Wonder if a non fish eye version of this would be released. The 180 is nice, but for my eyes, I think would be nicer to have a more limited field of view, but without the distortion from fish eye.

Hi, Jefferson! You may be able to find Battery Pack LP-E17 through our nationwide network of authorized dealers. Visit canon.us/3xfO4Pf and enter the camera model you need a battery for to find a list of dealers in your area and online. Dealers who stock a particular camera model will often carry the accessories to go with it.

why is this not in stereoscopic 3D? Its's just VR180 but has no 3D effect. You can see that also when you click on the quality settings; if a video is VR180 AND 3D there will be a 3D setting. And another question; where can I find the films of Matt Celia? I would like to watch them in 3D also.

      Hello Ilker:
The best 3D 180 VR experience requires use of a compatible headset. You can learn more about Matt Celia and his work, through his company website: www.lightsailvr.com/about.php.
      We hope this information helps.

@@CanonUSA hey, thank you, but I'm already using a VR headset. My point is that it is VR180 but it's not stereoscopic 3D (also you would see in the quality settings if it was 3D). Is he Canon EOS VR System 180 but can not produce stereoscopic 3D? That's irritating because on the specs it's called stereoscopic video recording.

@@take9film The Canon RF5.2mm F2.8 L Dual Fisheye Lens does indeed produce a picture designed for stereoscopic viewing. Check out canon.us/3AbImyh to see it in action and to also get a look at how the lens captures two discreet images with a unique view for each eye.
      Glad we could help!

Why hasn't Canon come out with a Premiere plugin for Macs with M1 chips? Please fix this soon, it's been almost a year!

Is this true? Then I can’t use/purchase this technology from Canon.

@@morningtidefilms Exactly, I wish I knew this before I bought the lens. I figure they'll have to some day, but it's been nearly a year now and they haven't come out with an updated plugin.

I rented the lens to try 180 photos for a project. Image quality is as expected from Canon lens - incredible! I appreciate that I don't have to purchase a license for the EOS VR utility software for photos. I'm sure the cost is covering the Apple ProRes licensing for video. However... Canon.
    (1) We need some workflow tutorials and perhaps suggested hosting platforms that support 180 imagery (photography) as a single flat image with only 180-degree limits. If I drop this into various platforms, it creates a complete spherical image so I see a duplicate image in the 360 spin.
    (2) The EOS VR Utility will only convert/process camera JPGs. Seriously? The JPGs coming out are not acceptable. The CR3 raw files are fantastic. But in either format, as soon as I make edits in LightRoom and export to JPG, TIFF, DNG... EOS VR Utility can no longer recognize it.
    (3) As mentioned, the hot mess is 360 video and images. If I'm going to invest in the Canon VR offerings, I need a little more direction from Canon to help find our way. Tutorials here on this channel.

About IPD 60mm is not good enough since average IPD of human eye is 65mm, and for other reasons Even 70mm IPD is much more acceptable..
