    Mannn you are a legend.. I have a 2012 skyactiv GT with 147k now, I've done some work on her myself but not even close to the level you're going at. Really inspiring to see all that you did by yourself, I hope to make mine as good as yours someday.

      Thanks man! That's great keep up the mods! I've been moding this platform for years to get to this point! 👍

    I got a 2010 Mazda 3 2.5 with 250k currently. Bought it about a year ago with a little over 200k. I’m the second owner. Used liqui moli engine flush twice. Transmission fluid wasn’t changed by prior owner so dropped the pan, changed trans gasket n filter. Did trans fluid change 3x. In the front I did stabilizer link bars, ball joints, outer tie rod ends. Front struts. In the rear I did wheel hub assembly. It needs a/c Condenser, heater core and I’m thinking of replacing the radiator for an all metal one. Probably do the radiator hoses. Spark plugs were fomoco oem those where changed out for oem ngk. Changed the 3 motor mounts(passenger side mount, transmission mount, rear motor mount) I think the pulley tensioner is frozen I think 🤔 I’m basically restoring it. It was fun to drive before all the work but now she is coming back to life! I love my Mazda 3❤ going to keep it till I blow the engine lol I’m definitely going to do something’s to it but first gotta make sure suspension is good enough to handle it. Your video was fun to watch and very insightful as I’m going to be doing similar things to my Mazda. Awesome video #mazda3family

    I bought my MZ3 hatch brand new in 2012, and after twelve years of ownership I put in over 180,000 miles on it and it has given me no issues. It's an awesome little car, have gotten plenty of compliments in the early days, and I plan on driving her until the wheels fall off, haha. Such a fun and dependable car - you did it justice; a thing of beauty! You've earned a sub, sir 😎

    You're super-gutsy to try to swap transmissions just to see if they would fit. Hats off to you! I just picked up a stock 2013 Mazda 3 sport auto in Forida. It's been declared salvage not once, but twice. At least the underside has zero rust.

    • @DrivingProduction
      @DrivingProduction  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks!! Since it's a pretty niche platform there's not too much information on swaps like this so I just had to take a gamble and it all worked out in the end! Twice salvage is cray, but still having no rust on the car would make it soo nice to work with!! 👍

    Great video, really enjoyed iCe modification as it progressed, just picked one up 2 weeks ago 08 already making my list. Been a automotive tech for years, now the Mazda gets my sole attention . Seeing it all from the floor let's me know so much on this little Mazda. Again great video 👍

      Thanks! I'm glad you liked the video and that it helped you for your build! I do love the look of the 08 a lot more, and pretty much all the suspension stuff I did is pretty much the same on the first gens. 👍

    I have a 2007 and the rear engine mount upgrade to Corksport made a huge difference. The manual shifting is silky smooth and it even has a bit more growl to it. Totally changed the car.

    Mine isn’t nearly as cool as this but I’m on my journey to install everything I can find on my 2012 Skyactiv. So far:
    2.5 GT wing
    Speed3 rear sway bar
    Speed3 axle back and bumper
    2.5 sideskirts
    Speed3 red stitch arm rest and shift boot
    Ford focus electric rear motor mount
    Window visors
    2.5 throttle body
    Coming up:
    Turn signal mirrors
    Fog lights
    Heated seats from a 2.5

    This video is great! I have the same car and I would love to mod at least half of what you did.
    I wonder where did you learn how to take out each and every part out and change/replace it?
    I found no guides on net.
    Btw, how long it took you to do all of this?
    Wonderful job, bro! Love the car!

    • @DrivingProduction
      @DrivingProduction  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks!! I really appreciate your feedback! I bought this Mazda 3 in January 2022 and have been building it since then. Before that I had the same Mazda 3 (white) but in Auto that you can also find on the channel, and I was building that chassis before this one. Most of the stuff I learn along the way to do, I have been working on cars since before I had a license haha and I love learning new things and how cars work. Thanks again! I really appreciate the support! 😃

    Why did you remove the antenna just to bondo the hole and sanded the roof down, repainted the entire thing the same color and then wrapped it black? 😂

    • @DrivingProduction
      @DrivingProduction  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I figured that if I ever removed the wrap it would be blue like the car, but it was also one of those moments when I asked myself why did I paint it and not just wrap it like you said 😅😂

  • @peterlee3825
    @peterlee3825 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I maintained my 12 Speed3 by myself too and did a lot of jobs on it. Compared with yours my jobs seems tiny😅the most difficult one for me was to remove the trans to replace the clutch. What's your wheel model? That looks awesome on our 3

    • @DrivingProduction
      @DrivingProduction  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's great! You get to learn a lot about your car when you do all the work on it. In this video I had some NC mx-5 Special Edition wheels, they are 17x7 +55 so I was running 25mm spacer front and 35mm in the back. Now I'm running a set of Koning Hypergram. 👍

    Would you recommend changing the bushings in already installed parts? I have changed some suspension parts recently and they started to get damaged but i don't want to buy in new.

    • @DrivingProduction
      @DrivingProduction  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If they're still in good condition I would. The main reason I didn't do that was because of the amount of rust on my previous components. But if you changed them recently should be good to just replace the bushings! 👍

    All that work and a check engine light is lite up? Do you know the cargo space on the Mazda 3 is smaller on the 2nd and 3rd generation hatchbacks versus a 1st gen? I have a 1st gen looking to upgrade to a 2nd or 3rd gen Mazda 3?

    • @DrivingProduction
      @DrivingProduction  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes 😅 the CEL was on because of a small evap leak that came on and off. For cargo space 1st & 2ng gens are pretty close as they are based off the same platform, the 3rd gens are as big but you loose in height because the hatch is more curved then the other ones. 4th gens are the smallest hatch overall.

      I'm not sure if you can use the TB from the 2.3 or 2.5 MZR engine and if they are upgrades for the 2.0, but I would look into that if I were you. 👍

      If you have the MZR 2.5 the Speed transmission bolts up, you just need a Mazdaspeed clutch/flywheel plus the shift cables. I think you might need a few other things, but it's been done before there's information on the forums about it.
