Sadly... they don't. I feel sad for people that never tried them or even learned to drive on cars of that era. So much more feel, noise, and pure fun to drive. Im all for newer turbo cars that haul absolute a** but there is just something about these cars with the ability to rev and wring them out without getting into stupid trouble.

Interesting to see the differences between this and the UK version, known as the Mazda 3 Sport - the useful under-floor boot/trunk storage is missing for example.
And yes, you are right about the driving experience of cars from this era. Bought my '06 one at three years old and now (Dec 2023) it's both the oldest car I've owned and the one I have kept for the longest. See no reason to move on and taking it past 20 years old is tempting.

Wow, what an amazing transformation! I actually really appreciate this video. Two important questions though...
    1) How many hours of your time were consumed for all of the cleaning and detailing you did in this video?
    2) Isn't it a risk to spray liquid in and around the various buttons and controls on the dash? The radio, the HVAC, the turn signals, ignition, and all kinds of other buttons and controls...seems like at least some of that liquid MUST have seeped back behind the buttons, and possibly into the electrical contacts behind them...especially when compressed air follows after the liquid + wipe-off sequence. Thoughts?

I prefer stick….it takes a boring slow car and just makes it more fun to drive. Even cars with under 200 hp. Currently drive a 2013 Suzuki SX4 2.0 with a Six Speed Manual and it makes that 150hp(from factory I’m sure I’ve lost some over the years) COME ALIVE. Before the SX4, owned a Fiat 500 and same thing, 101 hp felt like so much more. Im all for saving the manuals but sadly the US mostly wants Suvs, trucks and crossovers and Automatics ☹️😭😢
Great job on the car as always and I’m out of Mint Shine so I’ll be ordering more sometime soon!!

But if I grab a Tornador, I use the blow gun version with no chemical reservoir which is great to blow sand and dog hair out of the carpet fibers….even better when paired with the velocity vac attachment. It’s a bit comber some with the vac attachment but it does work great.

yes it was big time. I even cut some of the vacuuming video out in each section because it would have dragged on too long for the video lol

I want you to take all that you love about this car and then throw it out the window when something as simple as replacing the cabin air filter is tried.
I HATE this car for that, owned one and will never ever miss it. Don't forget the rust they were plauged with.
