Jeep EcoDiesel engine Rebuild & Review

Picked up a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel a few years back. I was unable to get the parts I needed to rebuild it up until a few months ago. Since Mopar wants around $16k for a new engine!
No way I was going to pay that much for one. I ended up Rebuilding this engine for around $3500, which is still cheaper than a used engine that would have been in unknowncondition!. The engine rebuild turned out good! Saved some money and also know that the engine will be solid now.

How hard was it to rebuild ?
Mine just went but I don't want to get rid of it, I love this SUV !
I do have have mechanical experience but rebuilding an engine, a diesel at that, will definitely be a first

@mig1215 it wasn't too bad to rebuild. Getting/finding the parts I needed is what was the most difficult part. I was contemplating finding a good used engine but since I was able to get the parts I needed finally I decided to just rebuild it. Saved about half the $$$$ vs buying a used one. At the same time though I've rebuilt many different engines so it just comes down to if you feel comfortable enough attempting to rebuild it
