Thanks for the video. Can you please make without number for the heading 1, but for heading 2, and heading 3 contain the the number for heading 1? Such as, for heading 2, "1.1. heading 2", for heading 3. "1.1.1 heading 3"? Thank you.
1. Define new Multilevel list > Click level to modify > 1 2. More > Follow number with > Nothing > OK 3. Position insertion point after number of Heading 1 > Click left arrow (Select all numbers of Heading 1) > Ctrl+D (Font dialogue box) > Effects > Hidden
5 years latter, I've got the same problem. I applied title 1 to the document title itself so everything else was starting as a subtopic, such as 1.1. The easiest way for me was the following: when you go the edit screen like in 1:33, there is this option on the right: "link level to style" You just need to put headline style 2 in the #1 level, headline 3 in the #2 level and so on. I took like 20 seconds to get everything done.
The digit will not be shown (hide) in print only, the problem is we also submit a thesis in soft. kindly help to remove the digit before heading 1 completely in soft as well.
Simple, straight forward and great voice. All 3 things needed to be a good teacher.
Clear, accurate, brief. This was a perfect IT help video. Thank you so much!
THANK YOU!
This has been killing me for so long
God bless you as the first 33 seconds of you video helped me.
Thank you so much!!!! I have been looking for this solution for weeks! :)
Is it possible for heading 1 and 2 be left without assigned numbers, while starting numbering from heading 3 onwards for the remaining headings?
This has proved very useful. Thank you for publishing it.
Thanks for the video.
