I was streaming, listening to music, scrolling social media, using the s pen, updating and signing in to all my apps, and a little gaming. The screen was off for maybe 2 hours throughout the 14 hours and I was still listening to music that whole time.

Yeah Samsung keeps ruining Android and trying to do their own thing.. it’s really a shame that software is so messed up because they have been killing it hardware wise since the S6 and arguably note 3/4. Imagine a Note 9 with stock android and only S pen features on top.

I heavily started using the S-pen more than I thought I would. I mean I'm always on the go and my profession requires me to send back and forth edited images and documents. So the s-pen is amazing. And the Penup app is just great.
I've owned a note series phones for years. The 9 is definitely awesome. I had no problem forking out a grand for it. Would definitely do it again now that I have had it for awhile. It's worth every penny

The reason why the selfie came out blurry was cause you took pic from some buttons on the side which might have made the pic blurry like it could have made the phone move a little bit. Try pressing heart rate sensor on the rear to take selfies without any blur if shutter button is not accessible

Nice real life review of the Note 9, Jud. Just one thing I noticed when you went to visit the winner of the giveaway; why did you take the selfie in portrait orientation? Wouldn't it have made more sense if you had turned the camera to landscape to fit everyone in? Not a big issue, just something I noticed. Also, I thought Arie shot your videos with you in them. I only noticed that it wasn't her filming when you rang her to ask her what you needed to pick up from the grocery store. Who shoots your videos for you when you appear in them? It didn't look like you were shooting in front camera mode.

Is it just me or did anyone remember when the Note 3 came out you didn't have an iPhone plus and everyone was like that phone was too big and the following year the Ipone plus came out and everyone all of a sudden started to like larger phones? I see the same pattern here because the iPhone 10 plus I think will be the same size as the Note 9 and no one will be complaining about size.

I use the S-pen to take actual notes in class, I put it in landscape mode, and boom! I write like it's an actual notebook. So, you can use that tip, turn it sideways
There are Apple's, Pixals, Huawei's. The note9 has it all. If your going to spend a grand for me this is the better valued phone. All the premium features including the kitchen sink, plain & simple!
Solid video. Played with the Note9 in person and despite being 6'1" with proportionate hands, I found the Note9 to simply be too clunky for normal use. I prefer the clean elegance of caseless, one-handed use. As tempting as this phone's incredible feature-set and hardware are (I do miss the S-Pen sometimes), I think I'll just keep rocking the regular S9. If only Samsung made a Note9 Mini that's somewhere between the S9 and S9 Plus in size... I'd be all over that!
One of the reasons why I'm going back to the note series. Tired of not being able to charge my iphone 7 plus and using a wired headset simultaneously. I honestly hate BT headsets its latency. I also hate the damn dongles.
I use wired headphones for going out and things, partly because they don't run out of charge, partly because they never have any audio lag, and partly because you can get a lot more for a lot less money
You can turn off the Bixby button. I have S9+ and the first thing I did was turn off Bixby altogether. I wish more reviewers would mention that you can turn it off so the accidental presses don't happen.
@@A.R_Cunningham if you swipe right at the home screen, it will show you bixby homepage. From there at the top, there is an option to turn off the bixby button. In this video, this guy doesn't turn off the bixby button which is kinda wierd considering other samsung phones that have bixby button can turn off.

@@shininggodmsbeyblader8284 I do really like my S6 Edge Plus and it is a pretty fast and high spect phone respectively even for 2018 but the software it's definitely aged and it can't keep up with newer applications and frequently has a lot of bugs such as the phone turns to a black screen and then automatically restarts, the camera will become blurry at times and take a long time to focus in addition the optical image stabilizer activates at random times and over time the micro USB charging port doesn't hold the cable in properly anymore and frequently will spit out the charging cable, the battery life isn't very good anymore due to the age of the device and overtime the 3.5 millimeter headphone jack started getting worse and worse with more glitches until the point to where it does not even work anymore. And no I do not have the note 9, but I'm really looking forward to the S10 plus and I think I may upgrade when that rolls out depending on features, specs and of course price, but I'm honestly considering the pixel 3XL but I hate notches so I probably will stick with Galaxy

I brought it last week and actually I replaced the battery because I thought battery is not getting me a full day after replacing still giving the same capacity like the older one . So I understand the battery management is disappointing in the phone. And u said 2hr 24min screen on time to became 72?? Dude my phone take only 1hour How did u get 6hrs? Im getting only 3-4hour max

It is much better than my 3 years old Galaxy Note 4 and very rarely happens to me that I have to charge the S9 twice a day. Usually it lasts me one or one and half days. So I am definetely not disappointed with the battery life.

I think that S-Pen thing will become a staple in terms of smartphone use in the near future. Was that the official Samsung case? I've gotten that one for my mom's S8+ and that case just didn't last too long...maybe almost a full year. I bought her a new case to replace it. Overall, the Note 9 is very impressive, but if you have a Note 8, it might not be too worth it. Odds are I think Samsung will eventually get rid of the headphone port if they release their own premium wireless earbuds like Apple. I'm impressed with the performance with gaming. Quite impressive. Honestly, I've only bought the iPhone for my smartphone needs and I upgrade every 2 or so iterations. I'm using the iPhone 7 Plus now so it's about time for me to buy a new phone. In that regard, I'm wondering what Apple will do in response to this and as an update to the 8, 8 Plus, and X.

Is it just me or did anyone remember when the Note 3 came out you didn't have an iPhone plus and everyone was like that phone was too big and the following year the Ipone plus came out and everyone all of a sudden started to like larger phones? I see the same pattern here because the iPhone 10 plus I think will be the same size as the Note 9 and no one will be complaining about size.

I use the S-pen to take actual notes in class, I put it in landscape mode, and boom! I write like it's an actual notebook. So, you can use that tip, turn it sideways

There are Apple's, Pixals, Huawei's. The note9 has it all. If your going to spend a grand for me this is the better valued phone. All the premium features including the kitchen sink, plain & simple!

Solid video. Played with the Note9 in person and despite being 6'1" with proportionate hands, I found the Note9 to simply be too clunky for normal use. I prefer the clean elegance of caseless, one-handed use. As tempting as this phone's incredible feature-set and hardware are (I do miss the S-Pen sometimes), I think I'll just keep rocking the regular S9. If only Samsung made a Note9 Mini that's somewhere between the S9 and S9 Plus in size... I'd be all over that!

One of the reasons why I'm going back to the note series. Tired of not being able to charge my iphone 7 plus and using a wired headset simultaneously. I honestly hate BT headsets its latency. I also hate the damn dongles.

You can turn off the Bixby button. I have S9+ and the first thing I did was turn off Bixby altogether. I wish more reviewers would mention that you can turn it off so the accidental presses don't happen.

@@A.R_Cunningham if you swipe right at the home screen, it will show you bixby homepage. From there at the top, there is an option to turn off the bixby button. In this video, this guy doesn't turn off the bixby button which is kinda wierd considering other samsung phones that have bixby button can turn off.
Yes you can turn it off but once you accidentally hit the button it is back on again.
Traded in my iPhone 8 plus for the Note 9 and I'm happy with my purchase. Awesome video man.

@@shininggodmsbeyblader8284 I do really like my S6 Edge Plus and it is a pretty fast and high spect phone respectively even for 2018 but the software it's definitely aged and it can't keep up with newer applications and frequently has a lot of bugs such as the phone turns to a black screen and then automatically restarts, the camera will become blurry at times and take a long time to focus in addition the optical image stabilizer activates at random times and over time the micro USB charging port doesn't hold the cable in properly anymore and frequently will spit out the charging cable, the battery life isn't very good anymore due to the age of the device and overtime the 3.5 millimeter headphone jack started getting worse and worse with more glitches until the point to where it does not even work anymore. And no I do not have the note 9, but I'm really looking forward to the S10 plus and I think I may upgrade when that rolls out depending on features, specs and of course price, but I'm honestly considering the pixel 3XL but I hate notches so I probably will stick with Galaxy

I'm using note 9 in 2022. I brought it last week and actually I replaced the battery because I thought battery is not getting me a full day after replacing still giving the same capacity like the older one . So I understand the battery management is disappointing in the phone. And u said 2hr 24min screen on time to became 72?? Dude my phone take only 1hour

@@MetaldoseAli I tried 4 different brands of batteries in my note 4 and it still wouldn't hold a charge longer than 3 hours. Finally had to upgrade, I can't deal with no battery.

@@ShrutiGuna Every tech reviewer said that the battery life is not very good, but I think it's pretty good. It is much better than my 3 years old Galaxy Note 4 and very rarely happens to me that I have to charge the S9 twice a day. Usually it lasts me one or one and half days. So I am definetely not disappointed with the battery life.

I think that S-Pen thing will become a staple in terms of smartphone use in the near future.
Was that the official Samsung case? I've gotten that one for my mom's S8+ and that case just didn't last too long...maybe almost a full year. I bought her a new case to replace it.
Overall, the Note 9 is very impressive, but if you have a Note 8, it might not be too worth it.
Odds are I think Samsung will eventually get rid of the headphone port if they release their own premium wireless earbuds like Apple.
