I don't have a boat but was just sitting at the waters edge today and talked about wanting one......I may need to put this one on my wish list..... Great job mate....🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
I wouldn’t be bagging out aluminium boats. The equivalent size boat in alloy would only require a 20hp and cost half the amount in fuel! Which the price of fuel these days makes a big difference in cost!
Hi Wazza, fair points but with the amounts we carry the ally still requires the 40hp. Certainly like my alloy boats but no 4.1 i have owned compares overall to the poly. The challenger has definitely been a gamechanger for us. At the same time though there are huge pro's and con's to both.
Hi , sorry to add a negative but the 410 is NOT a safe boat to use outside in anything other than flat water , they will wear heaps of water over the bow in anything remotely sloppy . I have owned one for over 10 years & there are heaps of positives about them but using it outside is not one of them , in fact my old 12ft savage snipe was a far better hull in any swell with a bit of slop to it as the bow would easily rise up over the water , something the poly does not do . Part of the reason is in the actual design , that being a wide , flat sided & basically flat bottom pointy punt & the other is in the weight of the hull , at 300kg plus without adding anything is immense for a 4.1 metre boat , so there is more hull in the water even when at planing speed than the lighter competition . Anyone buying a 4.10 poly should have the BIGGEST BILGE PUMP you can fit in the back as the top priority in the fitout , even some inland dams can throw up a nasty short sharp chop that will readily crash over the front . Other than this they are top notch in nearly every other aspect of inshore , estuary fishing scenario where stability & the robustness & the material really shine including the lack of paint to scratch & simple corrosion free fitting process . One thing that didnt come as any sort of option when we bought ours , was the ability to fit a front mounted raised casting seat , it cost me heaps in custom stainless fabrication to build something that was super strong & in the right position as we had to mount on top of the deck , instead of the usual process of an in floor socket style setup on an alloy boat , maybe polycraft now cater for this these days ? same thing went for the Minn Kota bow mount plate , little option but to use heavy 6mm stainless with a combination of stainless through bolting & big 14 gauge self tappers & a fair bit of thought in regards to placement to get a satisfactory super strong mount . The last point a lot of people think about is will the hull material stand the test of time & harsh bash about , near maintenaince free use , I can say resoundingly the answer is YES . They don’t look as pretty as a flash painted alloy or gel coated glass boat , but if you don’t mind a few nicks & scratches here & there , even then most will simply sand off if your picky , but if you arent picky you can look forward to never having to worry about ugly big scratches & marks with the other 2 hull materials , that’s the beauty of the poly , it’s nearly 10mm thick & is the same colour through out that thickness , so marks don’t show readily . Mine is always tied up at the ramp getting hammered against the timber wharf with every boat wash bouncing the hull against it & unless you look real close , you can’t see , same goes with the 16lb anchor , there are plenty of nicks where the points have hit under the front , I could sand them off if I cared , but I don’t , that’s why I bought the poly in the first place. I hope this long post may help those considering buying a polycraft .
So many comments, where's the rego numbers? Foils are for under sized and poorly installed motors or wrong prop pitches, there are the lazy mans way out, is the tuffy going,?, is sitting with legs backwards bad for the front seat passenger, is the ladder standard, does it feel like its gonna pull out with the self tappers?, what's the trailer like...., if the big fella is solo with all the fuel is it nose high?
Hey mate. I’ll do my best with this one. Rego- at the time of the video the boat still was under dealer plates and for the video they where in the hatches. Foils- incorrect. Some boats benifit massively from foils for a very large amount of reasons, I’m sure a few foil boys will happily explain, whilst we are not a fan of foils we certainly understand their importance in certain circumstances. Tuffy- that went a short while ago ready for this sensational piece of poly. Ladder- I believe optional extra but everything at poly is very reasonably priced and it works terrific with no incline of pulling out of the hull. Solid as a rock. Big Fella- with me down the back by myself she does not sit nose high at all, with the wonderfull trim tilt on the yammy, levelling this boat out is a simple task. Love the comment mate, thanks.
3 girls trying to make a name for themselves by buying boats and lying about them. If they only knew how to catch something bigger then a herring. Pathetic
5guys in a 4.10 poly doing 29knots my arse I had the same with a 50 yam 4stroke brand new with power tilt trim and got 26 knots. These guys lie their arse off like they did with the 3m tuffy, I called them out on that too and they didn't like that. That's why they bought a 4.10 because the 3m was shit
@@benncumms8667 yeah right bud, I've owned both boats and they have bother lied about their findings to suit their agenda. They are the ones trying to profit with their dreams and bullshit not me

You reckon 3 in the pink might be a bit of a stretch?
2 in the pink, 1 in the stink might be more appropriate.
Following this series lads!!
I've been watching this boat for 2 years I got to get one . Nice rigg you guys . I live in Tenneessee this boat is perfect for the river or the lake.
You would love it.
Fantastic guys, looking forward to the vids👍🏻 hope to see you out there one day.
Another great video, I am almost ready to buy one myself for around Perth, can't wait
We noticed Boat city had a nice couple in there yesterday when we went in to discuss some more fit out options
@@On-PointAdventures Ok cheers I will check them out
Shop around for other boats they aren't what they seem, also they are not dry
I like it. Nothing like that in Tennessee, but it would useful, for sure!
Australia has some awesome boats. Between polycraft and stabicraft.
Amazing how quiet it is just sitting there with small surf hitting it. All you hear is the water. I’m gonna look for a similar model here in Oregon
It is a fantastic hull for silence that's for sure

I reckon polycraft boats are the most safest for offshore /inshore fishing.
