Mahalo for your coverage. What a tragedy. It appears the pilot helped us all evade a much worse tragedy. 😢May God bless the departed souls and be with their loved ones. 🙏🏽🕊️
Accelerated stall. They most certainly were not aiming for an abandoned building. Sadly, the aircraft was not controllable. Took off many times out of HNL, the turn is to the right, and that was their clearance.
RIP.. 😢 😭 These boys are heroes as they knew their demise but they made sure to not cause more fatalities by steering the plane into a safer location. I’m sorry and prayers to their families. Your boys were raised well to be good people and such heroes. God bless and my condolences 🙏
@@SamWesting guess you missed the title of the video you are commenting on "DOT reports that pilot made a lot of adjustments to put the plane down somewhere safe". guess they didnt wait for the NTSB huh?
The DOT doesn’t know anything about aviation and should not have commented. Unfortunately, the pilots were out of control. Had they had control, a better outcome would have been very possible. Many condolences to their families.
Lots of talk about the skill of this Pilot. Thing is if the Pilot had any control of that Aircraft, it wouldn't have crashed. That Aircraft appeared to be in an accelerated stall, at which point where you hit is completely out of the Pilots control.
RIP to the victims. Unfortunately, the comments of the type “hero pilot saved the people on the ground by steering the plane away” are made by people without any understanding of the factors at play. A loss of control a priori precludes any possibility of being able to choose where to crash (however preposterous that sounds in the first place).
This is a complete lie. The flight data shows the pilot had absolutely no control of the plane immediately on take off and was just along for the ride. No adjustments were made to the flight path at all. As soon as it came off the ground it started banking left and continued that same left bank until it stalled and crashed. You forget people are able to look at the flight data immediately after a crash now to see what the plane actually did.
HI DOT should have never made comments like this early into the investigation. Very irresponsible and once again shows what a idocracy our HI Government is to the rest of the world.
@brayden8088 There's a handful of Russians on Oahu. My doc is Russian. They sell Russian piroscki but the Filipino worker bought the business. Had a Russian food truck but I don't see it anymore.
Russians can still leave their country and travel and immigrate to other countries, I live in Bali there are tens of thousands of Russians living here now.

🎯
Radio transmission from pilot said he had lost control. Your assessment is accurate.
RIP.. sorry for the ohanas involved..
The fact that these two pilots maneuvered a plane that has lost control away from any populated areas and fuel tanks makes them …heroes.
Once it got into that state there was no maneuvering left.
Just along for the ride.
@@TheBleuakuma Cessna Caravan is a single engine aircraft.
@@TheBleuakumaPretty tricky when you nay have one engine.

God rest their souls but they had no control, they didn’t steer away from anything.
Very noble thinking, but having flown airplanes for 50 years, I doubt they were thinking of anything more than saving their own life.
Wow, you're old.
😅
OK, next...
Howz about letting the NTSB & the other investigators do their study & write their report, before jumping to conclusions?
@@SamWesting guess you missed the title of the video you are commenting on "DOT reports that pilot made a lot of adjustments to put the plane down somewhere safe". guess they didnt wait for the NTSB huh?
Actually, they lost control of it and had no way of avoiding hitting anything.
My condolences to the families of the 2 victims 😢 I'm so very sorry for your loss 😢🎉🎉
Prayers to the Ohana’s involved!🙏🏼… right before Christmas and The NY. Condolences
They lost control and crashed where they crashed. They avoided the fuel tanks by coincidence.
Condolences to the friends and family rest in peace
Prayers to the family prayers to people who saw sorry for your precious lost 🙏 the boys did really well 🙏 rip
R.I.P. To both of them n they ohanas God bless all of them

Amen. By the grace of GOD [YAHWEH] is not worse. Condolences concerning the death of this flightcrew. 😢
Why did he allow it in the first place?
@edwardsbarbara25 Edward. What are you referring to? This under investigation, no one knows nothing.
The impossible turn
If the pilot were able to aim for anything he would have aimed for the airport runway. He was along for the ride at that point.

..thats what pilots do! You can tell who was in control by the broken thumbs. They will not stop trying to fly! RIP
Check the maintenance records.

The Pilot-s did not do anything Heroic in my opinion. Its just how the plane Crashed. It was Devine Intervention. RIP to this CREW. 🙏🙏
Aviate, Navigate ,Communicate.
I don't think any of those where performed.
Amazing array of comments who never turned a blade of an aircraft in their lives much less attained a license.

That was about five minutes too long.
if only the pilot could have found some water to land in.
Heroes
😮😢
Pilot did nothing!!!! He had no control at all. Pilot was sadly along for the ride. He didn't put the aircraft anywhere!!!!!!!!
Old planes and commercial operations are a hazard these days.
