I just bought one of these - had it less than a week. I absolutely love it. Way more power then the s7 or gt43/53. Agree on the wireless charger. Mine works, but the contact patch to charge is relatively small and as soon as I start driving, the phone slides around and off the charger.
I have a 2022 850 GC ordered 8/21 with nearly every option but the wireless charger was a factory "delete option", allegedly due to the chip shortage. Nonetheless, an absolutely great car!
I have the same auto, in a 2-door coupe', however. It's terrific, in every aspect, and I (personally) love the full Merino Ivory-colored leather interior !!
What color is that? Looks similar to my x50e i got in mountain ridge blue...The best part of my car is i haven't put a drop of gas in mine in 6 months...Charge it every night
My apologies, but I never spec’d the car so I don’t recall the color name. But it is a beauty. Does the X50e come with the V8 engine? Having a V8 is important to me when it comes to a high performance GT
@@Supercaradventures It does not but it does have similar hp and torque to the m850i...slightly less...I would take a v8 but they don't sell the electric hybrid with one...Beats the Mercedes we looked at that came with a 4 cylinder tho...One benefit tho is the new highway assistant is fully hands free on the highway up to 85 mph...I went on a road trip for 8 hours and touched the wheel only a few times...
I own a 23 850 GC. The things that bother me is the interior space. It`s not much bigger than a 4 series and the car is huge. Another thing are the 20 inch wheels. They are bad on rough pavement and when I hit a small bump in the road, it soundsl ike they are about to fall off. The third thing are the OEM wheels. They look like bycicle tires. 275 section on a car of this size is a joke. I put some 305s on it. makes a huge difference.
So I'm about to buy a M850i Gran Coupe. For a long time I was confused to choose between the AMG GT 53 Coupe 4-door, the GLE 53 Coupe and the BMW 850i GC. Since the BMW is the only car with an eight-cylinder engine in this comparison, I finally chose it. I haven't received my car yet. I don't like thin tires either, but I think they have the advantage of reducing wheel noise. In general, I would like to know if you are satisfied with the car?
@@jjodise Absolutely. I own mine since 11/22 (Was an individual order from Germany). Been a great experience. 0 problems and it`s an ass kicker. Especially compared to the 53`s. They don`t have a chance. And the 305`s made a big difference. They are not louder but provide much needed grip. The car came with Pirellis; not a good choice. They are not very satisfying. I put Michelin Pilot Sport 4s on the car and it`s like day and night. The really make the car look so much better. Go for it but be aware, the depreciation is a bitch on this thing. But if you`re in it for the long haul, you couldn`t make a better choice. And it`s so much prettier than those Mercedes abominations.
Seriously only a man's MAN can drive this car. I am a woman and have no interest in cars for me there is no difference in Porsche or Lamborghini (nothing special😁) BUT, when this beast entered my backyard (it was a client of my father ) I almost fainted. For the first time in my life I googled a car. 🤭 And had to write this down 😆because this car EXUDES testosterone. It is just fierce. No spoilers or any other type of macho crap, this BMW is so beautiful, masculine, powerful like when I saw it approaching I was lightheaded. In my entire life I've never had this type of reaction for a CAR?! I. And the guy driving it was pretty masculine so yeah, top combination. 👌And when he left and the sound of that engine ,I thought it was an earthquake, dear Lord, it is what a car is intended for: bold and beautiful. But seriously only a real man can pull this off.
My wife and I have owned 4 BMW’s; I just purchased this two months ago it’s the only car I have ever wanted to just go in the garage and sit in it. And I don’t have any of the issues this guy is experiencing… and he left out one key feature, the MCard that you can lay flat on the charger in the console compartment and start your car! Great when you don’t want to have a key fob in your pocket. Bad ass car! I think my wife is heat! 😂😂

Both great cars. I test drove the M550i. To me the main difference is aesthetic. 8 series is more of a sports GT, 5 series just a regular understated sedan. Both fast. I’ve been told that the 850 sounds a bit different, perhaps more tuned to be sporty?
I had a M550d -19 and switch to a M850i GC -22. Soo much more fun to drive. The feeling, the connecting, the joy of taking the curves. The M850 is much more fun to drive. And the brakes are much better than on the 550.
Same car as you and the wireless charger works 100% of the time for me. You’re still under warranty.. have you thought about bringing it in to get that checked out?
@@eaststreetvariety5214M8 or m850i! M5 is a fantastic car but looks like a slightly nicer 5 series whereas the 8 series GCs are far more unique and turn heads.

@ hundred thousand dollar car and the engine starts leaking at 45,000 miles and let’s face it majority of Mercedes-Benz and BMW‘s engines and transmissions alike are absolute garbage. I don’t care what any bmw homeboy says. the dealer tells you oh sorry out of warranty you need a new engine that’ll be $30,000 The point is if you pay for luxury and over $100,000 I would hope every damn little thing in that car worked properly and down to the T
@@Gatornation2020dude that’s just hating. Probably not the v8, but bmw’s B58 is one of the most reliable engines out there. Yes, expensive to repair, but 100k Lexus or Nissan GTR are not cheap to repair, either.

Mine barely works. It can only keep my phone at the same level of charge. Complained to BMW and they said, it's your phone, not the car!
@@maxshojaie9214I actually bought a small MagSafe wireless charger off Amazon. It’s turned out to be a good solution.
Nice nice video thanks for it !!!
I had a 2018, a 2019 X3 M40i and my current 21 X5M. The wireless charger on them always worked great.
Yeah, not sure what the deal is, I guess I’ve had bad luck!
Amazinf car. I would prefer 5 series vagon due to practicality, but this engine probably not available in a vagon.

Go with the V8, it’s worth it. I am very happy. I swapped the tires with Continental Extreme Contact all seasons and they are great

@@michaelv6870 You are right about depreciation on this car. A few months ago I made a video about this exact problem.
Potholes in New York have kept me at the dealer. Luckily i have the wheel & tire package. That is literally the only major issue with the car.
Think im going to get an 840 and tune it over the m550 simply due to the looks
Feel like it would be more reliable as well
