I wish they'd use this fender Matt on my car before they ruined my paint on my 1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88 🤔

Did you ever figure out what was leaking in the back of your engine?.... because that's what I've got going now. My mechanic has it. I think it's the intake manifold gasket, and if that's the case, I'm going to have him replace the entire distributor, water pump, thermostat and all the hoses. Now, like you, I'll get all this done?..... and then the radiator will blow apart. Grrrrrrr. Good luck man.

I did find the source of the leak. There is a freeze plug basically above the starter that was leaking. I was able to do a repair but not a permanent fix. I have that video too! There's over 60 videos of the truck. I kept thinking it was the intake manifold gasket too. I hope it works out for you brother.

Is your truck a manual transmission? I have an 88 Cheyenne and my radiator is leaking as well, I saw online that there’s a difference between a automatic and manual transmission radiator.

Hey there, thanks for your question! 🚗🔧 My '94 Chevy C1500 actually has an automatic transmission. You're correct in saying there can be a difference between radiators for manual and automatic transmissions.
In an automatic, the radiator typically has an integrated cooler for the transmission fluid, whereas a manual transmission vehicle wouldn't need this feature. This could impact the design and connections on the radiator, so it's important to get the right one for your vehicle's specifications.
Always double-check when purchasing parts, and if you're unsure, don't hesitate to ask a professional for advice. Best of luck with your radiator replacement on your '88 Cheyenne!👍🔧

Also those "locaters", you need to pull them through the hole a bit to lock them into place.

As a heads up, it would've cost less than $100 to repair your old one. Heck it was $80 for them to repair 23 holes in one I took to a shop last year
