeglasses for $1.25 (Versace, Tura, Tiffany). Have sold 2 of them already for $100+. Thanks so much for the BOLO!
just discovered your channel. Great information. I was (am) a toy/game & holiday seller but decided I need a better return and faster turnover. Going to give your categories a try. Thank you.
I love this because we both sell very similar categories. Only thing i didnt really know about were the hair styling products. I wonder how you find boxes to ship bats though? Seems a bit annoying to ship. The tip about resetting wifi routers is genius though, didn’t know about that. Thanks!
I love digital camera! I recently found not 1, but FOUR Canon 180 sd's. One was new open box and sold the same day as listed for $330. I paid $3 each from a fb buy!
I cant stand people saying your the next hairy tornado.... yes you do remind me of the original hairy tornado. Back when he was a true reseller and actually had things to talk about that us fellow resellers can relate to. Now hes just a content creator and whatnot flipper.... dont change when you get big bro! You extremely informative and helpful even for us long time resellers!
I just want to say that I really appreciate your posts. Your delivery is calm and factual, and you're not selling anything. Some of these other accounts really grate on me. I thank you and wish you great success.
I found i over purchased a lot of items i don't use and your information is very helpful for a beginner like me. I look forward to see more of your videos and all.
Part 2 for sure!!!!! So this might be a dumb question but how do you find or where do you find the sell through rate on a product? Thanks so much for all the great intel!!! 👍
Not JRide, but it's just math. Take the # of that item sold vs the number listed. 100 currently listed, 75 sold = 75% sell through in that time period. 100% is the obviously most you can sell.
Thank you Jake for all your helpful knowledge that you share with us. Will be nice if you do a part 2. Hope you feel better, take care of yourself first. God bless you
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, this is great! I was a fan already on eye glasses. I just so happened to pickup that Medical massager a couple weeks ago to give it a try, so happy to see it in your video! I agree with you on being an everything seller. When something isn't selling something else is and I always found that it also helps you be continuously selling. Thanks again! Feel. better!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Would love a part 2. Question, as an everything seller how do you allot your time researching items? I feel I’d get lost down the rabbit hole.
I have put your information to use and it works. I bought a Sony CD remote for.50cents and it sold within a week for 39.99. I have many other examples all of which you covered in part one. Please make a Part 2 video. Preferably when you are feeling better. Thanks for all the info you graciously share!
This video is gold. Very informative. I'm just starting to play with selling. I sold my first item a few days ago within 2 days of listing it. It was fish food that was given to me lol. I'm excited to see how this goes 😊
WOW, simply, WOW. This is whybI keep watching you. All the information and no filler crap. Definitely take care if yourself and get better. Oh, yes, definitely a part 2. I am starting to get together some of my own things to start with plus some that isn't doing anything on Marketplace.
Nicely done video and loaded with great information! I hope you're feeling better by now! I think I'll always be an everything seller though I do gravitate toward things that can break 🤣Variety makes it more interesting and if you niche down and the demand for your item(s) drops, then what?
Thank you. I am a new subscriber and love your approach. For years I have been reselling larger hard goods in a booth and the labor is not sustainable. You give me hope for a new way to do things and yes please for a part two.😊
Figuring out how to box very diverse items is what concerns me. Seems like you have taken an opportunity to make good $$ filling a need because a lot of folks worry about the same thing as I do. Good advice. Thank you.
You literally just opened my eyes to hard goods... Thank you! PS im in Indiana now but was raised in Utah. Lived all over both utah valley and salt lake county. Great state for sourcing. Also lived in Seattle, WA, wich had a lot of luxery clothing in the thrift stores... Just moved to Indiana and I have not checked out my thrift stores yet. As I took a year off of eBay and Poshmark, (had a baby, then a death in the family, then bought our house here in Indiana and moved here from Florida... I will say, though, I'm glad to be out of Florida! Thanks for the video! And the transparency ❤
I have that Nikon Coolpix for listing photos because I don't like using my phone because of arthritis. It's a really good camera and molded so that I can take photos one handed if needed. If the camera is under 10 pixels, the batteries blew up inside or has a scratched lens I walk away when shopping.
I'm an everything seller, but the main part of my business is used clothing. My top 2 categories are men's jackets and men's jeans. I've sold over $28,000 in each category this year so far, which equates 25% of my total sales.
Appreciate your videos! Am at a low point in my reseller career and need some encouragement. You help to keep me motivated to do research and be prepared for thrift store runs!
Make a PART 2 please 🙏🏽 I'm starting to delve into clothes and found some callaway polos, untuckit, and reeltree stuff. All have high sell through rates
Hi Jake, Good Morning... I have always had the question when I watch your video's about the "Century Link" Modem/Router. In past videos, you say something along the lines of: " I always pick these up, they sell quick". And... I yell out loud: "What is that, You Never say what ^THAT^ is!" AND on this video you finally answered my question = Thank you. But my question now is: "When you say that you call them to ask for a reset, what do you mean?" Do they provide steps on how to do it, or does it happen "Over the Air". Thanks!!! Your videos are fantastic and I do learn stuff from every video I watch. Thanks again!
Hi, could you tell me what is the best app to use to check prices for resale? Also how to sett up ebay account. I am senior citizen trying to make some income that I need. Thank you, your video is very helpful.
Found you today. 22 items to sell on eBay. I hope you are feeling better by now. Awesome info, I took notes, lol. I was wondering how you find the model #s for remotes? I look forward to watching, and learning from all of your videos!
I found this video really informative. Please do a part 2. I have to do small items because I have mobility issues but I use to sell vintage kitchen items. Hope you feel better soon.
Thank you. I am just starting. Just listed my first item which was an electrified dog collar that Amazon sent me by mistake! Figure I can't mess up since I got it free.
Just stumbled across your channel, our “ thrift stores “ here in AZ charge a fortune for the stuff you say that you buy for $1-3 bucks. Ain’t happening out here
Great video. Yes we want a part two part three part four, your exactly right, my goal is to have more family time, and get rid of this 72-84 hour a week job. Thanks for all the great info
Thanks so much. Right now I have a ton of inventory with close to 100% sell through rate that just isn't moving. I don't know if it's the summer slowdown or what, but I'm getting nervous b/c I have at least $3000 in inventory I need to pay off. Suggestions? I started adding theme tags, etc. to ebay. May have to have a fire sale.
YES PLEASE PART 2!! Would love to hear more about hand held gaming devices. Like Nintendo Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP Handheld System - Silver and PSP. PLUS THE GAMES. APPRECIATE YOUR VIDEOS 😊
Thank you for sharing all the useful information 👍 Do you buy different sizes boxes for packing? Where do you buy them? Especially for those big bulky sizes items, such as golf clubs…
Great video! Question: regarding cameras, how do you check functionality? I imagine they don’t all have their batteries or if it’s rechargeable that they’re worn down. How do you go about checking thanks
I’m so happy and proud that I see most of your sales are Japanese brand! Massager, Camera, DVD, anything electronics. Oh by the way, the name of “zojirushi” “zo” means elephant and “jirushi” means marked. You see a little elephant on the side of the brand name!
I love your videos! But I’m wondering if some of us (me) just don’t have a knack for these items. I got to my thrift store when it opened and went straight to electronics. WOW! So they do actually have these items but you have to be there pronto! I picked up a new Sony DVD player, an iHome charging station and a chi air curling iron. 🎉 But here’s the thing - and maybe this will help some other newbies - the charging station didn’t have the plug in so its batteries or nothing. When I got the dvd player home and into the light, all the connection on the back are covered in corrosion. The curling iron I think will be ok, but the other 2 probably go to recycling. 🙄 Went to the other thrift store and found a kitchen aid blender (top half only). Now I can’t find the exact blender so I don’t know how to part it out. You make it look so easy!
New subscriber here just because of your comments about spending time with your family because what else is there in this world?? And I'm coming to you as a widow who lost her 42 year old husband 💔
Your transparency, energy, and attitude towards adverse situations is amazing. You’re teaching me to be a better seller and a better man thank you
Agreed! He’s the real deal!!
He seems to not only be good at what he does. But he seems to be a quality person, which is rather refreshing.
I would love to see a video of how you test the electronics
Especially the remotes!
Came to say the same thing!
I started out selling VCRs and combo units, some of those go for $$$
found a massager that goes for around 100$ the other day for $10, hasnt sold yet though
I have 2 people watching a pair of my personal kate spade eyewear, just listed few days ago
You are awesome! Thank you for taking time to make this video.
How can you be sure that the sunglasses are not knock offs?
Thank you for being so generous with your time & knowledge. I am taking notes & and I realize I need to watch this video more than once to really take it all in. TY 🙏🏾 Your advice on resale / family balance is invaluable.
Looking forward to part 2.
I love that you’re not trying to sell us anything . Just great content with real great information. Much love from Canada 🇨🇦 ❤
I get a ton of great info from your videos so thanks a million for that! I don't know if you'd be interested in doing this but, I'd love to see how you pack and ship the large or awkward shaped items you ship. Thanks!
Part two yes please! Thank you for consistently providing such extreme value, you're a national treasure!
Love your vids!! Simple, straight to the point. No annoying music, would love a part 2! Thank you!❤
Im adding new categories all the time after watching your videos. Last week I sold a broken Canon camera for $35 because it was pink! And a non working Magnavox VCR/DVD player for $50. I never would of thought non working items sold so well!
Always blows my mind the things you're able to find, and how often you find them. Great video, Jake.
Can you do a shipping video? Some of your items are really big or oddly shaped. I’m curious how you package them.
YES, YES, YES.
We want part 2 of this episode.
GET WELL SOON!
MY FAMILY IS WATCHING WITH A LOT OF INTEREST.
I HAVE ALL THESE ITEMS AND MORE.
They are not throwing away anymore.
They go to garage sale, buy, and place in extra rooms and storage.
Interesting how you did your solds by category this time. I haven't seen that before. Always useful! Let's see a part 2!
Hello. Love these videos. Thank you for taking time to show us these items. How do you test the remote controls?
Thank you for filming even while feeling bad. You are very appreciated.

Can I screen shot this to show all the too too bros who complain about space? Lol
Part 2 please! I'm a college student and I'm going to try and start selling to pay off school. Your videos have been super helpful, I took notes.
Anyone gonna tell him why the Hitachi wands are so popular? 😂
Better wipe them down
better have a buddy give it the sniff test.
😂😂😂😂😂
BAHAHA, this is the comment I was looking for
You think he doesn’t know?
A person really selling it and doing it not just talking about it! Good video dude!
Awesome video! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!!! Thanks to you I am now sourcing the curling irons and other hair appliances and selling them easily. I love cameras. I got that from you a while back, and I sell the pretty quick when I find them.
Loved this video, definitely need a Part 2, 3, 4, etc. Sorry to hear you are sick, get well soon. I took your advice and started looking at eyeglasses/sunglasses. Yes..please do a part 2...do you do "buy it now"? or Auctions?
I love this because we both sell very similar categories. Only thing i didnt really know about were the hair styling products. I wonder how you find boxes to ship bats though? Seems a bit annoying to ship. The tip about resetting wifi routers is genius though, didn’t know about that. Thanks!

Are you selling under bids or buy now? Thanks for all your information. Good stuff.
I found i over purchased a lot of items i don't use and your information is very helpful for a beginner like me. I look forward to see more of your videos and all.

@brickhauspicker ahhhhh geez, I was really over thinking it. Thanks so much 😊
Part 2 please after you get yourself better, take care of yourself man.
How do you package and ship the long items like bats and golf clubs?
Thank you Jake for all your helpful knowledge that you share with us. Will be nice if you do a part 2. Hope you feel better, take care of yourself first. God bless you
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, this is great! I was a fan already on eye glasses. I just so happened to pickup that Medical massager a couple weeks ago to give it a try, so happy to see it in your video!

Thanks again! Feel. better!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Would love a part 2.
Question, as an everything seller how do you allot your time researching items? I feel I’d get lost down the rabbit hole.
Part 2 🎉🎉🎉🎉 please. Get better soon ! Covid is brutal.
Absolutely love your positive and practical content. Thank you so much for making it!
How can I tell if the remote works without the TV it goes with?
I have put your information to use and it works. I bought a Sony CD remote for.50cents and it sold within a week for 39.99. I have many other examples all of which you covered in part one. How do you price the items? Auction or listed price? Also, do you have a lot of returns to deal with? Thanks for the great video!
WOW, simply, WOW. This is whybI keep watching you. All the information and no filler crap. Definitely take care if yourself and get better. Oh, yes, definitely a part 2. I am starting to get together some of my own things to start with plus some that isn't doing anything on Marketplace.
Thank you very much for your content. I have learned a lot, and more importantly, you've given me confidence to list more items. Thanks again.
Thank you for doing this even when you’re very sick, you’ve taught me more than anyone I have listened to.
Nicely done video and loaded with great information! I hope you're feeling better by now! I think I'll always be an everything seller though I do gravitate toward things that can break 🤣Variety makes it more interesting and if you niche down and the demand for your item(s) drops, then what?
Great video. Just came across a pair of Chanel sunglasses with very scratched lenses. Didn't realise they could be sold just for the frames.
Man, thank you for making this video. It was kind and generous of you to share what you sell like that. And while you were sick. Thank you, friend.
Thank you!

Hi. Am a new seller. Can you share what types of jeans sell well?
I look for and sell all of those 22 products but learned a lot about the brands I pass on for golf clubs and curling irons. Great video!
Appreciate your videos! Am at a low point in my reseller career and need some encouragement. You help to keep me motivated to do research and be prepared for thrift store runs!
Best wishes for you.
Make a PART 2 please 🙏🏽 I'm starting to delve into clothes and found some callaway polos, untuckit, and reeltree stuff. All have high sell through rates

Love your content! Where are you finding all the cameras!? I've only found about five in the last couple months. Great video!
Hi, could you tell me what is the best app to use to check prices for resale? Also how to sett up ebay account. I am senior citizen trying to make some income that I need. Thank you, your video is very helpful.

Just stumbled across your channel, our “ thrift stores “ here in AZ charge a fortune for the stuff you say that you buy for $1-3 bucks. Ain’t happening out here
You had me at "I have nothing to sell you, no courses and no memberships." Great video! Subscribed
Yes for a part two. Thank you for sharing your knowledge on all these items. Awesome video!
Could you do a video about selling golf clubs specifically? I am thinking of adding that into my inventory but know nothing about golf lol
Would love to see a package video on how you package some of your hard goods 😊 I am an everything seller, I like the rush
Hello. Thanks for the helpful info! Can you show how you package and ship these items? I hope that you feel better 😊
Hey thanks for the free knowledge! Started reselling 3 months ago at 21 . Videos help out alot . Thanks from los Angeles
Great video. Yes we want a part two part three part four, your exactly right, my goal is to have more family time, and get rid of this 72-84 hour a week job. Thanks for all the great info
You're wonderful! I sure hope you're feeling better. I'm a total beginner so I truly appreciate your videos. TY!
I love it!!! I was really only doing cards after putting shoes and other items getting way more traction. Thanks!!!
Found this video while I was home sick from work. Thanks for all the great info & get well soon!!
Great information! How do you clean golf clubs and bats? How do you ship them?
YES PLEASE PART 2!! Would love to hear more about hand held gaming devices. Like Nintendo Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP Handheld System - Silver and PSP. PLUS THE GAMES. APPRECIATE YOUR VIDEOS 😊
Awesome video man!
I'm trying to transition from pseudo-hoarder to reseller to justify my thrifting addiction and this is very helpful.
Really appreciate you sharing this information! No need to gate keep when inventory is already limited.
I’m so grateful TH-cam sent me your video as a suggestion! I love such informative and open resellers like myself. You have a new follow!
Thank you for sharing all the useful information 👍
Do you buy different sizes boxes for packing? Where do you buy them? Especially for those big bulky sizes items, such as golf clubs…
This is one of the absolute best eBay videos by far I’ve seen. Thank you!
Great video! Question: regarding cameras, how do you check functionality? I imagine they don’t all have their batteries or if it’s rechargeable that they’re worn down. How do you go about checking thanks
How do you know what the seven most fastest moving items in your thrift store is? Loved your video. Thank you very much great learning.!!
New subbie here, this was an EXCELLENT vid. Super informative to someone newly about to start. Thanks so much, I'd love a part 2! 🎉
Wow I’m truly amazed! I have so much of this in my own attic, garage and closets.
Great idea on the vacuums. I have acquired so many Dysons.
