Are seals and fiber optic sight for RR something I could find on your store? I am interested by the airtube and spring combo but with shipping to canada I wonder if I could make "one box" worth the shipping cost _[Last time ive looked on ebay 1 tin of pellet (8$) was 40$ for shipping only ]_
@@LowkeyAirgunner Unfortunately I don't ship outside the US. It's not the cost of shipping- it's customs. I've had 2 orders confiscated because they were afraid the spring would give the gun too much power or some such nonsense. A possible workaround is to use a forwarding company to middleman a delivery if you don't have a friend stateside who can do it for you.

Interesting tool overview If my french brain understood right the spring wire is just to allign stuff together and I don't really need one if I want to do a spring and air tube swap? (Taking it appart only one time hopefully with no acess to replacement parts)
You are correct about the spring wire being used for alignment purposes during reassembly. Anytime you mount or re-mount the airtube it would be wise to use one to avoid battering the tip of the airtube into the abutment seal, due to the way the airtube is mounted in the end of the plunger assembly it has the ability to "flex" and often times will not align with the hole in the abutment it needs to fit into.

It might, it might not. I stick with 30wt non detergent oil and haven't had any issues. Let us know if that works as expected. Another subscriber swears by Frog Lube but I have yet to check that out.
Good information! I have a 1964 Daisy model 984 cork ball gun (50cal). Does it work on the same principle as the BB gun? Would disassemble and assembly be the same? It seems to work, but will not shoot out the cork ball. I was thinking it may need a new compression washer or something like that.
Congrats on having a very unusual Daisy! The first thing to check is whether you have bolts and screws holding it together or pop rivets. Some of the Daisy toy guns are not easily disassembled. If you have bolts, it ought to come apart the same as any other small frame. Most likely it will not have an airtube, just a flat faced piston at the end of the plunger assembly. I'm sure it could use a new compression seal but give it a healthy dose of oil before you take it apart. That might cure it's ills and get the cork balls flyin".
When you install the spring and plumber using the long wire to go through the washer hole, once the plunger is in place, how do you get the long wire out of the gun?
Howdy Shane. I have a DAISY SEARS 1894 YELLOWBOY CENTENNIAL BB Gun Western Style. I pulled everything apart and pulled the plunger assembly out, but the compression cup, o-ring and abutment washer all stayed in the tube. Any ideas on how to get those out of there? Nick.
Max, Congrats on picking up a Model 1894 Yellowboy, condolences on it not working. The only experience I have with that model is restocking one for a customer and it was royal pain. I'm not familiar with the internals aside from the curious tapered compression chamber which supposedly leads to a lack of power over time. You could head over to DaisyTalk and search the forum for tech tips on 1894 issues, on which there are a lot of posts.
Theres ammo called gel blaster ammo for gell braster guns, they usually get about 7.5-8 mm and i was wandering if theres a way to put a tube barrel on one of these that can shoot it.
Austin, That's a complicated question. I personally don't repaint my projects and instead use a firebluing process to put an oxide coat on the steel parts. The finished product is not uniform in color which I like but some folks don't care for. I can't recall any threads on matching factory paint over at the High Road forum but I'm willing to wager it's been discussed over at the DaisyTalk forum as they get deep in the weeds there. I need a new Plunger Head for a Crosman model SHRDN350. It is like a model 25 daisy but the crosman plunger head is larger in diameter, .88 inch in diameter 7/8 inch. Anyone know where I can get one.
Trying to repair a 1938B, but can't find instructions on how to remove the plastic loading port from the front of the barrel. Can anyone give me some help on how this is done. Thanks!
It's a pain. If it's not broken I would leave it in place. If it has to come out, tap the front sight off with a small block of wood. Then compress the loading port enough to be able to clear the loading port cut out and slide it towards the muzzle and out of the gun. It's most likely gonna break during that process. To install a new one is the reverse but make sure your shot tube is centered in the loading gate flanges to prevent binding/breakage.

@@larrysledgejr1423 I don't think so unless you're a really exceptional shot and can place the round thru the critters eye and into his brain. That might not kill a mid sized animal like a raccoon or opossum. They work fine on rodents but they get iffy on squirrels, especially at distance.

You are correct about the spring wire being used for alignment purposes during reassembly. Yes. I should have mentioned that you need a long enough chunk of wire to make that possible. I normally use one that's 18 inches long.

Just pull it out of the muzzle. THe wire is small enough to fit into the air tube so it's small enough to slip through the shot tube.

what do you use if you want to refinish metal parts. I know they are painted but do you have a correct color for matching factory finish.
