    The best thing you've ever built. I'm sure it would hit 80 easily with balanced wheels and on a smooth track. Helmet, gloves, you don't want the road rash if you ever tip on that.

      maybe slightly different gearing as well

    • @gt1man931
      @gt1man931 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Karts don't use them(steering damper), typically, if the front end is aligned there is no need. I guess one could retrofit one for a bike or quad, but it just adds unneeded weight.

    I have seen a lot of friends get injured and killed in that time.From experience if you are going to run that fast,especially on a public road you are sharing with cars and trucks,please get a helmet,cage and harness.

Also, anyone else realize that he broke just about every possible traffic law except for him being in the correct lane? That's how you know he really enjoys it. When he doesn't care about anything else. I'm sure he does care about the laws, but he sure as hell didn't at that moment. Have fun and be careful on that thing man, it can really hurt you. • @BillyG869
    @BillyG869 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I ran go karts in the 60’s, we used Mac 10’s which were chainsaw engines. I had a race ready cart i raced weekly. It would do a little better than 70 mph consistently. It could have been geared higher, but that hurt the power in my turns. I’m not at all wanting to criticized your built machine, its spectacular. I’m probably going to build one very similar and want to make sure I can upgrade that Yamaha from time to time. Can you do another video on going to a larger motor.

    Looks like you need to extend the pedals so the contact point is on the ball of your foot. Will give you more linear control. Also, put in a heel rest so your leg isn't floating. That would help a lot as well, especially when taking off and the torque is pulling our foot back. That thing is crazy quick!
