The NTSB is one of the few govt agencies in which I have a lot of faith. Their reports are so incredibly thorough, down to the second…and they’re one of the last true bastions of transparency…

Some of these reporters are asking questions clearly not understanding what it is the NTSB does. Do a little research before taking the assignment.

A room for media briefings are worthwhile. Chance for cleaner audio & NTSB personnel can remove the sun protection eyewear.

That’s true for large commercial airliners but smaller aircraft it’s not.

Flight data and cockpit voice recorders are bright international orange and not shaped like a box.

Most FDRs are rectangular and boxy looking, depending on the manufacturer.
CVRs come in various shapes, again based on who makes it.
Irrelevant here because a Cessna Caravan is not equipped, nor are they required.

Unfortunately not all aircraft have "black boxes". Small aircraft do not have these and are not required to. I believe every aircraft should have a flight recorder, but sadly they don't.

Sad that the pilots were killed. It is also unfortunate that Congress has not yet passed a bill to support this valuable investigation work as of Thursday evening.
