This video did something dangerous. It revived a long dead love for Star Wars, it’s been gone since episode 8, and I dropped off from watching any Star Wars stuff at Book of Boba fett. But this…. This makes me want to watch I-VI and then read old EU novels. Well done
Working on buying up all the Canon novels (they’re not EU, Disney is just bad fanfiction) for myself because I never got to read them pre-Disney, now I’m sad I never did.
If you don't like the Disney machine and want some good Star Wars that (to my knowledge) doesn't trample on any pre-established canon, watch Rogue One and Andor. They're fantastic additions to the overall story of the prequels and original trilogy, fleshing out the rebellion (and their struggle) and the empire.

@@MaxofZorroReviewsgreat vid but the lightsaber actually has a bit of weight because if only the hilt had weight you can just flick it around like a tv remote and flick around a tv remote, see how it would make no sense for the blade itself to be weightless, the blade actually has weight but just not that much weight
And that is why Disney will copyright strike it as soon as they find it. Anything that maintains people's love for StarWars )or any fanbase, really) is scheduled for corruption and destruction.
Turns out George Lucas himself stated that the lightsabers were supposed to be held as if they were heavy because of the amount of energy in the blades. That why in episode IV, they only held them with two hands, but as they progressed, he wanted more intense battles, so he incorporated the one-handed techniques as Luke became more skilled! Yeah, my headcanon is the hilts are heavy, and the blade is *almost* weightless, which makes it even more difficult to wield. It is light enough you can't rely on gravity, but heavy enough that maneuvering the dense hilt is made awkward, and wrist movements alone won't do it. @Forestdude9000 you can literally use the force to move faster and lift heavy objects, something that weighs 30ish pounds would be trivial for almost every jedi.

The curved hilt is so you can more easily point the tip of the lightsaber forwards, instead of it naturally sitting at an angle. This gives you more reach, and better tip control, making it more nimble and thrusts more effective.
@@MaxofZorroReviews XD IRL reason for the hilt angle was that Christopher Lee who played Count Dooku was a master fencer AND he had a injury from ww2 that made holding a straight hilt very difficult.

The color of a lightsaber is determined by the personality of the wielder and what sort of Jedi they are. Blue are Jedi Guardians who specialize mostly in the art of lightsaber wielding, green are Jedi Councilors who mainly specialize in the Force and only use their lightsaber for defense or as a secondary weapon. Jedi Sentinels, although almost entirely extinct by the Clone Wars, were a balance between the two and used yellow lightsabers. A Sith’s red lightsaber is based on their hate, fears and suffering. It’s a Sith tradition to bleed your kyber crystals once you have fallen to the dark side: to imbue your hatred into your kyber crystal and literally bleed it red. So yes, lightsabers do have a bit of weight to them, but nowhere near as much as Disney thinks. My fav droid sidekick was K2SO
The guy literally must be a disney writer to give us all this inside information.
This video is excellent, the satire is amazing. Subbed for future content similar to this :D
I needed this, this is amazing and I love it
Ya know, all ya gotta do is expand the scope on that idea, and that is our modern society.
Good short it was interesting and got me here.
This might be your best video yet. Expert levels of taking the piss out of Disney just by showing how inferior (most of) their stuff is compared to actual Star Wars.
This video was brilliant. Jolly good show.
Halfway-through-comment, I love this video. ❤
This was so good. Bravo!👏🏻
