    Good work! I've dismantled 2 of these right down and put back together . By far the easiest saw I've done. Hard part was getting the damn lip on the cylinder down without snagging the ring. Took alot of trys haha

    • @richardflagg3084
      @richardflagg3084  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trim some of the plastic on your ring compressor to compensate for the cylinder neck. You'll still have to use it at an angle, but it helps.

    • @richardflagg3084
      @richardflagg3084  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't know how many teams of engineers they used to design the 441, but I think they all got their parts included into the build. I did a video several months ago and made a point to show how many parts had to come off just to pull the cylinder. Had a whole bench full of parts 🤣🤣

    Rich, couldn’t you just completely remove (machine off) the part of the jug assembly that sticks down into the case? If not then why?

    • @richardflagg3084
      @richardflagg3084  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That needs to be there to support the piston skirt at bottom of the stroke. It may be fine to remove it, but that's an expensive maybe it there is a problem.

    Has anyone ever tried mounting a 460 carb on a 462?

    • @richardflagg3084
      @richardflagg3084  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There was a time when they were offered with a traditional carb/ non-MTronic. Part number 1142 120 0600. If I were to try it and couldn't find one of those I'd try an RWJ off a 372 Xtorq or a WJ off a 660 but I'm not sure that would would work even it you swapped the butterfly shafts. I cant think of another Zama carb with a venturi that size.

    In regard to Schaeffer oil, has anyone tried their 9046 2-Cycle Outdoor Power Equipment Oil? I notice that it meets the JASO requirements and has a higher flash point of 242 F compared to 7000 TC-W3. Viscosity looks almost the same. But! The cost from their website is $279.45 for a 12 quart case whereas the 7000 is $138.83 for a 12 quart case😮. I paid $7.49 a quart at a local auto parts store last month for the 7000 so I will check locally if this 9046 is available to try. Nice build BTW!
