@@mr.breadman4181 Each to their own but I disagree with the animation part it still holds up in my opinion because a lot of fan films and even the Studio Trigger anime film took cues and have used the cell shading animations inspired from that movie. Literally All the things you said about the '07 Bay movie is Exactly what I have said about the '86 movie. It was MY childhood ... Flaws and all. Since you have never actually seen the OG 80's series .. Naturally the OG animated movie won't do much for you. But for us that grew up with the 80's cartoon and characters, it was both epic and heartbreaking. Adding my 2 cents for rankings: (note, I have not seen TF One yet so I reserve judgment) 1. '86 Movie for reasons stated above. Ties with Bumblebee. This is what the Bay movies Should have been. 2. RotB The Only Live Action film where Optimus was portrayed most accurately to his G1 roots. And as Peter Cullen intended him. 3. TF '07. There was much of this film I did NOT like. Including the incessant and stupid 9 yr old toilet "humor". But it was the very first live action TF film and it reignited the franchise into what it is today. And for THAT I am ever grateful. Add hearing Peter Cullen's voice on the big screen for the first time in almost 30 years. . . . . . . . . . . . The rest of the Bay films are not even in my top 100.. let alone top 10. Hated the designs. Hated the dialog. Hated the mechanical cluster F*k fight scenes. Hated the lack of real character development. Great explosions though. 👍
Fun fact: The Epic Voice Guy (Eric Bailey I believe is his name) the voice of Honest Trailers voiced Soundwave in Transformers One. He also does a really solid impression of Optimus Prime.

The original conception of Sentinel Prime was nothing like he was in Transformers One. This version of Sentinel Prime was villainized. Although, in the Bayformer movie he was in, he was also a villain. But, in this movie he is essentially Megatron in every way. Which, is what made the battle/hate between D-16 and Sentinel Prime make me scratch my head because they are the same character. They each crave power and want to rule over all. I really did not buy D-16's fall from grace. Not once was he shown as being impulsive or one to act first and let his emotions control him. That was Orion Pax in this movie. This story TOLD us how D-16 felt about Sentinel Prime prior to his fall... it never SHOWED us why he was such a fan of him.
@@KYRSZ-gd1qt You really underestimate what a complete and utter DESTRUCTION of someone'e core beliefs can do to them It made PERFECT sense why D 16 reacted the way he did. The entire way of life he believed was right was a lie. He was essentially championing the fact that he was FORCED into basically robot slavery the ENTIRE time and didn't even know that. And his so called Champion which was really just the law is responsible for ALL of that INCLUDING THE VIOLENT MURDER of what seems to be his CHILDHOOD HERO Megatronus Prime Which he LITERALLY SAW btw Yh if THAT does NOT break your beleif system then I dont know what will😂 Oh and Orion from the beginning believed that the system was full of 💩 and that "somebody lying". The movie quite literally OPENS with that so the blow of having his so called reality would destroyed would hurt less since he smelled something fishy about it anyway. He literally says that in the movie😂 I think you need to watch the movie again💀. Sentinel and D-16 had nothing in common. Sentinel was a pyschopath only concerned with his power. D-16 was essentially Peacemaker but instead of still believing in the system he revolts against it. Or a law abiding citizen D16 and Sentinel had ZERO commonalities other than violence and power by the end. But their motiges are COMPLETELY different
I think my biggest gripe w/ rise of the beasts was how insignificant death felt by the end of the film. Our 3 lead Autobots: Bee, Mirage and Optimus were all set up to make a big sacrifice, only for the film makers to go "look at that, they're alive!". The first time it happened it was alright because of Bee's entrance (even if his resurrection basically came down to "magic rock: we don't know where it came from and it hasn't done anything for generations, but we need bee for the next movie), but by Optimus' turn, his decision to sacrifice himself for Earth didn't carry much weight since it was very obvious he wasn't going to die either. I mean, it's fine, I wasn't expecting any of them to stay dead considering the films have been set up for at least a trilogy, but it's just weird that they decided to do it 3 times in the one film.
Pretty cool list, and you gave good reasons as to why you placed the movies in your respective rankings. Nice. As for my own personal ranking list (I sadly haven't seen Transformers: ONE yet and won't be able to until October 10th), it's as follows: 1. Age Of Extinction 2. 2007 3. Bumblebee 4. Dark Of The Moon 4. Rise Of The Beasts 5. Revenge Of The Fallen 6. The Transformers: The Movie 7. The Last Knight
@@AnotherNickMovies At the time of watching it I honestly thought the same, but my opinion of the movie was definitely muddied a bit after hearing how poorly Peter Cullen was treated throughout it's production. They really tried screwing him over.

Dark of the moon was my first "Big Epic Battle" movie, and idk if its criminal liking war movies or something like that ,but i allways wanted to see the real war between 2 or more sides on any kind of way possible,so when i knew of the war btween autobots and decepticons since i watched g1 and the classic movies,I dont even caredabout the humans of the movies after all,(only the movies humans, Transformers prime humans are cool). So watching it was a dream coming true and, COME ON THE EPIC PRHASES ARE COLD AS HELL!With that being said* i liked that you gave some space for it and dont put it on the last category.
Tbh i'd put Age of Extinction higher. The way they portray Humans as greedy savages with superiority complex, and their view on Transformers as another piece of metal instead of a Life were interesting to see. imagine seeing your friends' bodies were dismembered and sown to make another creature, like in Tusk (2014) or The Human Centipede, many people do not realize the gravitas to it because many see Transformers the way the villains do. Optimus was torn between seeing the humans turning into what he hates the most (Disregard of sentient life), and still vowed to protect them. Another Unpopular Opinion: Last Knight is A tier
28:50 That's not really "the best transformers movie", because the more you watch it, the more you start to realise that it's literally ,,Iron Giant". The protagonist meets an alien robot, who's being hunted by the government. Then the robot's defensive mode turns on when being provoked by human soldiers. And finally, the robot sacrifices himself to save the day (except bumblebee survives)
At most Revenge of the Fallen should be in C tier for a few reasons: 1. Forest Battle 2. The Decepticons scheming up bringing back Megatron and then setting up the traps throughout the movie 3. The Egypt fight as a whole was really good, rogue Decepticons fighting the military and Autobots. The story did have a few turns and mix ups but overall at least a C

Listen, I don’t care what anyone says, Age of Extinction is one of my favorite Bayverse movies, and nobody will tell me otherwise. The plot imo was genuinely really well thought out, even though it was executed poorly, but it was still really fun to watch. Optimus’ design in this movie is fucking badass and I also think Age of Extinction is where the CGI peaked. It’s the one movie where i truly felt like every frame of the movie I was watching was real, and every transformer shown was genuinely there on set. And i’m sorry, but I can’t tolerate the disrespect towards the autobots. While yes, from a character standpoint, they definitely aren’t great, but i love the diversity and how colorful they are. Drift is a silent badass, Hound is a funny badass, and Crosshairs is a charismatic badass. They’re all bad-asses. I also think that lockdown deserves more credit. Yeah he is kind of just there, but that’s his role in the movie, to just be there and get the job done. I was really disappointed to see the dinobots so late in the movie though. I still really enjoyed the Optimus and Grimlock scene and watching him join the battle with all the dinobots was so exciting to watch. I do really wish the humans were more interesting though. It’s kind of a shame considering the Transformers movies were always something i thought Mark just- belonged in, at least in my opinion anyway. But yeah, I know everyone definitely won’t share the same opinion as me, and I totally get it, but AOE will always be special to me.
Tbh, my favorite AOE is too. With some of your takes I might disagree (Especially with Optimus design). But, I think this movie is really underrated. And 07 with DOTM are too overrated.
AoE is the pinnacle of turn brain off fun meets incredible special effects - the last knight does both of these in times but my god the human characters and pacing is so awful
In my opinion they should have kept that cut opening scene from Rise of the Beasts. It was cool to see Prime as a more (intentionally) violent version of himself and that the war and loss of his home has really effected him. Unlike the Bay movies where it seemed like he was just going psychotic over time.
Eh dark of the moon was actually a really good movie all things considered and if it got it's original ending it would be pretty damn good I really like the 86 movie but without nostalgia it's actually pretty average Unicron is your average big bad with a absolutely awesome voice and the characters are pretty one note as the movie focuses on hot rod
@@mr.breadman4181 but thats just looking at it from a story standpoint. The animation is terrific, and probably the best in the franchise. The colors pop, the detail is insane, and its super fluid for its time. The battle for Autobot City still holds up, as do the later fights with Galvatron. To me the animation and character designs alone are enough to put it above the Bay Movies, plus I actually really enjoy how campy it is. Unicron doesn’t need to be anything more, he’s voice acted by Orson Welles. Plus the one good thing in Dark Side of the Moon is Leonard Nimoy and he likely was only in that because he already voiced Galvatron in the 86 film.
I can understand the flaws of Revenge Of The Fallen but in reality its still an enjoyable film to rewatch since it had moments that are creative, unique, and memorable.... Now i will say its not the best or epic like DOTM but its definitely a badass film worth watching that builds so much hype and chills towards fans Which is why i would put it in B tier 🔥💯🔥.
I did the exact same thing. I went straight to my local Target and bought the Studio Series Transformers One Optimus Prime right after watching the movie with a friend
Bumblebee and TFOne should flip spots. Bumblebee is great, but there isn't really a plot. It's just them kind of doing nothing until the decepticons show up
I think that AOE rating is unfair. In a kids perspective, It’s another transformers movie with all our favorite characters we remember and love, and new ones we are excited for, no matter their screen time. Also, the lines in this movie are FIRE! Like, Optimus got that paper burning with his edit-worthy quotes. Honestly, I think it deserves at least a C+.
AOE was actually one of my favorites. i think it was lockdown, optimus's glow up, galvatron, stanley tucci, the dinobots, and that one imagine dragons song they used in the climax that got stuck in my head for a solid year

Optimus Prime: Before time began, there was the Cube. We know not where it comes from, only that it holds the power to create worlds and fill them... with life. That is how our race was born. For a time, we lived in harmony. But like all great power, some wanted it for good, others for evil. And so began the war. A war that ravaged our planet until it was consumed by death, and the Cube... was lost to the far reaches of space. We scattered across the galaxy, hoping to find it, and rebuild our home.

(note, I have not seen TF One yet so I reserve judgment)

@@KoalaTContent Okay? That has nothing to do with the G1 movie
Glad you put BB in S tier. That intro in the movie is everything.
I just realized Sentinel Prime is basically the Cybertronian Magneto
Not really, Sentinel Prime was fueled by greed. Magneto is fueled from ptsd. Sentinel Prime is the kind of person that Magneto fights against
If anything Dr.Doom is probably a bit more accurate
Sentinel Prime is more like Homelander while Megatron is like Magneto
@@KYRSZ-gd1qt You really underestimate what a complete and utter DESTRUCTION of someone'e core beliefs can do to them
It made PERFECT sense why D 16 reacted the way he did. The entire way of life he believed was right was a lie. He was essentially championing the fact that he was FORCED into basically robot slavery the ENTIRE time and didn't even know that. And his so called Champion which was really just the law is responsible for ALL of that INCLUDING THE VIOLENT MURDER of what seems to be his CHILDHOOD HERO Megatronus Prime
Which he LITERALLY SAW btw
Yh if THAT does NOT break your beleif system then I dont know what will😂
Oh and Orion from the beginning believed that the system was full of 💩 and that "somebody lying". The movie quite literally OPENS with that so the blow of having his so called reality would destroyed would hurt less since he smelled something fishy about it anyway. He literally says that in the movie😂
I think you need to watch the movie again💀. Sentinel and D-16 had nothing in common. Sentinel was a pyschopath only concerned with his power. D-16 was essentially Peacemaker but instead of still believing in the system he revolts against it. Or a law abiding citizen
D16 and Sentinel had ZERO commonalities other than violence and power by the end.
Subscribed. Keep up the quality of your videos just like this one!

W….wait…..they’re cgi?! 3:39

DOTM in A tier is criminal, that is the best New Transformer movie.
Literally, I’m there to watch robots fight and that’s chock full of it. What’s wrong with this guy and everyone in the comments

In my opinion they should have kept that cut opening scene from Rise of the Beasts. Unlike the Bay movies where it seemed like he was just going psychotic over time.
Its insane to put anything from the Bayverse above the 86 movie. The first 20 minutes alone is better than anything that those movies have to offer.
only a few of the live action movies are better than 86
Eh dark of the moon was actually a really good movie all things considered and if it got it's original ending it would be pretty damn good I really like the 86 movie but without nostalgia it's actually pretty average Unicron is your average big bad with a absolutely awesome voice and the characters are pretty one note as the movie focuses on hot rod
