I spent hours 2 days ago An almost gave up on even inserting a toc thank goodness for your tutorial!!! You’re the best, great explanation and thorough step by step.

This was EASILY the best tutorial I have seen. Looked at two others that just skipped over the fact that you have to assign headers to chapters. Which is just bizarre since that's what feeds the info to the toc! Thank you so so much!!

Just so you guys know, pressing "update entire table" will get rid of any formatting, so don't format it (bold, italics, indentation) until you've got all your headings how you like them.
is there an option to automatically put headers in the contents, when you already made a few headings (with distinct fonts and size) but never clicked on the headers button?

This was great! My only question which i'm sure i'll figure out shortly is: 1. What if I don't want the tile just to be what that section is about? HOw would the headings know? 2. How do I enter subheadings... i think I would scroll over to the right of heading but i'll figure it out
It's funny how we become experts in a field... But oftentimes overlook the value in learning how to best use the tools. Abraham Lincoln said if he was given six hours to chop down a tree he'd spend the first four sharpening the axe.

I think the difference is that this channel is run by a professional teacher vs a regular joe who uses word a lot.
