Another great test. I think it's important to show the battery results in cold weather.
Thank you soo much as always Chris.👍👍
I reeeeeealy looking forward to the "test" involving the Kona.🤩
Cheers,, 🍻🎅🤘
5 month until i get my born... exited
great video
Good videos you have! You also sound like Meek from the Avengers haha 😄
Thanks for the real world figures.
One of the only videos I found that shows the reversing camera, thank you for that. Do all the models have the overview thingy? Been binging your videos, very informative!
I think all Born have 360 degree camera.
360 camera is country specific. Here it`s an option that comes stock on the Cupra MAX.
At least currently 360 is not available due to component supply issues, only reverse. The same for enyaqs and citroens as far as I know.
Damm I thought that cupra was in emerald green alas just the light
Wasn't ID.3 under 13 kWh/100 km in your latest battery capacity range test?
Crazy! 😱
In the summer. They are the same!
What if you have set departure time to about 30 mins from the time you started filming?
Maby that woud have pre-conditioned the battery during charching? If I have understund correctly car heats the battery in two situations. 1. When you start driving and battery is cold (uses battery energy) and 2. Whileplugged in and departure time is set.
Hopefully manual battery heating control comes via OTA update. The decision should be made by driver or at least option for "advanced" drivers.
Battery temp was above 7 degrees. No automatic battery heater.
I had to look up another video to find the difference between travel assist and lane assist. Seems travel assist actually follows the lines and lane assist just shakes the steering wheel and shows yellow markers. As you need to have your hands on the steering wheel it seems of limited use. Personally after experiencing the ID4 GTX making lane changes fighting me I do not like this at all. My initial reaction is what is this BS! The born needs to remove the great big warning that the assist is offline. To me it should be the other way round the yellow warning should be for it being engaged.
Lane assist is a safety measure to pull you back if you drive of the line.
Travel assist is auto steering, keeps you in the middle.
Do you have a spreadsheet with your range test results?
Description
Is this worse than the ID3 in these conditions?
No, the same
Let's see, I did this the last time.
Haven't watched it yet and I'm guessing 234 km....
EDIT: oh well, 35 km off
230 is good or meh? Sounds to me its meh
For the conditions ok
@@BatteryLife would a 76 or 80 kwh be alot better or pretty much same results?
Did you say jojo or jolo.
Joloing, is that wrong?
@@BatteryLife jojo would be driving like a yoyo to heat up the battery.
Jolo (yolo) You Only Live Once, taking the guess to arrive with very low SoC.
Both helps to get good charge speed though
Heatpump?
Yes,
The big 18"+ tires on MEB cars can't be good for consumption...I bet this car would have a noticeably lower consumption with 16" tires...
On the id.3 first. 18, 19 or 20 have almost difference in consumption.
@@BatteryLife Almost difference?🤔
@@1derekwinter1 almost no difference!
-30 is very cold… +1 is absolutely moderate conditions 😉
-30 is dry. 1 degree in the wet feels very cold.
@@BatteryLife depending on where you live… 😎… e.g. i got now -15 , humidity 87% and 17m/s light wind… still alive))). And by the way my Volvo T8 lost only 10km of range in these conditions (28 km instead of 38 in the summer) …
I’d find that infotainment system infuriating. Sadly, for me, that’s a deal breaker. Once again, a potentially great car spoiled by penny pinching and some just straight out poor design. Come on VW/SEAT. This is something that surely you can fix. Honda learnt their lesson when enough people complained about the lack of a knob to control volume on the stereo system. Those ‘slider’ controls are just abysmal.
cupra software is very bad, those of us who have ids of Volkswagen are suffering from it and vw is not improving it
