I think you're spot on re: vacuuming. The simplest steps - removing the clutter and vacuuming - are probably 20% of the work but 80% of the results.

I definitely agree I myself a detailer I definitely would spend longer than 15-20 minutes in vacuuming. Makes more sense to get as much as possible, then extract the rest.

I agree with the vacuuming. You can accomplish so much with just that alone. You can get all the small hard to reach places w the vacuum them come in behind w the quick detail and a clean towel and your good to go!

I think it’s a personal preference on how long it takes to vacuum especially depending on how much dirt and debris is in the car. I don’t usually take long on vacuuming but I also try new things and vacuum at the end of the detail.

The clear coat is the first thing to go on Hondas. My Honda had a recall on the paint it was repainted yet the clear coat didn’t even last after the recall. But I also live texas it’s the desert and heat here eats away on the paint on many cars.

great content. like your approach. agree with your view on 'fancier' equipment with detailers. for the enthusiast (like me) who details his car 2-3 times a month, I am detailing an already-clean car. I mean, really, how dirty is a car going to get by an owner who is OCD and loves his car, that was also cleaned like 10 days ago? steam and suction will just damage it over time when it never really gets that dirty. every other detail is pretty much a wipe down with a towel. especially when I am the only one who has been in the car since the last detail. however, this honda is not the case, OMG. looks like it was used by a couple of chimney sweepers who lived in their work clothes, and the car. a steam cleaner would have cleaned the steering wheel, center arm rest, and door arm rests better than your result, IMO. never sure as a viewer, though; things on screen do not always look the same as when you are actually there in the car. the seats were definitely impressive from here! you never mentioned a smell...

  • @Nodontbuymeportal

Great detail. I noticed you still had the power on when cleaning the dashboard. You removed the seats, do need to disconnect the battery first, or is it not necessary? Thanks for a good video though.

Love your as well as other detail videos. I have learned so much from all of you. I dont detail as a profession, just a friends car here and there once or twice a year. I did a Honda Odessy van and drained the battery having all the doors open. I have seen only once where a detailer said to disconnect the NEGATIVE side of the battery but have not seen this advice again.Do detailers regulary disconnect their batteries??? Thanks for any help.

I have to be honest there's a part of me that wonders if these disaster details are staged. It's excellent content for the channel but it's hard for me to grasp how someone gets something this dirty for this long and is a "hoarder"...then suddenly they pay someone to have it cleaned. Hoarders don't usually snap out of it. I wanna believe these are real but having a hard time that there's this many disasters who suddenly want a detail.
