    Man I'm lucky to find these videos, I just got a 93 for free because it was going to be scrapped. Told it was parked because of a coolant leak and I'll be damned this is exactly what's leaking

      That's awesome brother, welcome to the club! I've got over 60 videos of the truck and many of them are me doing some type of repair or upgrade. I also have a website and have the biggest, best, most complete *GMT400 Upgrades and Performance Parts Guide* . You can see that here. Hope this helps and thanks for watching. www.buildpriceoption.com/gmt400-upgrades/

      My 93 just started leaking coolant from the water pump as well. I did an oil change and full coolant flush and refill and hose replacement last month to get ready for winter and today it was leaking coolant like crazy from where the hose meets the water pump. Ill attempt to replace the pump on my own this weekend so hopefully that fixes it.

      @@BuildYourOwn is this video relevant to a 93
      Chevy k1500 5.7 V8? I dont want to start pulling stuff out and end up boned in the end if it all isnt the same procedure

    • @BuildYourOwn
      @BuildYourOwn  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vaevictis5178 the procedure should be the same. I have read many times that the V6 is like the V8 minus two cylinders. And you can pretty easily visually check your setup with the top shroud removed before you start pulling stuff apart. Hope this helps.

      I couldn't believe it. I have replaced just about everything now. I think I went that day and bought a radiator from Autozone. Here's the install th-cam.com/video/ozaM-G0Uzjs/w-d-xo.html

      @@BuildYourOwn I own a 2003 S-10, that was my dad's. I'm running into the same crap with it. It's a money pit, with only 47,000 miles on it. If it weren't for the fact it was my dad's truck, I would so get rid of it. I'm too old now to do this crap myself, so I'm at the mercy of mechanics. PRAY FOR ME. LOL I'll watch your radiator video now. I swear, when the heater core goes?...... so goes this truck.

    Awesome I'm learning a lot of how to take care of the truck. I have autism and I don't have my driver's license and I'm almost 30. I'm determined to get my driver's license someday

Do you have any idea whats wrong? And the clip from the side door is kind of messed up. I have to shut it hard for it to close. Have any idea what is wrong?

    I replaced my water pump on my c1500 but I have a hose that connects to the top that I see yours doesn't have what is this hose called? (It's stainless steel)

    Is this a reliable truck for hauling about 2000 pounds in your opinion

    • @BuildYourOwn
      @BuildYourOwn  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not sure this truck with the 4.3L and all it's original drivetrain components is up for the task. I'd want a 2500 or 3500 for sure
