The great thing about these boats is that they can be recycled. I wasn’t getting out on the water due to other commitments, so I recycled mine. I now have 95 wheelie bins.
Guys, with such a superior advantage of polyethylene over aluminum why all Polycraft offers is 4 years of warranty on their hulls, while companies making aluminum hulls give 10+ ? I'm genuinely puzzled by this. Looking forward for Polycraft entering Canadian market this year. Would love to buy 450 or 480 for their stability, however before putting my Starcraft for sale I would like to know the reason why only 4 years? An other polyethylene boat manufacturer SmartWave offers only 2 years? Anybody with information out there could you please dwell on it? Thank you.
Actually, the last time I checked, "neutrally buoyant" meant that it neither sank nor floated, Your poly floats, not that that's a bad thing, but that makes it "positively buoyant" not "neutrally buoyant. The boats look great, do you have any dealers in the U.S.A.?
@@PolycraftBoats I believe he was referring to when the boat gets dragged across rocks, polyethylene does well on impacts but not well on scuffing and scratches. Even dragging these boats across sand will leave scratches as they are a lot heavier than a similar sized aluminium boat. Impacts on jetties with muscles growing on them will put deep gouges in the boats.
That keeps happening to my boats again and again - I just wonder around on my local river and suddenly - get into some hydrochloric acid!!! Boat melts and is no longer usable(( Gotta buy polycraft, they really proved that they can withstand that!

Peter ,the 455 has been discontinued for over 15 years mate, so yea the price has increased since then , just like everything else including the price of beer :)
@@PolycraftBoats which is wrong. Dont blame increasing prices on inflation. If these boats were 10k youd sell 10's of thousands. At the end of the day you guys are using 2k in materials
The same as any other boat that spends its life in the water, you anti foul the hull and get bilge pump to clear the rain water from the internal hull.
@@PolycraftBoats the 5.99 C/C is one hell of a hull BTW!! Incredibly stable, responsive and fast out of the hole. Well matched with a 150hp 4 stroke. I had my doubts but I must admit I was surprised at how well they perform! Impressive!
I love to be able to find one I live in Warner Robins Georgia I seen them on TH-cam and I think they're the most best looking small look like a one man can hold them but they're having a bunch of trouble lunchroom and bring them back on the ramp on the trailer
no they arent. the average aluminium tinny is 1.6mm sides and bottom, with bigger ones going to 3mm. unless you have a plate aluminium boat. all these specs are available on every manufacturers website. please research before you make a fool of yourself any further.
Dont recommended but ah well. Fitting a new motor to my tuffy. Just draged the entire boat onto the concrete berth so I had solid ground. Then fit the motor and slide her in again. They're heavy. But tough as all hell. And wow they go. 15 Mercury super flock me sideways. Im doing 43kph. Itll beat my Dads Stacer 435 with a 40 Merc on it.
Why are polycraft boats so expensive there's very little materials and labor in the construction you should be able to price your boat significantly cheaper than competitors and dominate the small boat market especially in the United States. I would love to have a 480 Cuddy but your prices are too high for what you're getting compared to other boat manufacturers
It is be nice if you can compare your boat polycraft vs Whaly 500r . this will help a lot. thank you. for sure the only thing now is poly just look better.... but to pay for the look at $$$$ is not worth it.
There’s the issue with these boats. Your using pressed alloy moulds. So very crude low resolution shape. If you could manage to mimic a good glass boat hull shape, you would be light years ahead of what you are producing. I understand the limits with the thermal issues of the mold. Food for thought.
huge issue, crude? i dont see the issue or see it as being any more crude than roll forming a aluminium tinny, you ridden in one? the ride as well as any glass boat.
In theese boats you dont care about using it as a mirror.Only purpose is to use the boat vith no mainetance and "restrictions" You can bounce into the pier and nothing happen. last summer my boat a Pioner 15(norwegian hdpe boat) where at a pier in cement and some big vesselseas hit the boat and it just just "jump" back like a spring. The fiberglassboat next to it made a hole in it,s hull on it,s back and 2 people stressed a lot, i just hang there with the hands in my pocket drinking a coffee.Thats why purchase a hdpe boat. No stress and enjoying the sea.You can hit it with a axe or sledgehammer with no problems

All pink ?
Sweet, means I can keep fishing my favourite hydrochloric acid lake.
You and me, we would be really good friends LOL!!!!
They are showing it's inert qualities when compared to say aluminium boats which suffer from electrolysis if you drop a bottle top in the hull etc.
Think im getting a polycraft next. Cant find a single fault. 4.8 sc with a 90hp suzy. Cant wait
I had a look at some just today and was super impressed with what you get for the money

These boats are amazing!
I'm convinced on the longevity + Aussie made. I'll be using one on the Whitsundays!
Thanks bro. I’m buying this someday
Finally available in the states beginning Jan/2021!
I love my 4.5 drifter deadset cannot fault the thing they are tough as 💪🏼
Cruising yachts should use hdpe as a protector bottom plate that can be changed when it is worn out.

www.polycraft.com is the new American website
Polycraft Boats Finally! Available in Jan/2021
Great against a sledge hammer because it is soft and elastic, when you hit rocks there will be huge damage compared to Ali.
You must have skipped over the drop dart test in the behind the scenes video . Poly more impact resistant than Alloy , the drop dart proves that .
did you watch this with your ears and eyes closed?

Are they sold in the USA
Brian Fitzpatrick yes they are, go to Ploycraft.com
These boat used to be quite cheap but now are very expensive. In saying that they are a great boat. The 455 was not a dry boat but very capable.

How much to ship to Cape Town? I've checked and we don't have any dealers in South Africa.
this product should have been used on grenfell tower, people would still be alive today.
I love my polycraft
I wonder if there are any skuppers on the boat? I do not see any way for rain or spray to come out of the boat.
they have a bung at the back like every other boat.
They are amazing . But I lived in Puerto Rico . In the Caribbean and I think it's difficult to me to have one this far .
go to our US based distributor to make an inquiry about availability in Puerto Rico , www.polycraft.com
Can you tell me the reason that prevent Polycraft to make larger HDPE boats?
Flow rate , and equipment , a largest boat we can roll is a 6 meter .

if something floats it is positively buoyant, not neutral. Just saying...
Thats pretty interesting, great properties for your boat to have, so much potential. Too bad this are the ugliest boats I have seen
