  • Greetings All,
I got an email inquiry from one of my subscribers about issues he was having with his leagacy Daisy Model 155 BB gun. The leather abutment washer was pretty stuck and he was wondering what could be done to get it out of the gun so he replace the seal set and get it running once more. I've used this handy little DIY tool for cleaning up compresssion clyinders and getting the back face of the abutment washer bright and shiny for the incoming replacment seal. It also works pretty well on getting the barrel shroud ready for service as well.
    Thanks for watching!

Quick tip on lighting. I use a bore light. Available at all sporting goods stores and online.

I wonder if a proper size piece of copper or brass tubing could be used to cut the remaining leather out. Some cutting teeth could be filed on the end of the tubing to bite into the leather seal material. Think of a hole saw.

I'm sure that would work to a certain extent but I think you'd still need to run a scotchbrite pad to polish off the sticky bits.
