It's not a superior, it's a different model, please show the model in the box or the spool..
@@arnelatienza8492 it most certainly is a superior, given I own 6 of them I’m fairly confident of the name. They a no longer produced however and where an anaconda Australia exclusive
@@On-PointAdventures Sorry mate, i think it's the australian version you got there, I have a superior with black gold color and many holes in the spool.. I want to show it to you for comparison however there is no option to upload photos here in yt.
CID GT and Ice Cream are part of the assassin rod group. A company here in South Africa. We get a good range of sizes and weights. If you haven't tried the GT Ice Cream plugs yet you should get some
Absolutely mate. Been using gt ice cream and richter plugs for many years now
Fabulous video. Excellent testing procedure. I like the testing with different loads. Very real world conditions. That 15 did very well. Then you put on the 9.9 and that impressed also. Except when you both were on. I wonder if the tuffy can handle a 25. Great work guys.
The tuffy could easily handle a 25, however, we had to stay in the parameters of the compliance plate.
Do you hold a currant drone license?
@@denyswoodroffe490 not me, but the operator did
If Australia’s were a little tidier, we could still be using real straws. Kiwi
Great hack. I take a toilet paper roll, fill it with dryer lint and then fill the roll with bees wax. Burns great!
Were is this place bro. Luvbyr video pls
I want my two minutes back
@@kenhart5259 sorry, no can do, but thanks for the comment.
I collect sawdust from my table saw, mix it with melted wax, and make finger thick sticks about 6" long. really good fire starters
That’s an awesome idea. Will have to give this a go
@@On-PointAdventures - if you don't have a table saw, you can grab a few handfuls at your local lowes or home depot. they have the big table saw in the lumber section.
So many get the outboard height wrong. For instance Tohatsu are 20.7 inch legs,, not 20 inch, so if you just dump it on the transom you are already at least 3/4 inch below keel line.
@@bobbuilder5362 exactly
Great video mate now I see why it's doesn't work with braid line
Super stoked it helped mate
You use a dacron loop what is it exactly or could you use a rudder band
@@johnclisby8451 a rubber band could also work well. With the Dacron loop tho I know that it is not breaking.
I've actually got rid rid of all of my braid off my reels and replaced with good old fashioned mono and I couldnt be happer.
Mono in some situations is such a pleasure to use.
Cheers for the video! What I was looking for, from a kiwi bloke across the ditch :) You just gained a new sub shagger!
@@KiwiChillies cheers for the sub, but most importantly awesome to have you onboard
Brendo, I always carry a slide baiting set up with me (I have a reel with 2 spools 1 mono, and 1 braid) but barely use it for the cons you mentioned. If the wind is in my face then it's generally blowing weed in. One thing I am going to try is floatation on the slide rig, basically set up a dingle dangle rig for the slide bait and tie that bait on and have it float when deployed. Last point slide baiting is probably the best way to live bait from shore not trying to cast 15 ounces of bait and sinker.
@@toddmillar4041 problem with a float system it that it will prevent it from progressing deeper towards the solid ring. Unfortunately the ol floating dangle will stop you quicker than weed
@@On-PointAdventures thanks for the heads up
@@toddmillar4041 your welcome. Thankyou for taking the time to comment mate. Hope to catch you on the beach one day
Great video mate! Should have watched this before my last attempt. Standing on the top of a dune watching a whole herring stuck halfway down the line a metre out of the water tring to slide down braided line 😂
@@DangasTackleTips haha that would have been frustrating as heck. We need to catch up soon mate

@@johnclisby8451 she is all ready to roll next sunday
Excellent review! I recently went out to the Kayaks2Fish outlet in SA ready to throw a couple grand on a new kayak. I was immidiately put off these kayaks two seconds after walking in. Horrible service! The lady pointed me to the Kayaks that were filthy dirty spread out over the warehouse floor, semi assembled. On close inspection I could tell the quality of the kayaks were less than impressive. No thanks.
@@mattbartlett7964 Thankyou for the comment mate 👍
Great vid! Once the bream are fired up is there a chance of another species showing up for a sniff? If so what species would you expect to see?
Certainly. Any form of commotion is great as other species will usually come for a gander. Herring, whiting, silver trevalley, flat head etc will usually show up.
Oh, I get it. Was wondering how you were gonna get the berley out there. Learn something new everyday.
@@rayrutherford1691 Gday mate. Glad it helped. Have a great rest of your day
Thanks for this video !
@@thomask837 your welcome
It's all good to watch your video, buddie.
@@matthewgovender2486 glad to have you along for the journey
glad to see someone use a 7ft rod on the beach quick question when you say metals it seems like it can cast only a 20gram one?
@@stevejones9636 yes only around 20g but on this combo that is a massive cast that can be achieved
If a smaller fish bites you will never catch it with this system. Also you have systems to directly have the hook on the release
Thankyou for the comment. I am slightly disinclined to agree. Small fish still often get caught with single dangles. Whilst there are systems to directly hook onto a release aid they make it a little more difficult to build a really nice bait ( not impossible but not as easy). Also the flotation the dangle offers is vary handy. Both systems have their time and place
What a great vid. What weight assist would you recommend? Cheers!
Hi mate. We use the vexed assist cord
Thanks for the update! Hanging for better weather
Thx mate !!
You’re welcome
Thanks for the Video, we are looking at buying one and wanted to see how stable they are 👍
They are certainly a very stable boat
The most horse power will win any comparison. You'll love a 9.9 over an 8 or 6 horse power.
@@MrRab1960 not always, one of the boats we tested not long ago performed a lot better with the lesser horsepower, we have to take into comparison weight as well as displacement, but in this particular case with the 9.9v15 the 9.9 was always going to have a tough task winning the battle.
Hey there,.. I've been using 30lb. Berkeley fireline crystal for about 3 years now.... I'm sure it's similar to the your version...it casts quite well on my multiplier reels... all my reels cast over 100 yards... some of them get me 150 + yards because they're tuned ... I have spinning reels but they're not going to cast 100 yards very easily...I truly believe multiplier reels will always cast much further than a spinning reel can ever cast.. But to each his own ... also, the best setup is the one that feels right to you,.. no matter what others say... 🤙😎👍
@@jaaron2834 this is such a spot on comment. Multipliers will always outcast a spin reel as well as they have a lot more capacity. All my slide bait gear is mutipliers
@@On-PointAdventures Awesome,..! So glad to hear from someone else that really knows about multipliers 👍😎🤙
@@jaaron2834 absolutely. We will cover them very soon on the channel
I've given up on braid and now only use platypus ultrathin mono. I never have any issuses with it.
@@rigger314 braid can be a pain in the ass sometimes that’s for sure
You really should try the Berkeley lines ....👍😎🤙
@@jaaron2834 Berkley is American mate whereas Platypus is Australian where I am so I choose locally made. I have nothing against Berkley as I do not think I've used it.
Time to go to the shops I think
You certainly will not be disappointed
I said the same thing 3 years ago ....I ended up spending a fortune on all the gear that was absconded by theives.... but I replaced most of what was lost plus some classic vintage & unused Abu reels .. but @ 5 times the original price ....also a few vintage & unused high-end rods.. like a Browning SilaFlex bait casting rod ......all the vintage gear mentioned ,.. was the gear my father had given to me when I was a child ... so happy to have them again...🤙😎👍
Can i set sdc to detect gold only???
It will do everything. Can even coin shoot if you wish
Does anyone know what’s better this or the Tamar peddle kayak 3.2m ?
beard game on point too
Haha cheers mate
I'm only one viewer but wanna see you tackle the high seas in the cyclone(s). Looking forward to the next vid legend 🤙
What are we waiting for then, let’s go have a crack
They are old fashion shit
@@leecassidy9424 old fashioned for sure, shit? Questionable as they are completely indestructible. We can appreciate they are certainly not every one’s cup of tea, however. They will still catch as many fish and outlast many reels with out any question at all. Personally I much prefer my long cast penn reels for surf fishing these days.
Alvey reels are junk
Fair enough. Cheers for the comment
Finally someone showing how to actually INSTALL it
@@lisaalphabet hope you enjoyed it
Been using them on Lake Erie since the middle 90s! The Walleye love them !
They sure are awesome
if change propeler for 9.9 hp meybe get more speed ?
Certainly. Drop a pitch and will be a different story.
What’s happened to the poly
The poly is still around. We have moved north to where we are predominantly in the open seas, this is why we have opted a cuddy for the time being
That's a pretty nice looking rig right there! The bait and sinker being inline is great for the surf. Might even work on the jetties. I haven't tried it yet but i wonder why I've never seen this rig used in the US. It looks like a very simple yet versatile rig. Cant wait to try it out. Thanks for the video!
Please let us know how you go
Hey guys, went to this spot today after seeing it on your channel, caught 2 bream, was on the other side though, will go again, cheers guys
Glad it helped with a new spot to add to your list
In the process off buying one thanks to your channel 🤙🏻🍻
You won’t regret it
Awesome!! 🤙🏻
Living the best life bro
Having a go at anyway
Where’s the foam?
Dangles don’t always require foam, in fact 70% of the time I don’t use foam.
For me the addition of a 2nd engine helped a bit. Allot actually when the boat is heavy loaded . The extra gas needed is significant.
That certainly would help for sure
